Congressman Jerrold Nadler, D-NY, denounced a Republican amendment adopted by the House of Representatives Thursday to deny all federal funds to the advocacy group the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) as blatantly unconstitutional and a threat to unpopular organizations everywhere.
Nadler said the Republican initiative, the Defund ACORN Act, introduced by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-CA, singles out a specific organization by name for exclusion from participating in any federal program, in direct violation of the Constitutions prohibition against Bills of Attainder. The amendment was attached to a student loan bill.

Nadler has eaten far more Constitutions than he’s read.
Porkulus ! Fat Bastard probably eats children for lunch.
Even Chuckie voted to defund the perps.
FReep mail me if you want on/off the list.
Since when does de-funding an organization amount to a bill of attainder? Nadler has his fat head up his fat @$$....
How many of these lefties didnt have any constitutional qualms about cutting off funding to our troops?
Damn near everything Washington does is unconstitutional. Denying funds ranks right up there with supplying them in the first place.
Non-profits like ACORN are not supposed to engage in criminal activity or encourage criminal activity which is ACRON’s stock and trade.
A bill of attainder (also known as an act or writ of attainder) is an act of the legislature declaring a person or group of persons guilty of some crime and punishing them without benefit of a trial.
Deciding that someone you WERE giving money to is no longer going to get money is NOT declaring them guilty of a crime.
So while Nadler the Hutt DID cite a particular section of the Constitution, his opinion is worth what does come out of his ample rear.
Dear Mr. Nadler,
Why in the name of GOD do people who look like you and Henry Waxman always try to get in front of a camera? Has no one ever TOLD you?
They should be arrested and removed from government.
Note to fat @ss Nadler... sorry your supply of underage, illegal alien, prostitutes paid for with taxpayer funds has dried up... try an excercise program instead... tub of lard...
So their is a constitutional right to federal money? Where is mine? I am a net negative when it comes to money and the federal government.
All this time I thought our rights were free speech, free religion, right to bear arms, and freedom from unlawful search, seizure and imprisonment. Dumb ol’ me, huh?
Consider what the people who keep sending these things to Congress must be like!
This man does not know what a bill of attainder is. The congress can cut off funds to any organization that it wishes. What is unconstituional is when they do things like they did with AIG bonses. I’m sure Mr. Nadler had no problem voting for that bill.
Well in all fairness, we should not single out ACORN, so to make all things equal, THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY SPECIAL GROUPS getting our tax money!!!!
That settles that!
What the heck happened?
exactly
... so sayeth a giant fat slimy piece of glob ......
Jabba the Dim in Congress.
