"There is a conservative ascendancy happening out there -- that's what's happening on the streets of America -- and it's not a Republican ascendancy.
Again, it's a conservative ascendancy, and to have it defined as something else is going to inflict great harm."
"We've been through this before with the national hemorrhoid, Jimmy Carter.
And you know what the answer to a weakened America was?
Two words: Ronaldus Magnus."
"All right, so Pelosi is choking up here, but we all know that's fake because you can't cry when you've got Botox all over your face."
"Obama is ACORN, and ACORN is Obama.
And even if they shut down these ACORN offices, they'll just open up again as PEANUT or ALMOND."
"So Obama makes this announcement about cancelling missile shields to Poland and the Czech Republic
70 years to the day of the Soviet invasion of Poland. This is not an accident. This man is making a statement."
"The president is not only weakening our economy, he's now weakening our foreign policy, weakening our military,
weakening out national defense -- and it's all being done on purpose."
"Everything Jimmy Carter did to destroy the US economy is now being done by Barack Obama.
And, folks, I don't like patting myself on the back, but I did predict that this administration was going to be Jimmy Carter on steroids."
"Folks, you have to be more discerning. As inept and as elitist and as blue-blood country club as the Republican Party is,
they are not fascists, they are not socialists, and they do not look down their nose at the private sector and try to destroy it."
"A fish doesn't know it's wet, and that's a perfect description for some of the clueless, brain-dead activity we have today disguised as journalism."
"The fact of the matter is, Robert Gibbs can sit up there all day long and say,
'The president does not believe criticism comes based on the color of his skin,'
but until Obama says that and puts a stop to all of this, it's going to continue."
"Hell, Obama was an ACORN trainer back in the nineties.
I'm not saying Obama trained ACORN in how to legalize prostitution and all that -- don't misunderstand -- but he trained them in chaos."
"So for the first time in our nation's history, the president of the United States is siding with Marxist communist leaders --
Hugo Chavez, Daniel Ortega, Raul Castro, and Evo Morales -- in condemning our democratic, freedom-fighting ally of Honduras.
Do not doubt me. This man has a chip on his shoulder about this country."
"The best way to describe Robert Gibbs here is, 'Wandering in vain for a desperate thought.'"

Continually repeat ...
It's not about me.
I'm the President.

RUSH: Let's return here to the subject of race. There's two things going on. Well, there's multiple things going on. Let me focus on three. The first thing is this is page one of the Democrat Party playbook and they're replaying it and they are doing this because they're losing on everything. They're losing at everything. This is a tantamount admission that they're in disarray and they're flummoxed as to what to do next. What they're really trying to say is the whole conservative movement is racist, that conservatism equals racism. This is their point. They could go out, and they do routinely, they can trash black, brown, yellow conservatives day and night, they're never accused of racism. We question a president who is black, we're racists, automatically. It was never said by the liberal media that attacks on Clarence Thomas were racist, or that attacks on Michael Steele were racist or that attacks on Miguel Estrada or Gonzales or Condoleezza Rice, and on and on and on, were racist. This is all manufactured. It's intended to intimidate and distract. I believe it's coming right out of Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod's office, and I think it's a tactic that's on page one of the playbook.
And the press goes right along here, the New York Times today: "As Race Debate Grows, Obama Steers Clear Of It." BS. He's behind it. He's promoting it. He is permitting it. He is allowing it. He likes it. It's chaos. It's distracting. This is exactly what he wants. It's the same modus operandi since he's been in politics. Obama has his hacks go out and do the dirty work while he pretends to be above it. Just the way Obama's hacks went after that Republican Senate nominee in Illinois, try to take him out of the race while Obama played dumb and tried to stay above the fray and had nothing to do with it. I saw this: "As Race Debate Grows, Obama Steers Clear Of It." Yeah, what did he do, he woke up and said, "Look, honey, look, Michelle, there's a race debate going out there." This stuff preceded Carter. Obama did nothing about it. He declined to answer questions on it. No, no, no. He is promoting this, just as he is ACORN, just as he is Van Jones, he is racism, he is behind this. It's his administration. You cannot get away with the president of the United States staying above the fray, steering clear of it when the whole operation is orchestrated from his White House. Let's go to the audio sound bites and listen to the daily stenographer pool, which is the State-Controlled Media. It's a montage, yesterday, last night, and this morning, State-Run Media attacking me on race.
MARTIN: Rush Limbaugh, when he says in Obama's America white kids get beaten up by black kids
LEGEND: Rush Limbaugh says Obama's nation is one where black kids can beat up white kids on the bus.
SCHULTZ: Rush Limbaugh was saying this is Obama's America, black kids beating up white kids on a bus.
COOPER: Rush Limbaugh saying it is Mr. Obama playing the race card.
MITCHELL: Obama's America, white kids getting beat up on school buses now.
CAFFERTY: Rush Limbaugh. He talks about how race rules all in what he calls Obama's America.
GERGEN: I don't think we ought to let Rush Limbaugh's comments drive a conversation like this.
CHETRY: Then you have Rush Limbaugh and some of the other conservatives saying that it's whites who are being persecuted.
SNOW: Rush Limbaugh was talking about this violent beating on a school bus.
RUSH: You know, now, that last voice was Kate Snow, and she actually called the office yesterday. She called H.R., and H.R., chief of staff, said, "You're missing the point. This was cynicism. This was sarcasm." And what it was really about, what they've all left off of this -- and I don't think they even know, I think they get whatever news sources, Media Matters, the slime pit, or maybe the Huffington Puffington Post, whatever it is. But remember, folks, what drove all this yesterday, this was hilarious, was Newsweek, Newsweek magazine saying that we're born racist. We're born racist. Oh, white children are born racist, not all, not we, white kids are born racist. And by six months, I mean they're able to distinguish black from white and yellow and brown and they know to hate everybody. And parents are at a stand still, don't know what to do about it. It's a Newsweek story! Newsweek earlier this summer said we're all socialists, now they say all white kids, all white babies are racists, I'm playing off of that. Okay, it's Obama's America, he is the president, and it's all racism, everything is now on race. So they're purposely getting this wrong, but it's funny to watch because it's so predictable. Now, here's Kate Snow who says even if I was doing a send-up, even if I was being sarcastic, it's still racist.
