With the decision by International Olympic Committee coming up on October 2nd to award the 2016 Summer Olympics to a host city, the Obama administration is pouring on the charm to bring the games to the president's current hometown, Chicago.
Obama appointed his political confidante and White House official Valerie Jarrett to head up his administration's efforts to aid Chicago's bid.
In an interview with Around the Rings as reported by the Chicago Tribune, Jarrett has promised 'Chicago could deliver games on time, on budget and free of corruption. She said in the interview that she was "very confident" that would happen because the right checks and balances would be in place.'
Chicago's reputation as one of the most corrupt governments in the world still stands after decades of Democrat rule mostly under the Daley machine.
Word today is that Barack Obama may join his wife Michelle in Copenhagen when she travels there on September 30 to lobby the IOC. This evening, the AP reported Barack and Michelle pow-wowed with Jarrett at her Georgetown home.
Earlier this week, Jarrett said of Michelle Obama's upcoming presentation in Copenhagen, "There won't be a dry eye in the room," and "I’m sure that it will touch the hearts of each of the IOC members."
It could not be confirmed at press time if Michelle Obama would be performing songs from Annie or Porgy and Bess.

You understand, of course, if the International Olympic Committee does not pick Chicago, they’re racists.
It’s pretty bad when a US administration has to go out of its way to not be corrupt.
Not only that, but City, County, and State tax collectors are going to be going through our couches looking for loose change to pay for it.
I'm sure he promises a corruption free Chicago Olympics too......

I beg to differ. At the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Chicago, the honor of opening the games on behalf of the United States will go to President Sarah Palin!
