An Internet list includes names of businesses, government buildings and university structures around Pittsburgh that protesters apparently plan to illegally target during the G-20 summit, Team 4 investigator Jim Parsons reported.
Many of the 100 sites are in the East Liberty, Shadyside, Oakland and Lawrenceville neighborhoods, away from the site of the global economic summit, which will be held Sept. 24-25 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center downtown.

Give ‘em an “Imp & an Irn”...that’ll get ‘em fired up.
(Inside joke for ‘Da Burgh)
Imp & an Iron amigo
And pulleeeze - this newer one is an eyesore, in my humble opinion. It totally clashes with the architecture of the surrounding Pittsburgh buildings. Looks like a bunny ski slope.
No, I am with you completely. After seeing and smelling these pieces of crap, a bath of mace wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Looks more like a meeting of government leaders not, a group of finance ministers and central bank governors from 20 economies:
'Muscle for Money'(ACO'R'N) tryouts?
Folks, a weekend pingy for the mess that is coming our way next week.
Sneakers, da ya think pinging the Q/R list is appropriate? Not all are local...but they might be interested.
Hey there Jaxter, thanks for posting this. There are a couple of Burgh Ping lists floating around, but maybe we should consider a ‘G20’ list (for locals to post on, and share what is happening where we are at—n’at—it could also give FReepers elsewhere a heads up on what we see happening—as opposed to what is reported).
Martin has a ‘Burgh List (I think...and if I am wrong—please forgive me!).
My ‘mom’ senses are quite fearful of this...like from Wednesday on.
Lmk your thoughts...
This week in the Burgh we are thinking globally and acting locally.
ReneeLynn...I KNOW people who are going to either miss two day’s pay or will have to take vacation or sick time to cover these days. My daughter will be able to work from her laptop, at home; my oldest son HAS to shut down the small business he runs (in Greentree) due to Parkway shutdowns and security issues. He won’t get paid. If places of business get damaged, and can’t open up for days (or weeks) then what do those people do?
The worst part, and what scares the he## out of me, is the topography of downtown, and the Convention Center area. It is so ‘compact’ why did anyone think something like ‘this’ was a good idea in a small (meaning area wise) town like Pittsburgh?
Well, well, well...
I know that if I owned a business on that list, or in that area, I’d consider closing during the course of the event, and occupy my place of business with a 12 gauge, a sidearm, plenty of ammo, food, and water and wait for the useless commie thugs to break in so that I could cap a few dozen of them.
They probably ought to study similar events in cities like Seattle. That said, maybe they need a Steelers-Browns exhibition game that week. Browns and Steelers fans may hate each other but they hate anarchists and commies even more.
Wow...what a fight that would be. Drunken fans against hardcore lefty goons. I ,however , will take the goons anytime.
Meanwhile, I will be home loading magazines and listening to the police scanner.
It's a 'Burgh

You've not been to a Browns/Steelers game? The action in the stands is more violent than that on the field. :-)

Wise decision!
The key word is “Drunken”. The leftys will be stone cold sober{ At least from booze anyways} while the Fans will, well, drunk.
It would be a interesting matchup. The cops would just stand aside and arrest the winners and what remains of the losers.Either way, a rare “win-win” For Pittsburgh. As long as the police dont have the Pirates help with the mop up.
Well, I found out last night two friends of mine are going to be protesting. They are middle-aged hippy types. I said to be careful of the outside agitators. One went off about the “pigs.” Delusional they are. The woman who went off about “pigs” said they are protesting the disparity between rich and poor... I hope the madness doesn’t interfere with my commute home.
That would make for a great "man on the street" interview segment!
"Excuse me sir, but since you're protesting the G-20 meeting, I was wondering - Can you name the countries that make up the G-20?"
You bet! Here ya go PaMom!
G-20 Summit Ping to the Q&R list! This should get interesting!