SNOW: Rush Limbaugh was talking about this violent beating on a school bus. What his producers call a send-up of Obama's post-racial America.
RUSH ARCHIVE: Obama's America, white kids getting beat up on school buses now. With the black kids cheering, yay, right on, right on, right on, right on and of course everybody said the white kid deserved it, he was born a racist, he's white.
SNOW: Limbaugh's assistants say his audience understands he was being sarcastic, but even conservatives are saying that kind of talk is dangerous. Conservative columnist Rod Dreher says, "Lacking any leadership, the right is turning to media stars. To be fair, any real racism is coming from a minority on the right."
RUSH ARCHIVE: Any criticism of an African-American president's policies or statements or misstatements is racist and that's it.
SNOW: It's all a debate the White House would rather avoid.
RUSH: Kate, Kate, no, the White House is behind it! The White House is pushing this. But what does she know? She's just a stenographer. H.R., how much time did you spend on the phone with Kate Snow yesterday? Ten to 12 minutes. Her report here was 44 seconds. You spent ten to 12 minutes, and he sent me a summary of the phone call, as he is under orders to always do. So I know what he told her. He gave her every bit of context possible and she still, "Well, maybe so, but it's still racist," just totally leaving out the whole Newsweek aspect of this. The whole send-up yesterday was mockery of the media, was mockery of Newsweek. And of course saying it's Obama's America, let's just say this, my friends, nobody is better than I, El Rushbo, at tweaking these schlubs. Like I say, I know these people. Why do they find Obama's America objectionable? Do you need me to answer that? Why does the media find it objectionable to say Obama's America? Because it happens to be true. And remember, the image was that none of this was gonna happen; all this was supposed to be over; all this was supposed to have seen its last day.
There was to be comity, there was to be a joint holding of hands and singing kumbaya. We were all going to be in love with one another and at one with one another, in a figurative sense. Of course, in a new utopia. And no partisanship and no arguments and no bickering and no racism and no sexism and no bigotry and no homophobia. And it's worse than ever. It's all broken down because it's the design of this administration to create this kind of chaos. I'll tell you, for the rest of you in the State-Controlled Media let me give you the daily tweak. Let's just do this. You know, we ought to come up with a feature: the daily State-Controlled Media tweak. Guaranteed to be used incorrectly no matter how often and laboriously we spend time explaining it to them. This charge of racism is being shouted out to give Obama cover for being a failure. This is a seminal point, folks. In fact, this is a profundity. The whole point here, or one of the big points, he is a massive failure. The libs are even writing this on the Huffing and Puffington Post. Jon Stewart is starting to make fun of ACORN now and the media for ignoring it and not covering it.
Obama is clearly failing which to us is good but to the left it's a panic sign. So remember, now, he's The One. He can't fail. It can't be him. Oh-ho-ho-ho, no, it can't be his ideas, it can't be his agenda, it can't be his action. No, no, no. It has to be racism. The only reason Obama's not succeeding, the only reason is racism. That's right, folks, the only reason, that's the message, it's cover. They're in trouble. When they play this card and they get the national hemorrhoid out there doubling down two days in a row on this theory, they know they're in deep doo-doo. And at the end of the day, this is to just give Obama cover for not getting any of his promises done. Well, he tried, he really tried but, you know, still a racist country, half the country, conservatism is just racist. That's what's going on here and I'm just having more fun laughing at these inept fools who are so predictable. Well, okay, that's the daily tweak. We'll see how it gets picked up and reported. You know what they'll do? It's racism, that's all you'll hear. It's racism. Conservatism is racism. They'll play that as though I am admitting that conservative is racism. That's what they'll do, mark my words.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: You know, I realize I might be confusing the State-Controlled Media, because I said that it was Orwellian what they're doing here -- and they may not know what "Orwellian" means, sort of like a fish doesn't know it's wet. Have you ever thought about that? A fish can't possibly know it's wet because it doesn't know what dry is until it's about to die, and then it says, "Whoa! Something's not right here." No, I'm full of these kinds of things. "A fish doesn't know it's wet," and that's I mean a perfect description for some of the clueless, brain-dead activity we've got disguised as journalism. All right. Obama, "staying above the racial fray." Obama "steering clear of the racial fray." This morning in Maryland, University of Maryland, a health care speech.
OBAMA: I said last week at a speech of the joint session, "If you misrepresent what's in our plan we'll call y'out! We will call y'out!"
FOLLOWERS: (cheering)
OBAMA: I never said change would be easy. Change is hard. It's always been hard. Civil rights was hard.
RUSH: Oh! Ho-ho-ho! Whoa, whoa, whoa, just a second. Ho-ho-ho. Uh, sorry. Whoa, whoa, whoas. Civil rights was about race, right? Just compared to health care plan to racism. I really do apologize for the ho-ho-ho. It's one of those things you can't say anymore. (clearing throat)

RUSH: The national hemorrhoid has doubled down. After the White House went through the motions of making it look like they're throwing him under the bus, the national hemorrhoid goes out there, makes a speech in Atlanta, and doubles down on the racism, the fact that racism is behind all the criticism of President Obama.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Sugar City, Idaho, Josh, you're up first. It's great to have you with us.
CALLER: It's good to talk to you again, Rush.
RUSH: Thank you.
CALLER: My comment was, you know, it actually sickens me and infuriates me to no end, was how Congress and the Democrats wanted to get Sotomayor into office as fast as possible. But when you get a white congressman to stand up and say one comment that says "you lie," they automatically deem him as a racist, even though his comment had nothing to do with ethnicity or religion or sex, but Sotomayor can come out and blatantly say, I can make better decisions as a Latina female than a white male.
