Al Qaeda tells Germany to change government
Khaleej Times Online ^ | September 18, 2009 | AFP

NICOSIA - Al Qaeda warned Germans on Friday to change their government in the September 27 election, saying they will face a ‘bad awakening’ if they do not, according to two intelligence monitoring services. Germany was also told to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan or face attacks at home, the US-based monitoring groups said.

In video footage a man identified as Abu Talha the German, and speaking in German, asks his Muslim ‘brethren’ to ‘stay away from anything not vital for two weeks after the election,’ according to IntelCenter.

Abu Talha, whose real name is said to be Bekkay Harrach, also asks Muslim youths in Germany to let Al Qaeda act first if the jihad were to begin in Germany, and says they will be told if action is required afterwards.

He also said ‘the city of Kiel will remain safe.’

The authenticity of the nearly 26-minute video, also released by the SITE Intelligence Group, cannot be independently verified.

Abu Talha first appeared in a video entitled ‘Germany’s Rescue Plan’ from Al Qaeda’s media arm, As-Sahab, on January 17.

He later dictated an audio message that was released on February 26 and was entitled ‘Islam and the Financial Crisis.’

Conservative German Chancellor Angela Merkel appears to be on track for re-election, although an opinion poll published on Friday showed her lead to be shrinking.

“When, besides waging war, has Germany become “madmen when riled”?

That is my point. If a series of major, al-Qaeda-style attacks hit their homeland and Germans begin to sense their backs are to the wall, they’ll come out swinging. Like I said... al-Qaeda doesn’t want this fight.

‘the city of Kiel will remain safe.’

Well, if this is a real threat then I'd take that statement to mean Kiel is "safe" for the terrorists and no one else. Here's some info on Kiel:

Kiel is an important sea transport hub, due to its location at the Kiel Fjord and the busiest artificial waterway in the world, Kiel Canal. A number of passenger ferries to Sweden, Norway and other countries operate from here. Moreover, today Kiel harbour is an important port of call for cruise ships touring the Baltic Sea.

Were.

I have my doubts in this day and age. You have to have some spine to get "Backed" against a wall. This last decade has shown Germany to be pretty soft. The only aggressive trait they have demonstrated on the national stage or at the UN is passive appeasement.

These guys were friends with the “mussies” as you call them. Arafats Uncle (or one of his reletives) had a commission in the SS.

I hate to disagree, but most young Germans are a bunch of pacifist pantywaists. This ain’t your daddy’s Germany anymore. If you don’t believe, rewind those Obama lovefest videos from a year ago. The Germans are soft, and self hating.

Not only that, but they have a significant Turkish population that will serve as a Fifth Column.

Change govnerment and/or public policy, or else suffer injury. This is what defines terrorism.

The only effective response is to do exactly the opposite, with vigor. Otherwise, you aid and abet terrorism.

The bad news here is that Europe is history. It’s the price they’ll pay for DIVERSITY and PC.

The WORSE news is that, unless we reverse our cranial-anal inversion, SO ARE WE!!!

Many, yes. There is still a small percentage of men who have testosterone running through their veins. Mostly in the rural, smaller towns--more blue collar, youngish types.

Six million Jews can testify to that.

You have to hand it to the Mohammedans. Anyone crazy enough to attack Germans is definitely someone to pay attention to. And exterminate at the soonest opportunity.

Been in Germany a few times - most recently during the fall when the muzzies were acting up in BeNeLux and France, burning cars, raping and looting, etc...

The Germans have suffered a number of indignities, and provocations from the “Wogs” these past several years - if the Al Qaeda tentacles are foolish enough to carry out a threat on any level above lone actors pulling guns in public...it’s “on like Donkey Kong” as the kids say...

German citizens may be a bit placid these days, but their cops - altogether another story. I’d prefer not to see another attack, but if AQ is so foolish and full of hubris, let them piss off the Huns with a Conservative government in power.

I was in Super Walmart (of all places) in Germany one afternoon and I watched as a guy like the one I described above stare down a Muslim family. It was extremely uncomfortable to witness with my pre 9-11 mindset.

One day my kids were playing with a couple of Turkish kids at the park. My German neighbors saw this and warned me not to let my kids play with them.

Then when we moved, they asked me not to show the house to any Muslim families.

Again, these were not big city elites. Just regular Joe Germans. The type whose silence has been bought with six week vacations, generous unemployment vacations and kindergeld.

Like the vermin he is, Obama, IIRC attached himself to a huge rock concert crowd, pre-gig. It was the Obama pre-show. Wonder if they offered free beer?

Thus, instead of adoring masses who showed up just for him, he was just there and a free show.

“Watch out, the Germans are really good at following orders.”
They’re also madmen when riled. Even the young ones. Al-qaeda doesn’t want this fight.

My thought too; I'm an American member of a German-dominated committee and I see how they think. Germany may look pacifist today, but if Al-Qaeda picks a fight with Germany A-Q has NO idea what will be coming down their throat in short order -- and I can assure you it won't be pretty for A-Q.

The Germans will do what Obama does not have either the courage or inclination to do.
