How is Christianity not conservative? What distinguishes a *true* conservative from a *false* conservative, IOW, a CINO?

What about that Jim? Do you feel "somehow pressured or coerced"? I never got that feeling from your statements about FR concerning Christianity and censorship.

True conservatives support the Constitution and are for freedom of religion and freedom for religion, not freedom FROM religion.

Promoting that atheistic, religion free environment, political climate, and society, is a recipe for disaster.

Conservative values are pro-God and pro-freedom, just what adhering to Judeo-Christian values brought you when they wrote this.....

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Note the part about *nature's God*. Not a God-free world.

This is an example of what Christianity can lead to which is why conservative values (ones that uphold the Constitution) are also Christian values.

There are no conservative values that can't be supported by the Judeo-Christian morality and belief system.

You know, I’m pretty silent on these Creationist threads that GGG posts (even though I’m part of his ping list). I personally am an Old Earth Creationist / ID’er ... though I understand that it doesn’t matter one iota as to my relationship with my Maker as long as I put my trust in Him.

All of that said, I do not have a violent reaction to atheist articles, or Young Earth Creationist articles. I keep an open mind, and go where the evidence points.

This militant hatred of GGG and the articles he posts I think is just a sign of your conscience nagging you.

I am writing an apologetics paper right now and one of the things that struck me about discussions with atheists is not so much that they sincerely think that God doesn’t exist (though a small minority actually do not think God exists) — it is just that they despise who He is and what He stands for. Their attitude towards believers was more akin to, “If I am going to Hell, I’m taking you with me!” As opposed to the Christian who (and I believe this is why GGG posts these articles) is to say, “If I am going to Heaven, I’m taking you with me!”

BTW, I’m no dummy — I started college when I was 12 years old. I graduated with a CompSci major when I was 17. Keep your stereotypes to yourself.