RUSH: Exactly right. You got it nailed. As I mentioned earlier, this is an ongoing effort, three things going on. They're panicked, they're throwing the race card, they are in the midst of confusion and disarray here. Obama did this during the campaign. During the primaries they set it up: if he loses it's because this country is racist. And then in the general election: if he loses, it's been this country is racist. It's all these people know. Now, when they go after Clarence Thomas it's not racism, when they go off Condoleezza Rice it's not racism. What they're trying to do is convince everybody that conservatism is racism. You know, this stuff is close to backfiring on these people. Now you got the White House leading a movement to claim that half the country's racist and the real bottom line here is this is cover for Obama's failure. If he doesn't get anywhere near what he promised, if he doesn't get anywhere near what he wants, "it wasn't his ideas, it wasn't his personality, it wasn't his actions, it wasn't his agenda, 'cause he's Mr. Perfect, no. This country's racist." That's what they're trying to set up. It's laughable. It's also embarrassing.
These are some of the most closed-minded bigots. Oh, there's a fourth thing going on here too and that's projection. These people are the racists. It is the media, it is the Democrat Party, it's the American left that looks at people and sees the differences. They are the ones that see gender, sex, skin color, try to guess religions and so forth. They are the ones. They are projecting who they really are on to us, and they do this in many, many areas. Not just race. They do it on bigotry, sexism, homophobic, all of this stuff. They're the ones that group people. They're the ones that look at people with condescension and arrogance. They're the ones that look down on average, ordinary Americans with contempt. You know, we're like Ronald Reagan, rising tide lifts all boats. We're in a great country. We don't care who's involved in making it great. They're all Americans as far as we're concerned. Anybody here legally? Get involved. This administration is tearing that apart. This administration is making sure that there is no prosperity. You know when Obama launches an attack on profit, which he does very frequently, he's really attacking prosperity. In his joint, I said something about health care insurance being burdened with overhead and profits. Profits are what come after the overhead. Profits are what's left after you have the overhead.
When you hear Obama attack profits, I want you to substitute a word. Use the word prosperity. Profits lead to prosperity and that's under attack. Now, it's undignified and there's a story here in the Washington Post carrying the water: "Race Issue Deflected, Now as in Campaign." It's by Anne Kornblut and Krissah Thompson. "A debate over the role of race in the current criticism of President Obama is forcing the White House to confront a volatile issue it would rather avoid." So the New York Times, Washington Post, "Oh, boy, Obama is trying to steer clear this." Wrong-o! He's behind it. It's coming from the White House. It's coming from Axelrod. It's coming from Rahm Emanuel. These are the guys that give dictation to the State-Controlled Media. Race issue defected. If that's true, if the race issue is deflected, well, was it abandoned, or deflected? That's a key difference here. Deflected is one thing. Still out there, still flying around, they just deflected. Abandoned? That's what they're trying to tell us. If it was working, the White House would be piling on. Trust me on this.
If this Jimmy Carter, National Hemorrhoid doubling down, if this were working, you'd be seeing the White House, you'd see Gibbs, somebody up there would be piling on this thing. "We agree the criticism of our great president is in fact racist." If it were working, they'd be saying that. Since it's not working that's why they want to deflect all this. But it's one of their command operations, coming right out of their command and control center, the office of Rahm the ballerina Emanuel. "On Wednesday, Gibbs said the White House has not asked members of the black caucus to stop ascribing a racist motive to Obama critics." Oh, they've not asked the black caucus to stop the smears? Well, we have a montage, and of course this is Gibbs being peppered with questions on Carter and race, and I ask you as you listen to this, who is it that's obsessed with this subject?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE REPORTER: Jimmy Carter saying that he believes an overwhelming majority of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward the president is because he's black.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE REPORTER: Are you saying the president is not concerned about the climate of hate in this country today?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE REPORTER: Would the president regard statements from such a prominent American, former president, son of the south, as he described himself, helpful?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE REPORTER: Because he's black.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE REPORTER: Why is he or why are you so reluctant to talk about it? He gave this big speech during the campaign on race.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE REPORTER: Why is this not a teachable moment in terms of the role that race is playing in society?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE REPORTER: There is now a conversation that's risen to the level of the former president about race.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE REPORTER: Has the White House instructed any Democrats, either in the House of Representatives or elsewhere, to stop talking about race?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE REPORTER: The former president is raising this. Is it at this point incumbent upon the president to say, "You know what, no, I don't agree with him."?
RUSH: So they're trying to do two things here, the State-Controlled Media. But really as I listen to this montage, they really want Obama to come out and join the fray. Is it time for a teachable moment? Is it time for Obama to stand up and say, "Yes, half this country is racist, and we're going to deal with it. That's part of my campaign promise, and we're going to deal with it." That's what they want. They want Obama to come out and confirm their reporting. And then there's some lone voices in there, "Wait a minute, wait a minute. Shouldn't the president stand up and shut this down?" Which is what he ought to do, if he had any dignity, if he had any real concern for ending strife and division in this country. He'd stand up and say, "Stop this, stop acting like children." He'd direct his comments at the media and other people leveling this accusation. Here's Jimmy Carter, the National Hemorrhoid, doubling down last night.
CARTER: When a radical fringe element of demonstrators and others begin to attack the president of the United States of America as an animal or as a reincarnation of Adolf Hitler, or when they wave signs in the air that said we should have buried Obama with Kennedy, those kind of things are beyond the bounds of the way president --
RUSH: Wait. That's not what the sign says. It says bury health care with Kennedy. Resume tape.
CARTER: -- have ever been accepted, even with people who disagree. And I think people that are guilty of that kind of personal attack against Obama have been influenced to a major degree by a belief that he should not be president because he happens to be African-American. It's a racist attitude.
RUSH: Now, the next sound bite, we don't have time for it right now, but it's Gibbs and the White House apparently throwing Carter under the bus. But, if they wanted Carter to stop talking about this, they could get him to stop talking about it. Just call him up, "Jimmy Earl, not helpful right now. Hold and keep your powder dry, please drop this." But they are not doing that. They want Carter to continue out there saying this stuff, which is great for us, I mean he's the biggest failure in American presidencies in our lifetime, failure in foreign policy and domestically and Obama is following right in his footsteps.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Here. Audio sound bite number five. This is "Gibbsy," the White House press secretary, pretending to throw Jimmy Carter under the bus. It's Jack Tapper asking the question: "Is former President Carter saying that he believes an overwhelming majority of the [inaudible] demonstrated animosity toward the president 'cause he's black?"
