WASHINGTON -- A government-watchdog group filed a formal complaint yesterday with the House Ethics Committee to investigate the puzzling array of questions surrounding Rep. Charlie Rangel's ownership of a Harlem brownstone.
In addition to his failure to report proceeds from the 2004 sale of 74 W. 132nd St., Rangel also failed to report rental income, The Post reported last month.
"To the degree Rep. Rangel underreported rental income year after year on his financial-disclosure statements from his investment property, serious questions arise as to whether he also failed to report such income on his city, state and federal income-tax returns," Ken Boehm, chairman of the National Legal and Policy Center, wrote to the Ethics Committee.
The committee already is investigating Rangel.
Among the problems with Rangel's disclosure forms is that in 2002 he reported that the property was valued at as much as $500,000 but now claims it was worth only as much as $100,000.

Well it’s about D*** time!!!
NANCY; Madame NANCY P....WHERE ASE YOU. Get up off the couch, stop watching CNN and read the news here in Cyberspace. Aren´t you suppose to have the most ethical Congress in history...let´s have some growling, and snarling, becareful, as someone in Plains, Ga...will say this is about race...be careful now Nancy.
Racists!
There needs to be more than one group of people filing a formal complaint against Rangel. This guy needs to be filed up his you know what until his head begins to visibly spin!
This must all be a big mistake because Pelosi drained the swamp a few years ago. /sarc
Remember that Tom Daschle had that sweetheart sale of the ocean front property/home and did not pay the proper taxes nor list it on his disclosure forms. He never paid the taxes and was never properly investigated nor punished for the non-disclosure.
If you are a Dim you can do anything, up to and including murder, without repercussions.
I though Harlem and D.C. were tax-free zones. /sarc
Where is CREW? Has there been a peep from this liberal Democrat “hit” squad on Rangel or ACORN?
Good for them. There has always been a bit of sleaze around Rangel.
corrupt democrat, but then I am repeating myself ping
CREW Cut: Rangel on "Most Corrupt" List, Again (Tax-cheat Charlie ignores calls to step down)
Thank goodness, it was a cinch that congress wasn’t going to do anything about it but gosh, the needed to censure Rep. Joe Wilson because he pointed out the truth when he said, “You lie”.
racists!
Won’t nothing happen until after the healthcare rationing bill, cap and tax everyone who breathes bill and illegal alien amensty bills are forced down our throats???
Citizens once again doing the job of the Republican Party?
It sure is.
I wonder if he has revised that yet.
At least it wasn’t Judicial Watch.
Now, maybe there’s a chance this clown will have justice.
Amen.....Juducual Watch would be and IS a DISASTER.
