I believe that da One’s latest nominee for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission had a big hand in crafting this bill.

While everyone’s attention is focused on healthcare, look at what this administration is really pushing behind the scene. Now I know why I suspected that the healthcare debate was being over dramatized.

That isn't what this is about.

What this does is mean that you might hire what appeared to be a normal person for a job, but when the guy shows up to work...he is wearing a mini-skirt, high heels, and a wig.

This passes and you can't fire the freak, you are stuck with a fruit greeting your customers!

Their plan is to turn every business into a queer bar!

A. Businesses, as well as local, state, and federal governments, including public schools, will be forced to hire gays, lesbians and transgenders.

This is merely part of the communist plan to destroy our nation:

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

Can we move that Ohio border just a tad farther north? At least cover Delaware County—it’s securely red.

Rebirth and resurgence of the family owned and operated business. No employees. No problems. Been there. Done that. It is SO much better than hiring outside staff. Farm out what the family can't handle. Let all the employee/hiring/firing/lawsuits be someone else's problem.

“Prohibits the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) from collecting statistics from covered entities on actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity or compelling the collection by covered entities of such statistics.
Provides for enforcement, including giving the EEOC, the Librarian of Congress, the Attorney General, and U.S. courts the same enforcement powers as they have under specified...”

So, the bill prohibits data collection yet provides enforcement measures - byt the Librarian of Congress??

So many questions here. If it’s illegal to ask about sexual orientation, etc., how is a business supposed to comply? And since when has the Librarian of Congress been an enforcer? Barney Frank is the sponsor of this. One of his friends must work for the Library of Congress. That’s my best guess.

So what prompted this bill? Why is it necessary? Are gays really having trouble finding jobs due to their homosexuality, or is this yet another effort to bully social conservatives into submission?

When the government started down this road of nondiscrimination, it was inevitable that it would come to this. The path to Hell is lined with good intentions. It is the same with “hate crimes.” The government wants to control everything, even our thoughts. The problem is that the government is composed of sinful and corrupt human beings. It is these sorts of people that determine what is “hate,” and what is “discrimination.” Our government is not based upon moral absolutes or commonsense. It is based upon personal power and wealth. People refuse to learn from history, and America will end just as all empires end.

No, the nation might be going to Hell, but those of us who are really Christians will not!

This is a terrible day; my head is hurting from the speeches at the UN and then this legislation, along with the ongoing ACORN stuff and the shenanigans of the current Congress and president & his administration.

As my stepson said when he was 5 and had a bad day at kindergarten: my head hurts and I don’t feel so good, can I go to Heaven instead of school tomorrow? (Thankfully, he’s still here with us and not yet at home in Heaven—but ya gotta laugh at his innocent desire!)

Pass any law you want. I still do not have to accept the perversion of homosexuality!
If I cannot fire you for being a pervert then I can sure as hell find another reason to fire a pervert.

Catholic Church - The spiritual works of mercy are:
* To instruct the ignorant;
* To counsel the doubtful;
* To admonish sinners;

Admonishing a homosexual sinner would be considered considered hate speech and grounds for a hostile work environment lawsuit.

Employers' rights have already been stripped by the Civil Rights Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Although very well-intentioned, those laws robbed American business owners of their property rights and freedom of association in an attempt to reach noble goals. It's why conservatives like Barry Goldwater took a principled stance against such legislation. This proposed law is just another step down a road we've been traveling for quite some time.

This is why I encourage social conservatives to be very careful in supporting "moral" legislation that is not aimed at protecting legitimate rights. Every expansion of government power is a precedent for further expansion, and there are always going to be people who want to expand the power of the government into areas you do not like. Who would have anticipated in the 1960's that Christian employers might face something like this? Perhaps a few individuals warned of this, but they were probably brushed aside as paranoid extremists by supporters of the civil rights legislation.

Once people think they have a "right" to employment and employers have to justify their personal decisions to the state, this is the kind of stuff you'll end up with. And this isn't the last of it, either.

The threat of ENDA has been in the news since the election. It was one of Zero’s main selling points to his radical wing zombies.
