Its always a bad sign when a US president gets several rounds of heavy applause at the UN General Assembly, as Barack Obama did this morning in New York. Needless to say, the loudest cheers from the gathering of world leaders came when he condemned the actions of a close US ally, Israel, in continuing to build settlements in the West Bank. You can always rely on attacks on the Israelis to generate the biggest roars of approval at any meeting of the United Nations, and Obama dutifully obliged.

Nile rocks.
Was this though Obamas most naïve speech ever? It is a very strong candidate, but I think there is intense competition for that accolade. The presidents speeches in Cairo, Strasbourg and Prague would all vie for that title. Still, his address today will go down in history as one of the weakest major addresses by a US president on foreign policy in a generation, by a leader who seems embarrassed, even ashamed, by the power and greatness of his own country.
This was an exceedingly dull, poor speech that overwhelmingly failed to advance US interests on the world stage.

How many innocent people will die, because of Barrys marxism, his naive way of looking at the world? We will be very fortunate if we do not have a major man made disaster before Jan.20, 2013. Well, the left has killed about 120 million in the last 100 years or so...so I'm guessing there will be a lot more...

Such a predictable speech. Obama gets up in front of one of the larger gatherings of anti-semites in the world and says “The Jews did it”.

This came from a Brit reporter in Washington. The American MSM still refuses to criticize the Messiah they put in office.

Getting better. I have the TeleSur feed going to keep track of Honduras and they just reported that Noam Chomsky has applauded and praised Obama’s speech as the answer to his generation’s prayers! Final, remaining doubt that BO is a communist is now gone.

Was this Obamas most naïve speech ever?
Nope, he is trying to start a war in the Middle East to (1)Make an excuse for pulling all our troops out. (2) Distract people at home from the failures of his healthcare, economic, energy, and environmental policies. This speech went a long way towards backing Israel into a corner from which they will either have to strike out in the next few months or be exterminated under a rain of Iranian nukes.

Bush was despised by the UN, Hussein is loved...or at least tolerated and generally laughed at for being such a willing traitor to “his” country.
