WASHINGTON, DC - House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) says the country is in the midst of a "political rebellion" because his Democratic colleagues are "bankrupting America."
The Ohio lawmaker told the Values Voter Summit in Washington Saturday that the Democratic agenda over the past several months has been "nothing short of breathtaking." He noted that Democrats promised "jobs, jobs, jobs" with their 1,100-page stimulus, but instead America got "spending, spending, spending."
Boehner said he is focused on taking the gavel away from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi -- and during the debate over the" stimulus" package, some House Democrats accused him of being disrespectful for dropping the massive bill on the floor. The minority countered, saying "What's disrespectful is wasting $800 billion and expecting our kids and grandkids to pay the bills."
The congressman also railed against the cap-and-trade bill that passed the House, noting it would, among other things, impose a $1,750 energy tax on Americans and require "Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to have 'green mortgages.'" On healthcare, he pointed out that H.R. 3200 would create 51 new agencies, boards, commissions, and mandates.
Boehner also attempted to dispel claims that there is no taxpayer funding of abortion in the legislation, stating that "If you look at the bill in the House, it allows for taxpayer-funded abortions."
The House minority leader concluded noting that, given their stimulus and energy tax bills and their promotion of a government-run healthcare bill, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) and other Democratic leaders should not be surprised that so many Americans are showing up at TEA (Taxed Enough Already) parties and town hall meetings.

Unfortunately, the liberal pansies that are supposed to be representing the states and districts that sent them to DC have no moral compass.
The Republican agenda summed up in five words: “Give us our power back.”
“Congressman say America in political rebellion...”
Yeah. The electorate is going to fix everything, in 2010, by voting for more Democrats to fix everything.
Yup.

IMHO
The stimulus bill (written by the Apollo group) was the first shot fired by the administration on their own people. It seems the only enemy the administration can find are of the domestic variety.
We might give them an opportunity to serve in the majority again, and be perfectly willing to take it away til they get it. It may take several cycles for those that serve us to get it.
When the people find out Obama tried to delay the Afganistan report for 6 weeks while he tries to ram socialized medicine through there will be hell to pay. I do not think the public will accept our troops getting killed for Obamacare.
While I applaud his efforts to stuff a rag in Pelosi’s mouth, I urge him to flog Republicans incessantly. THEY, and the enemy media that enables the DemonRATs, are responsible for the DemonRATs being in power in the first place. We don't need any more doddering fools like McCain reaching across the aisle to enable socialism. We are facing the end of our freedoms at the hands of communists that are hell bent on buying themselves a permanent voting block. Health Care must be defeated, Crap and Trade must never see the light of day, and Amnesty must never even reach the floor.
Obama is on 24 / 7 campaign tours to destroy us, we must be pushing back twice as hard.
Or:
“Please, could you give us just one more chance?”
And what do the Republicans plan on doing with it? Eliminate political correctness and thought control legislation? School choice? 50% less social programs? Liberty for the tax slaves? Freedom for banks, insurance, auto, health, and all private industry again? Are they actually going to work for us this time, or will it still be about the Washington politicians and their own lives of power and luxury?
What will the Republicans do to free us, the people, this time? We've had just about enough big government. Time for a real "change " in Washington. No more oppression. No more lies.
LLS
Boehner appears to be slowly awakening, where is his back-up. Where are the rest of the Republicans who should be making headlines daily fighting this battle for America.
He is, indeed, another weasely politician who stood idly by while the nation burned money.
We'll probably end up with a candidate like Newtie 'gorebal warming' Gingrich.
Let the two parties officially merge and let's jump on the bandwagon for a third party....it's either that or rebellion.
“.....We don’t need any more doddering fools like McCain reaching across the aisle to enable socialism.
We are facing the end of our freedoms at the hands of communists that are hell bent on buying themselves a permanent voting block.....”
BINGO & DOUBLE BINGO
Good work John. I’ll be sending him another note of support. He’s been speaking for us. The goal of getting the gavel out of Pelosi’s crooked hands is job 1. Getting Obozo from behind the teleprompter is next.
We should all brace ourselves for the RACISM charge to be thrown at us for opposing anything Obama...
When RACISM is charged, I suggest the following:
Rule 5: Ridicule is mans most potent weapon. Its hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.
The ‘hell to pay’ should also be directed at the media for being complicit in this corruption.
