"One of the most powerful figures in the Anglican Church believes that Africa is under attack from Islam and that Muslims are mass-producing children to take over communities on the continent.
Archbishop Nicholas Okoh, 56, was elected Primate of Nigeria last week and his elevation could exacerbate tensions at a time when Anglicans are working to build bridges with Muslims. Dr Michael Nazir-Ali resigned as Bishop of Rochester earlier this year to work in countries where Islam is the majority religion.
Nigeria is split almost half and half between Christianity and Islam. There are about 17 million practising Anglicans in the country, but they face persecution in the north, while the two faiths vie with local religions for supremacy in the rest of the country.
Archbishop Okoh made his controversial comments about Islam in a sermon in Beckenham, Kent, in July. He said that there was a determined Islamic attack in African countries such as Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda. "

Are all children a gift from God or not?
The Archbishop “gets it.” Building bridges with islam only makes their invasion easier.

He's right. Nigeria, too.
However, whether there's an intentional push to dominate Africa demographically can't really be proved. It's not the fault of Group B (Moslems) if Group A (just about everyone else) decides not to have children.
Maybe God is rewarding the wombs of the true believers to see whether Christians or Muslims honor him the most. The meek shall inherit the earth after all.
You can’t honor Him without worshiping his Son. Merely revering Him is rejecting him.
Aren’t they trying to do the same thing in Europe so they can take it over as well. Just thinking.
But if my memory is correct, Christanity is growing by leaps and bounds in the global south countries, including in Africa. The Roman Catholic is growing bigtime in Africa and that also included vocations.
I don’t totally agree — how about Jews? Don’t you think that God looks kinder towards those who respect Him than those who don’t? Also, Muslims do revere Jesus as a prophet - which is more than many Christians seem to do.
Yes, you do have a very good point. Respect and revering Him is not the same as worshiping Him.
I guess it’s a matter of choice. Since the liberal whites don’t want children because they think they don’t fit in with their lifestyles, I guess we will be populated with people who do want children. It’s as simple as that.
But the title Son Of God comes FIRST before the title prophet.
Always thought they where a homoerotic cult. Who knew!
It is THE core belief of Christianity that Jesus is God. And that NO ONE deserves eternal life with the Father. NO ONE comes to the Father except through the Son. No exceptions.
Again, to merely revere Jesus is to reject him, and eternal life.
Accept this or not, this is what Christians believe.
Yep, John 14:6 says so.
That is why the Gospel of John is the greatest Gospel.
Some time ago on C-SPAN I saw footage from some bridge-building conference between Christians and Muslims. Contained all of the usual platitudes, etc. Only 3 speakers were willing to break with the format and really go after Muslims in a pointed way. They were a Catholic priest from Kenya, an Evangelical Christian from Nigeria, and a Coptic Christian who had been the victim of brutal oppression in Egypt. Those on the front lines obviously know how this is going down.
Yep, they see what is really going on.
Also Penn State professor Philip Jenkins has been covering in great detail the growth of Christianity in the global south. He has written a number of books.
