PHILIP ELLIOTT (AP) - Associated Press Writer WASHINGTON White House officials told agencies across the government Tuesday they should take care to avoid even the appearance that politics played a part in the award of federal grants.
The advisory came in response to an embarrassing incident last month in which a National Endowment for the Arts official asked artists on a conference call to coordinate with the Corporation for Public Service on ways to help bolster President Barack Obama's public service agenda

Don’t overstep when you are grinding your heels into the backs of the citizenry.
Translation: “Be more careful next time. Don’t get caught.”
Pure coincidence they looked to Obama’s personal minister of propaganda, Shepard Fairey.
“Stop Snitchin’”
Hell no........that call was ALL about pushing Obama’s so-called health care reform, not some public service agenda. It was a blatant attempt at setting up a de facto propaganda arm for the Obama administration, and why people aren’t standing in front of judges while handcuffed right now is beyond me.
Urban translation: “I’m gonna smack some bitches up, lest they start representin’ me correckly!”
The Obama Administration thinks there is a reason to fund political art at the same time they want to ID the “Why So Socialist” Joker Obama poster artist who worked out of his own pocketbook.
What they’re saying is: “Don’t embarrass the MSM by making it so obvious that they cannot explain how they missed a payof- a grant to friends.”
that means there is more dirt they are trying to sweep under the rug.
Believe it or not, the New York Times just posted this AP story.
And to think yesterday I brought it to their attention in a letter to the Editor. I guess they must have been listening!
That's what I would say to my 3 year old nephew when he started running up the driveway..."Stop, or I'll say stop again!"
They posted this particular story because it makes the White House look like it’s making some unprompted, noble ethical policy with minimal reference to the Administration’s action to get NEA funded artists to do Obama propaganda.
Nudge nudge, wink wink...