GIBBS: Well eh, eh, eh, let's stick with former President Carter said. Eh, eh, eh, eh, uhh, the answer, uh, that I'm going to give is the same answer that I gave on Sunday when I was asked this question. Uh, the president does not believe that criticism comes based on the color of his skin. We understand that people have disagreements with some of the decisions that we've had made and some of the extraordinary actions that had to be undertaken by this administration and previous administrations, uh, to stabilize our financial system; to ensure viability of our domestic auto industry.
RUSH: BS, BS, BS. He lost his train of thought there. The way to describe Gibbs here is "wandering in vain for a desperate thought." The fact of the matter is, Gibbs can sit up there all day long and say, "Ah, the president does not believe criticism comes based on the color of his skin." Until Obama says that and puts a stop to all of this, it's going to continue. Nobody is going to believe what Gibbs says about this, because the president hasn't said it -- and the reason the president hasn't said it is because the president hasn't asked the black caucus to shut up; and he certainly has his two hacks, Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel, running this whole operation out of the White House.

RUSH: Now, what was the biggest lie since he mentioned the joint session speech? What was the biggest lie Obama told during his speech to the joint session? It's kind of tough to pick one out, isn't it? (laughing) Yeah, there is one, though. (interruption) No, no. No, no, no. No, none of that, not the abortion, not the illegal immigration. Those are all lies, but the biggest lie told by our president was that he had a health care plan.
If he had a health care plan, then what is this Baucus bill? This Baucus bill comes out of nowhere yesterday. Obama gave his speech talking about "his" plan a week ago. Why are we even discussing the Baucus bill? What the hell is this? Obama said he had a plan. We were told by the president of the United States during a speech to a joint session of Congress, that he had a health care plan, and he had a bill -- a magical health care bill, by the way! A bill that would guarantee health coverage for everybody except illegals (ahem) and it would reduce costs, that it would improve coverage, and it wouldn't add a cent to the deficit and nobody would have to pay any more than they're paying now. So what is this Baucus plan?
What the hell is that? Where in the hell did that come from if Obama has a plan? Now, was the president lying? If not, where's the plan? I want to see it! I want to see it today or the president should apologize to the American people for lying to us and the Congress. Because, folks, the joke's over. The president had a plan, and yet this idiot Baucus comes out and announces his yesterday. Now, if President Obama's got a plan, what's Baucus doing? Shouldn't Baucus have shut up because there already is a plan? Look, here's what Obama said in his speech: "The plan I'm announcing tonight would be flee basic goals." He goes on and on detailing "his" plan. Yet we haven't seen it. All we've got is this Baucus debacle! So forget the Baucus plan. We're told the president has a plan. We just want to see it. Until we do, that's the biggest lie he told before a joint session.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: So it's the top-of-the-hour break, and I'm in there in Snerdley's office, and he's got all three TV monitors on. He watches C-SPAN, Fox, and PMSNBC. And over on PMSNBC, somebody is sitting in today for Andrea Mitchell (NBC News, Washington) who's not there. I think it was Savannah Guthrie. And she's talking to The Hack, a White House health care hack, Linda Douglass, formerly of state-controlled ABC. And they put up a quote from Howard Dean about the Baucus bill. Do you know what Howard Dean said about the Baucus bill? He said this is the worst piece of legislation he has seen in Washington in 30 years, and I busted a gut laughing! The worst piece of legislation? He said this was written bit insurance lobbyists, that the Baucus bill is nothing but a giveaway to the insurance companies. I'm thinking, "Circular firing squad," and then I stumble across this story by Ceci Connolly in the Washington Post today.
"On the surface, it appears that no one is happy with Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) -- and that may be the best news President Obama has had in months." Now, follow... (laughing) Follow the logic here from State-Controlled Washington Post. "Within minutes of the release of [Baucus]'s long-awaited health-care reform bill Wednesday, the attacks started flying. Liberal Democrats and allies, particularly labor unions, fumed. Republicans, after being courted for months, denounced the work as pure partisanship. But behind the rhetorical fireworks was a sense that the fragile coalition of major industry leaders and interest groups central to refashioning the nation's $2.5 trillion health-care system remains intact. As they scoured the 223-page document, many of the most influential players found elements to dislike, but not necessarily reasons to kill the effort. Most enticing was the prospect of 30 million new customers.
"At the White House, after the delays and drama of summer, strategists spoke finally of movement and a possible path toward success ... Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.), who is upset that Baucus did not include a public health insurance option, tempered his criticism after a private meeting with Obama, signaling that he hopes to work out a compromise. ... At the heart of the administration's strategy -- and Wednesday's guarded optimism -- is a collection of deals intended to neutralize the interest groups that helped defeat President Bill Clinton's health-care overhaul 15 years ago." So the Washington Post has a story: This is exactly what Obama needed: Something that everybody hates! Something that everybody hates, but the coalitions Obama needs in the private sector to go along with it are happy. Now, did Howard Dean kill it when he comes out and says, "This is the worst piece of legislation I've seen in 30 years" or did Howard Dean give it a boost? According to the Washington Post, the more you say you hate the Baucus bill, the better it is for Obama.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: I mentioned what I watched on MSNBC at the top of the hour here. Here's the question that Savannah Guthrie asked the health care info hack at the White House, Linda Douglass. Question: "We just heard the president talking about the Baucus bill. Howard Dean, a Democrat, says about this bill, 'The Baucus bill is the worst piece of health care legislation I've seen in 30 years. In fact, it's a $60 billion giveaway to the health insurance industry every year. It was written by health care lobbyists, so that's not a surprise. It is an outrage,'" and so the infobabe, the anchorette asks the hack, Linda Douglass: "Is this a good bill?"
DOUGLASS: Look, there are many things in this bill that share common features with what the president has laid out and what is in the -- four of the five other bills that have passed through committees. As you just heard the president say, there's 80% agreement. Obviously many, many common features. Now the five bills will have to all come together. We'll be pulling together features of each of these bills, and, uhh, they are very, very, you know, uhhh, similar in many ways, and the legislation will be built upon these principles that they share.
