You must remember that a virus mutates. The AIDS virus has many different strains.
Clearly it’s a BS story. I can’t see 11,000 people volunteering to be purposely infected with aids.
And like you say, it means nothing because the virus mutates.
It’s easy to develop a vaccine for a single strain. The problem has always been that it mutates rapidly making those vaccines useless.
