A registered sex offender is allowed to continue contacting the victim.

Sooooo....let me get this straight... A registered sex offender is allowed to continue contacting the victim. When Goddard gets out, the girl will be over 16, which is the age of consent in the UK, and Goddard will not be her teacher any more.

The sexual age of consent in Britain is 16. The pupil will be 16 by the time of this teacher’s release. And as a legally sexual adult, there is nothing the law can do to stop them having a relationship.