RUSH: Again, I ask: Why is this even necessary? The question to Linda Douglass ought to be: Why the Baucus bill? What's the Baucus bill? The president just went before a joint. He just did a joint last Wednesday night, and he told us what's in his plan. He spelled it out what's in his plan, so what's this Baucus bill stuff? That's the real question.

RUSH: President Barack Obama is fulfilling something I knew was going to happen. Part of his view that this country is unjust and immoral, he has abandoned Poland and has abandoned the Czech Republic. On September 17th, 2009, the president of the United States made this announcement.
OBAMA: We will continue to work cooperatively with our close friends and allies, the Czech Republic and Poland who had agreed to host elements of the previous program. I've spoken to the prime ministers of both the Czech Republic and Poland about this decision and reaffirmed our deep and close ties. Together we are committed to a broad range of cooperative efforts to strengthen our collective defense and we are bound by the solemn commitment of NATO's Article 5 that an attack on one is an attack on all.
RUSH: That's absolute BS. He's canceling the missile shield in Europe to protect these emerging democracies from Russia. He got in bed with Putin; he got in bed with the KGB; got in bed with Medvedev, which is essentially getting in bed with Iran because that shield was also going to be some sort of protection for anything launched out of Iran. And he makes this announcement to Poland and the Czech Republic 70 years to the day of the Soviet invasion of Poland. This is not an accident, it is not a coincidence. This man is making a statement about what he thinks of past US foreign policy and imperialism. From the UK Times online: "Dismay in Europe as Obama Ditches Missile Defense." Fledgling democracies in eastern and central Europe have now been sacrificed to appease the Russians. A lot of people feared this was going to happen after Obama went over to Moscow, had a meeting with Putin and had a meeting with Medvedev, that this would be the result of it.
So let's take some things in order. The president, not only is he weakening our economy, not only is the president attacking the US economy, he is now weakening our foreign policy, he is weakening our military, he is weakening national defense. And it's all being done on purpose. Obama turned 9/11 into a day of serving the state. He's about to go wobbly on Afghanistan, too. The generals over there said we need more troops, but in Washington, Pelosi and John Kerry, who served in Vietnam, said, "No more troops, no more troops." And so, Obama is about to go wobbly there. He will not rush his decision on his commander's call for more troops to win there. He has surrendered missile defense to Putin now. He's moving toward large cuts in defense spending, and just as dangerous, while all this is going on, Barack Obama is bankrupting the United States. He is severely weakening our economy. We're not going to be able to afford to defend ourselves even if we wanted to before this guy gets through. The dollar rapidly declining in value, as is America's military might.
You know, I started the year by saying I hope Obama fails. I'm actually wondering, I'm asking myself, is it maybe that Obama wants America to fail so that he can rebuild it and remake it? Is it not eerie? Yesterday, the national hemorrhoid, Jimmy Carter, emerges from whatever orifice he holes up in and all of us have a massive itch looking for the giant tube of Prep H to deal with it. He doubles down today, or in a speech last night saying I'm not backing down, I'm going to say it even louder. Here is a man, by any objective estimate, the worst president of this or last century. His presidency is being paralleled, it's being recycled. Everything Jimmy Carter did to our national security setup, everything he did to the military is being done by Barack Obama. Everything Carter did to destroy the US economy is being done by Barack Obama.
Folks, I don't like talking about myself on this program a lot, and I don't like patting myself on the back, but I did often predict that this administration is going to be Jimmy Carter on steroids. Now, if he's scrapping missile defense in eastern Europe, and it doesn't leave them very many options, I mean he gets on the phone, (doing Obama impression) "You guys, don't worry, if one of us is attacked, we all get attacked. NATO Article 5, don't worry about it, you guys, we got it handled." They're not feeling comfortable about this. (interruption) What? Obama's got a newer, smarter missile defense? A newer, smarter system of defense? What, like not defending anything? Oh, gonna use boats, going to launch missiles from boats. He's going to launch defensive missiles from boats to protect Eastern Europe. What body of water are these boats going to be floating on? Well, if it's smarter, it's too smart for me to understand. Anyway, if they can't have our missile shield, maybe they might consider adopting our Second Amendment and build some bunkers. Maybe Obama could give them some grants, bucks for bunkers, bucks for buckshot. It's the least we could do for our former allies, ladies and gentlemen.

RUSH: By the way, folks, it's not just Poland that we have turned our backs on. It is Honduras, along with the Czech Republic. Greta last night on Fox News had a big segment on this. I think it was last night. Next week, the Obama administration will allow Ahmadinejad, Castro, Hugo Chavez, Khadafy, and several other international dictators into New York City to speak in front of the UN General Assembly. Now, you're saying, "Wait a minute, Rush! Obama can't not let those people in. They're going to the UN, diplomatic immunity." Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah. One country's president will not be allowed into the United States. President Roberto Micheletti from Honduras will not be allowed to enter the United States of America. His visa was revoked by the Obama administration in August. He is the legal president of Honduras. He was installed not in a coup; he was the legal president.
So for the first time in our nation's history, a president of the United States is siding with Marxist communist leaders -- Hugo Chavez, Daniel Ortega, Raul Castro, Eva Morales -- in condemning our democratic freedom-fighting ally of Honduras. Do not doubt me. This man has a chip on his shoulder about this country. It was unjust and it was immoral until he became president, and now he's going to reverse all of what he considers to be unjust and immoral and illegitimate about this country. Starting with our economy, and redistributing as much wealth as he can, and next tearing down our defense establishment and our foreign policy posture. Because to a man like this and his allies and cronies, we're nothing but a bunch of imperialists.
"We are 5% of the world's population but we steal 25% of the world's resources. We are causing poverty all over the world! We ally with people who blow up other people. We are just horrible. Our nation is horrible and rotten, and nothing redeeming about it, and that's why he runs around apologizing for it," and that's why he's pulling us back. It was a story we had yesterday. In fact, it was in the Morning Update today The International Institute for Strategic Studies has issued a report that celebrates what they consider a weakened United States. "Clearly," says the report, "the US share of 'global power,' however measured, is in decline." Now, this place is in London, and they say also that "domestically, Obama may have campaigned on the theme 'yes we can;' internationally he may increasingly have to argue, 'no we can't,'" and they praise Obama for recognizing there's only so much America can do "to impose its views on others."
