I tried to start a type of music that was a fusion of Country and Rap - I called it Crap. It didn’t catch on, though.

Actually the first rap singers may have been square dance callers. And we often chant in a rhythm that can be used for polka. Polka is in 4/4 time as is much of our music (1, 2, 3, and, 1, 2, 3, and...)

It was a polka Ponzi scheme
He called the polka rap;
‘Cause no one ever bought his rhymes
His finances went flat;
A jailbird, he served up his time;
Probation now he gat;
His victims hope that from the bum
The money will come back!

While I like to see criminals get locked up it’s kind of hard to have sympathy for people who were dumb enough to think there would be big returns on polka related products. I mean how many “Sven and Oly” joke books can one sell?
