ACORN can teach the GOP a thing or 2

Once again, those Republicans have got it all wrong, this time on the ACORN thing.

They're beating up those gentle, community-organizing ACORNistas, moving to cut millions in ACORN federal funding just because of a dozen or so underage, fictitious Central American hookers.

So I called a leading hunter of the ACORNistas, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., who has been criticizing ACORN on TV.

Rather than waste a valuable national resource, you should hire ACORN immediately! Let them teach all Americans the secrets of government loopholes so middle-class taxpayers can level the playing field and be treated as fairly as a bunch of hypothetical Ecuadorean -- or was that Salvadoran? -- prostitutes.

if ACORN was in it for the money, this might have been workable.

I asked Issa if Republicans were going the way of the Neanderthal. There was a long, awkward pause.

"I guess we're not thinking far enough ahead to suit you," he said, as if speaking to a madman.

Republicans aren’t organizers....each time we have won elections the elections have been won through grassroot movements... The Republicans did not push President Reagan... two men pushed Ronald Wilson Reagan to be our president. The media certainly did not help with getting Bush elected. They’re the ones that hated Bush. One more example is the 2000 presidential election. What a nightmare. The Dems were there and they had every intention of stealing Florida. The people in the state of Florida organized and stopped the Democrats in Southern Florida - NOT the Republicans.

Hard-working Americans who are fed up (Tea Party People) have to be our grassroots movement. In addition, understand the White House is looking for ‘A’ or ‘The Leader’ of the Tea Party Movement. Why? So they can dig as much dirt on them as possible to discredit the movement. Therefore, let’s organize locally, volunteer to work for the local Republican Party (take over the local GOP. As Mark Levin stated last night, Tea Party people, educate those around you and take 20 with you to vote. Sorry for being long winded but we can’t depend on the Republican party.