Well, the traditional view of America was one of freedom and liberty, neither of which can be "imposed," unless you're a dictator or a terrorist leader -- and then, of course, freedom for your people is considered an imposition. America's difficulties in Iraq and Afghanistan have supposedly "exposed" the limits of our military power. The financial meltdown has sapped our economic base. In addition, we've lost our traction in dealing with Iran and the Middle East -- and all these lefty think tanks are applauding this. They're happy. It's about time we were cut down to size! A "weakened America" is an improvement because in their view and Obama's America has not been the solution to the world's problems. America is the problem.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: I want to finish this little riff here on the European think tanks being all giddy and happy with Obama weakening America. We're no longer the power player that we were. There's this guy named Robin Niblett, and he's head of Chatham House, which is another London think tank, and he says that (paraphrasing) "the rise of power of China, the reemergence of the Soviets and the European Union," which is laughable, "has made it difficult for America to influence others. Besides, America's long been seen as the problem. Climate change, financial crisis, Middle East policy." Robin Niblett says Obama's administration is far more Frank about US interdependence with the rest of the world and that's a good thing. They love the fact that Obama is tearing this country apart, they love it, they love a weakened America, they love the whole process of America is being seen as the problem here.
Now, Mr. Niblett and the rest of you European leftist socialists, maybe a weakened America sounds good to you, and maybe it sounds good to Obama and his cronies, but it does not sit well with non-liberal Americans. We've been through this before, the national hemorrhoid, Jimmy Carter. And you know what the answer to a weakened America was? Two words: Ronaldus Magnus. So don't start celebrating yet, Mr. Niblett, we are not done, not by a long shot. And furthermore, Mr. Niblett, who is going to protect your little lily-livered white butt when somebody has you in the crosshairs? Who's always done it? You guys over there haven't the ability to defend yourselves. We have to clean up every mess you people start, and now we're not going to be able to. We're not going to have the means, we're not going to have the wherewithal and we're not going to have the policy. So the next time you're in somebody's crosshairs, the next time Russia wants to cut off natural gas supplies to your area of the woods, you gotta deal with it on your own until we get rid of this administration and replace it with one that will rebuild America as a superpower, which is for the good of everyone on the planet.

PELOSI: This balance between freedom and safety is one that we have to carefully balance. I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw this myself in the late seventies in San Francisco, this kind of rhetoric was very frightening and it created a climate in which we -- violence took place. I wish we would all, again, curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made, sort of understanding that some of the people -- the ears that it is falling on are not as balanced as the person making the statement might assume. I also think that they have to take responsibility for any incitement that they may cause.
RUSH: All right, so she chokes up in there, we know that's fake because you can't cry when you've got Botox all over your face. Nancy Pelosi, tears of a clown. She is actually setting it up for some people to have to take responsibility for any incitement they may cause. She started all of this. She started it, and then Obama doubled down on it. The violence? Ms. Pelosi, talk about violence? How about the black kid beat up in St. Louis by union thugs at a town hall meeting for one of the Carnahan progeny? What was his name, Russ? Yeah. IQ of a pencil eraser there. Anyway, she's talking about Harvey Milk and Dan White and George Moscone. That's the violence she saw in San Francisco. The Twinkie defense, Dan White went nuts and killed Harvey Milk, a gay activist. Well, you probably didn't see the movie starring Sean "Let's go, Hugo" Penn. But I mean this is beyond the pale. She's stoking it even now.
She calls half the country Nazis and then Obama doubles down on it and says everybody showing up at these town halls is an unruly mob. They're showing up with swastikas, she said. Ditz can't even pronounce that word right. So she's warning of violence over heated rhetoric and chokes up. This is your Democrat Party. You want to tell me that this is just about Washington? That Washington in general's gotta go? Maybe it does. But I'm telling you, folks, we are at the triage stage right now where our country is concerned, and that means you deal with what you can deal with and you leave aside what you can't save. And right now, the biggest threat that we face is not Washington per se. It's who's running it.

RUSH: Here's Maxine Waters, this was yesterday. She was on the fledgling Bill Press radio show, and Press said, "Do you agree with President Carter that all the criticism our great president is rooted in racism?"
WATERS: What I've been interested in is hearing from those people that everybody is referring to, the people on the mall, in the rally, what's on their minds. I'm looking for the very people who carried the signs. I want those people talked to. I want them interviewed. I want journalists to be all over those rallies and those marches of the birthers and the tea baggers.
RUSH: I actually think this is a great idea. I think it's absolutely a great idea. She went on to say if you put the microphones in front of them, if you do the interviews they'll tell you what they believe, what they think. It's a great idea, Maxine. Let conservatives tell the State-Controlled Media what they think, and why. Actually go out and cover the rally, don't just rely on a C-SPAN camera. Actually go out there and cover the rallies and talk to these people, find out what it is they're doing there and why they're doing there. And then everybody will be shocked when they hear no explanation that contains racism. Actually got a little worried there when I actually agreed with what Maxine Waters is saying here, although for different reasons. Speaking of Maxine Waters, this is from Los Angeles Times. "'House ethics panel investigates Rep. Maxine Waters.' -- The Los Angeles congresswoman faces scrutiny over her husband's ties to a bank that received federal bailout funds. Word of the investigation came as the committee announced that it was delaying an inquiry into whether Rep. Jesse L. Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) or his representatives tried to secure the Senate seat vacated by President Obama by promising to raise campaign cash for disgraced former Illinois Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich. The panel cited an ongoing federal investigation in Chicago."
So Maxine sent some stimulus money to her husband in a bank and the House ethics panel is investigating. How racist is this? Targeting Jesse Jackson Jr, now targeting Maxine Waters, it's just gotta be racist. I mean who in Washington doesn't use stimulus money to send to their spouse? Dianne Feinstein did it. Didn't look at her. She's Jewish and she's white. Of course they're not going to investigate her, but they're investigating the black babe, Maxine Waters? Has to be racism. You know, I met Maxine Waters once. Yes, I did. It was Super Bowl Sunday, 1995 I believe, it was in Atlanta and it was the game between the Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills. It was actually the night before. I think it was the commissioner's party. I'm trolling around there and I'm saying hello to some people that I knew and I got this tap on the back and I turned around, it's Maxine Waters and her husband Sidney who got the bank cash from stimulus money. And Maxine looks at me and says, "You know, I'm not a socialist, I believe in free markets." She started telling me about the businesses that she and her husband own and all this sort of stuff. (laughing) At the Super Bowl this happens to me? I don't remember the exact conversation, but she made a big point out of saying she wasn't socialist, she believed in profit and all that, and obviously her husband does, too. Profit, from your tax dollars. Maxine Waters.
