Lately it seems a lot of these were families that have lost everything and have no seeming way to turn.
Pretty sad.

Several people have been murdered in the small town of Beason. The Logan County Sheriff will only say they found multiple dead bodies late Monday. We are hearing that a family with children may be the victims here. We're told that five may be dead and one injured, but police are not confirming this right now. Part of Broadway Street is blocked off. We hear that the crime scene is at least one house. The Illinois State Police and the Logan County Sheriff's Department are investigating. We're expecting to find out more during a news conference sometime Tuesday. You will be able to watch the news conference live on StormCenter 17, or on WANDTV.com through our live streaming video player starting at 11:00 a.m.

BEASON Five members of the Raymond Gee family of Beason were found dead at their residence on Broadway Street Monday afternoon, Logan County Sheriff Steve Nichols said today. Authorities said they have no suspects in custody and are seeking information about the crime, perhaps one of the bloodiest in the countys history. Another member of the Gee family, who is reported as the only survivor of the massacre, was airlifted to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center for treatment of unspecified wounds. Some residents were saying the surviving victim was a toddler, approximately 3 years of age, but authorities would not confirm this information. Nichols identified the deceased family members as Raymond Gee, Ruth Gee, Austin Gee, Justina Constant and Dillon Constant. The sheriff did not provide the ages of the victims or give information about the surviving family member. Raymond Gee has published advertisements in The Lincoln Courier for Gee Construction of Beason, owned and operated by Raymond F. Rick Gee.

Why are all these mass murders happening in states that voted for Obama?
To: mlizzy
Raymond Gee has published advertisements in The Lincoln Courier for Gee Construction of Beason, owned and operated by Raymond F. Rick Gee.Just an offhand guess, but could this be a family murder/suicide? Construction business goes sour in a bad economy. Family in dire straits, family man can't handle the pressure. Again, just a guess with little to support it.

I live in Normal IL, just up the road. From what I’ve heard, the police have advised locals to lock their doors. If it was a murder-suicide, I think that the police would indicate as such to give the public a sense of ease.
www.pantagraph.com is the local paper in Bloomington/Normal. This of course is the top story.

Modern society has depreciated life, is emotionally weak and has forgotten constructive methods for dealing with personal challenges.
This is so very sad and I fear will grow more common.

What? I haven’t heard this? Has it been reported in the media?

What? I havent heard this? Has it been reported in the media? He (?) posted this to you, and to me on another thread about the same topic, on the day he signed up on FR. I asked the same question you did. No response to either inquiry. Looking at his home page, these are his only two posts.
I did a Google search yesterday of local news media and found nothing, either in print or TV. This is a highly suspicious post, IMO, and should be taken that way until backed up with a source. And I'm not going to hold my breath waiting.
Posting a derogatory comment about a private individual on an Internet forum without adequate confirmation is not proper in any sense. It makes me wonder if this were a set up, trying to garner negative remarks that then could be held against FR.
