Americans who slap $1 pricetags on their used possessions at garage sales or bazaar events risk being slapped with fines of up to $15 million, thanks to a new government campaign.

That just ain’t gonna fly in Dania Beach!
Not really, but it’s always fun to work up the populace.
Well, of course, it COULD happen. You always have the chance of running afoul of some regulation when you sell old stuff.
ROTFLMAO.....maybe we can get them to go after the idiots who stop in the middle of the road to eye up all that good stuff sitting in someone’s driveway...now that’s change I can believe in!
Where are the fines of up to $15 million for the Chinese selling the defected goods in the FIRST place???
Is Michelle going to run around hitting all the garage sales in America?
Interesting that it comes at a time when people are actually going to yard sales etc in these hard economic times. Sounds to me like oppression. Forcing people to shop in stores, not yard sales!
Can’t you just picture black helicopters swooping in over local garage sales? LOL
I won’t be happy until breathing is regulated. Do you realize that every single accident in this country has happened - and will continue to happen - while the victim is breathing? NOT ONE accident EVER happened to a non-breathing victim.
Think about it - if even one child’s life is saved, can you honestly be so depraved as to not care about doing whatever it takes to stop this continuing, completely unnecessary danger? C’mon people, it’s the 21st century - this is long overdue.
I will be selling garage stuff and will accept gold bullion, silver certificates and pre 1964 dimes!
One time it took me over twenty minutes to find the car in there.
Men repelling down onto card tables set up with Granny’s old china and those shotglasses friends bring back from their vacations, kids in handcuffs for selling old Hotwheels cars....I’d love to see that....
“UP AGAINST THE WALL....SPREAD ‘EM....”
“but officer...what have I done”
“Shut your mouth maggot....we have you on tape selling contraband toys.....”
Colorado tried that a few years ago and it failed.
They found out that the cost of enforcement outweighed the collection about $100 for every $1 collected.
This is great.
Can’t wait til they piss off the remaining undecideds and level-headed Democrats (yep, there are a few) by taxing the hell out of the internets....
How do
democrats keep pissing off every group of people and still get elected?
A.C.O.R.N......but, they could have problems in the future!
Exactly! Got to keep that revenue coming in. The People in this country USED to have this thing called private contract.
You know- you own something and decide to sell it to another individual, so you did.
Now, government has decided to tell us when, where or IF we have a right to buy and sell, and they're working on telling us how much we get to charge.
-----
After all, if you have to pay taxes on something when you buy it, isn't forcing someone to pay taxes on it again when they buy it from you really just double taxation?
Didn't we have a war over that once upon a time?
This should show you how crazy this government is. Most of all how much they want money and how much they devalue life.
I want pickles to be outlawed, extensive research reveals that nearly every single American who ate a pickle before the year 1900 is now dead. This cannot be allowed to continue.