Sidney used to play for either the Oakland Raiders or the Steelers. I'm not sure. His name is not Waters. I don't remember Sidney's last name, Maxine Waters' husband. But, yeah, something in my mind says he did have a rogue auto dealership somewhere in Jamaica or in the Bahamas or some such thing that got attention for some reason, obviously it was racist, the attention focused on it. "Waters was in the spotlight earlier this year because Massachusetts-based OneUnited Bank received $12 million in bailout funds, three months after the congresswoman, a senior member of the congressional committee that oversees banking, helped arrange a meeting between officials of the bank and other minority-owned financial institutions and Treasury Department representatives."
And don't forget wasn't there some other stimulus package some years ago, I forget what it was, maybe the Mexican bailout or something. What was it? Oh, that's right! It was the floods in North Dakota, we had federal bailout money for the floods in North Dakota, and Maxine Waters went to the floor of the House and said, well, hell, if you're going to bail them out, I want money for my constituents in South Central. What it turned out to be, grooming money, 300 bucks a person, right, that she was able to pass out, 300 bucks. You want to talk corruption -- but -- sorry, it's not corruption. To point out any of this to Maxine Waters is racist. I'm sorry.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Yeah, Maxine Waters' husband, Sidney Williams, was a linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also played on the Cleveland Browns championship team in 1964. Also, after he left football he started as a business developer with ex-Cleveland Brown star Jim Brown's Black Economic Union in LA. And now Sidney Williams owns a Mercedes dealership, and obviously has an interest in a bank that his wife sent stimulus money to. He was also ambassador to the Bahamas under Clinton.

| LA Times: House Ethics Panel Investigates Rep. Maxine Waters NewsBusters: Rep. Maxine Waters Wants Journalists to Interview 'Teabaggers' |
OBAMA 1995: I really want to emphasize the word "responsibility." Whether you are a white executive living out in the suburbs who doesn't want to pay taxes to inner city children for them to go to school -- I worked as a community organizer in Chicago. Uh, I was very active in low-income neighborhoods working on issues of crime and education and employment -- and seeing that in some ways certain portions of the African-American community are doing as bad, if not worse, and recognizing that my fate remained tied up with their fates, that my individual salvation is not going to come about without a collective salvation for the country, that recognition requires that we make sacrifices, and this country has not always been willing to make the sacrifices necessary to bring about a new day and a new age.
RUSH: Translation: Obama believes that white Americans should be made to pay extra taxes for the wrongs done to blacks throughout the history of this country. Only through "collective salvation" can all of us be saved. He's talking reparations here. It's like he said the other day. I forget what speech he was making to whatever group of people. I think it was the AFL-CIO in Cincinnati. "We can't all succeed unless we all succeed. We all have to succeed for any one of us to succeed." That's patently not true, and it's patently not even possible. The only way that could be made to happen is if everybody's success is mediocrity. Here's the next portion of Obama in 1995.
OBAMA 1995: There's a certain race weariness that confronts the country precisely because the questions are so deeply embedded and the solutions are gonna require so much investment of time, energy, and money. [snip] And the truth of the matter is is that many of the problems that Africa faces, whether it's poverty, uh, or political suppression, uh, or ethnic conflict, uh, is just as prominent there and can't all be blamed on, uh, the effects of colonialism. What it can be blamed on is some of the common factors that affect Bosnia or, uh, Los Angeles or, uh, all kinds of places on this earth, and that is the tendency for one group to try to suppress another group in the interests of power or greed or, uh, resources or what have you.
RUSH: Bosnia, where there was ethnic cleansing or LA, there's no difference. This is president of the United States. This is who he is. We knew this. We played all this during the campaign. Nobody in the State-Controlled Media would dare get anywhere near it. Nobody with a brain believes he sat in Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years and didn't hear anything of what the preacher said. Nobody believes that Bill Ayers was just a friend down the street, that Obama didn't even know he tried to blow up Pentagon. We don't believe that. So this is... (sigh) When I tell you he arrives at the Oval Office with a chip on his shoulder, that he's gotta make this country right -- it's been immoral and unjust; it's treated people unfair and been wrong and he's going to fix it -- this is what we're witnessing here, folks. So I have no doubt that this policy, this strategy of calling half of America racist simply for disagreeing with The Messiah is coming right outta his White House.

RUSH: To Lindell, North Carolina. This is B.J. Hey, B.J.
CALLER: Hi, Rush. How are you?
RUSH: Fine, thank you. How are you doing?
CALLER: You're doing a great job.
RUSH: I know. Thank you.
CALLER: You probably don't -- (laughing)
RUSH: (laughing)
CALLER: I've read the entire H.R. 3200, and the one thing that I never hear anything about is several sections in there. One, the first one that appears shortly after, it talks about retirees. And when you go back and look and do a search on the terminology used and so forth, the retirees are UAW. It happens to be unions. And they're setting aside a $10 billion trust fund for these folks. You go further down into the bill, towards the end, so to speak, and you're going to find grant money out the yinyang for community organization groups like ACORN, the unions. You will also find that when the commissioner selects different individuals to be on the committees to make decisions, to set the rules, the guidelines, and so forth, you're going to find labor unions are deeply involved in that process. What's wrong with this? I mean nobody mentions it and it's one of the biggest things in that bill.
