Thirded.
Apparently State Run Media is Limbaugh’s phrase.
Fringe Media is Beck’s.
When talking, I find that I’ve said “State Run Media” quite fluently, naturally, without any special emphasis.
State Run Media is a phrase that has been used to describe the Media in Socialist countries, Communist countries, Dictatorships, where the Media is literally run by the State.
If Obama is anything like the dictator of a socialist country, it’s actually quite reasonable to call the media “state run media” It’s still a stretch, but not so much.
Fringe Media is a real term, but the truth of the matter is that, yes, Fox has more viewers than CNN, MSNBC and Headline News combined, but when you add in NBC ABC and CBS evening news shows, collectively, it really isn’t fringe.
If you’re looking for made up words, I’ve heard Lamestream.
I’m not sure how good that is, but it’s out there.

Old media is accurate, it doesn’t make an explicit political point which most of the suggestions do. I like it, it leaves a subtle impression, rather than state run media, which I also like, which is a bit more heavy handed.
If you’re talking to a liberal, you can use “old media” without necessarily being antagonistic. You really can’t use “state run media” without being antagonistic.
I’m not a big fan of cute sounding made up words or acronyms.

I don't remember which freeper came up with it, but I always liked the term
enemedia
for two reasons:
- The cheerlead for our enemies, both foreign and domestic.
- They are full of crap and could use a giant enema to clean them out.
