Between Honduras, Iran-Israel, Swine flu, the economy, and possible use of the nuclear option by the US senate to pass healthcare reform, it sure seems like a lot of bad stuff is coming together all at once.
“de facto” government.
Meanwhile no mention of the Communist COUP that Zelaya is attempting. He was LEGALLY removed from office under the Constitution.
Imagine AmericanPravda saying the same thing about Al Gore’s presidency if Bubba Clinton had been impeached and he was seeking to retake the Oval Office through protest and force.

Ok Skippy. Best be careful of those grandiose remarks...
We understand that huge orders for Birkinstock combat sandals have been placed by ChristiansforObama, a nonprofit group. Honduras better watch out.
Let him stay at the Brazilian embassy forever unless escorted out of the country personally by the Brazilian ambassador.
Zelaya should be careful what he asks for.
Keep all power off, confiscate any generators, no water,np phone lines, in effect close down the Embassy and tell the Brazilians they are expelled from the country. Maybe Zelaya will get a bad case of dehydration.
Their money has been militarized? How does that work?

and you might want to add...Al-Qaida in USA, Taliban in Afghanistan, N.Korea... One or more of these things is bound to 'blow up' and cause alot of collateral damage.
I was last in Tegucigalpa in August 2007. During the day I poured concrete, built houses, and painted. This was for the grateful citizens of Mateo and Mgote (suburbs of Tegucigalpa). Despite their deep poverty, Hondurans were so appreciative that they gave out of their poverty whatever they could, even though not asked. The “common” people are indeed gracious and thoughtful. I had one mother ask me to adopt her 9 year old son to get him out of the country and allow him an opportunity for a full life. I worry about Eduardo, and his friends.
At night, I interfaced with a lawyer from the President’s (Zelaya’s) office to get tax exempt status for a relief organization. There was a clear departure of attitude with the government officials.
Hurricane Mitch, with its torrential rains in 1998 destroyed the infrastructure of the country. It did not destroy the spirit of the people.
I am told this morning that the “mobs” rioted outside the gates of the compound where I stayed. The Americans maintaining the medical/dental clinic have been evacuated.
Please pray for the people of Honduras. The people are strong, but they need divine intervention.

“Restitution or DEATH?” Uh huh. I suppose that’s why this HERO is hiding out in the Brazilian Embassy. Just a southern Obama!
Too bad he didn’t get “lost” when he was expelled from the country the first time.

Any deaths from this whole thing are at the hands of Obama, because this wouldn’t even be a live issue if it weren’t for his inexcusable position and meddling on it.
This may be the first time the US government has helped install a Communist dictator. Obama is doing his usual routine—keeping himself remote from the action (like having Holder go after the CIA guys). I don’t think the Brazilians got the idea on their own to smuggle Zelaya into the country—they were doing it for Obama. Zelaya isn’t interested in just serving out his term—if he gets back in, he’ll be President for Life.