RUSH: Well, with all due respect, I don't like correcting callers. Callers are the salt of the earth. I wouldn't have talk radio without callers. But a lot of people are talking about how all these health care bills are just one giant wad of friendship, shall we say, to the unions. That's why the UAW bailout. The unions are part of that aggrieved portion of America that has been shafted for years by rich elitist individuals and corporations and CEOs and Wall Street people. I'm telling you, it's time to return the nation's wealth to its, quote, unquote, rightful owners. That's how you have to understand, it's the simplest way to understand what Obama is doing. This health care bill, of course, is nothing but pure redistribution and one of the arguments that has to be made about the unions, B.J, and I'm not trying to steal your thunder here, is that the portion of the H.R. 3200 bill that you read, the reason the unions support it is precisely because so much of their health care funds now are teetering on insolvency, and this bill is going to make 'em whole, and going to get 'em in the public option.
That's the whole objective here is to get everybody on the public option.

So a total on Saturday of probably four miles on the treadmill, and I had college football on whiling away the tedium and the boredom. On Sunday, prior to the start of the NFL games, I went over and did the same thing: Another two miles, top speed four miles per hour, incline got it up to two-and-a-half or three, whatever it was, heartbeat 130 minutes. And resumed the regimen today, another... Ditto. I mean, same routine: 35 minutes, about two miles; top speed, four miles an hour -- and I'm going to do it again when I get home. I have a meeting after work. I'll do it before having dinner when I get home tonight. I announced this to the staff mere moments ago, and Snerdley thinks that I have just betrayed one of my core principles. (laughing) No. It's not a joke. It's not. In fact, I gotta tell you: I was watching Fox & Friends this morning while I was on the treadmill.
I got up at 7:15 and I was over there at 7:20, and I got finished at eight o'clock. I'm watching Fox & Friends, and I've got the closed-captioning on because the treadmill makes a lot of noise. I can't hear it even if I turn it up loud. And they have got this interview with a postal union chief in Dallas. Now, apparently -- and allow me to get some of this wrong because I caught this in the middle of it. But it was Steve Doocy, who is hilarious, and Kilmeade. These guys are huge comedy routine, and they're talking to this union chief, this postal worker union chief. Apparently a lot of postal workers in Dallas are spending all day on what is called "standby time." They're just not doing anything, they're just "standing by." They're just there.
You know, while there are lines for people who want to buy stamps or whatever they do at the post office. And so Doocy and Kilmeade are asking -- this guy's name is Larry -- "What can we do about this, Larry? What?" (laughing) This guy Larry says, "We're doing everything we can here. My union is working hard on this standby time," and I'm just laughing myself silly. It was the fastest five minutes on the treadmill I've ever spent because Doocy and Kilmeade couldn't have cared less. It was a comedy routine, and this guy was taking the question very seriously: "What can we do about this, Larry?" (laughing) Fox News says, "What can we do about postal workers on standby time?" Just keep the guns out of their hands, for one thing. Ah! I take it back. Sorry. Just a lighthearted, jocular moment. Now, ladies and gentlemen, one more thing about the exercise regimen: I have not betrayed any belief.
This has nothing to do with my diet, zilch, zero, nada. It will not make me lose weight. In fact, what's happening is I'm getting hungrier after I do this -- and so to ward that off what I'm doing is chugging a little bit more fluid, a little bit more water. This treadmill has a calorie counter. You put your weight in there, and put your hands occasionally on the little handlebar in front of you and it gives you a heart rate. That's how... Oh, you know what that is. Ha, ha, ha. I'm sorry. You all know how they work. I'm sorry. I think I've discovered something new. Well, anyway, it says that I'm burning about 300 calories in this half hour. Now, I know full well that two deep breaths and I'll regain the 300 calories. I have not betrayed anything.
This has nothing to do with losing weight, nothing whatsoever to do with losing weight. It has to do with heart health. It has to do with overall physical health. It has nothing to do with losing weight. It's not part of the regimen. I have demonstrated and proven, I did zip, zero, nada exercise; I lost all that weight fairly rapidly. So I just wanted to come clean about this and admit it. Snerdley, as I say, thinks that I've committed a huge betrayal here to a core principle and a core principle. (interruption) No, Snerdley. The betrayal would be, you know, I've added to my weight loss regimen, exercise. That would be a betrayal. But I'm not doing it to lose weight because I know it isn't going to make me lose any weight. In fact, I could gain weight. If I ate like I used to and did this, I would gain weight. I understand this. This is not about that. It's going to be a tough day for people, I understand it. We have... (interruption) No missile shield, that's right. No missile shield. We have exposed ourselves and our buddies to the Soviets again. We are letting all the communist thug dictators into the UN but we're keeping the legitimate president of Honduras out. We're making nice with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Jimmy Carter has doubled down. The National Hemorrhoid has doubled down on racism as the primary reason for Obama being criticized, and now I come along and announce an exercise regimen. I can understand if America is profoundly confused today.

RUSH: I just got a funny e-mail from a friend of mine who is shocked and stunned at the announcement that I have begun an exercise regimen. "Exercise Warning!" is the subject line in the e-mail. "Dear Rush: Be careful here, pal. It will increase your appetite for food and sex. Exercising in the gym oftentimes leads to exercising in bed. As you well know, exercising does not lead to weight loss. It leads to more bedroom time and if you're not careful, Rush Babies -- authentic Rush Babies. A friendly warning. Budget your time accordingly." By the way, folks, I have put a warning on the treadmill. I'm following suit. You may remember a monologue of two weeks ago or so when I had one of these stories that exercising had nothing to do with weight loss. I put a sign. There's a sign to the treadmill. I see it right there on the handlebars. "Warning: This machine could cause weight gain" Because it does. It enhances your appetite out there. It just does. So all kinds of helpful hints are coming in.

RUSH: This is a fabulous answer here from the syndicated columnist S. E. Cupp. You ever heard of S. E. Cupp? You don't know who S. E. Cupp is? As much show prep as you do, as glued to the news as you are, you don't know who S. E. Cupp is? Well, I am shocked. Well, look it up, Google it. But first listen to the answer. Larry King Alive last night, Larry King right out of the template, if there was a walking cliche, it's Larry King. And he says to the columnist S. E. Cupp, "Would you admit there's racism of the black president? Obviously racism involved?"
CUPP: No, I don't think so, and I think this speaks to sort of a generational gap. You know, my generation is not always so quick to jump to race. I think the Maureen Dowds and the Jimmy Carters tend to go there because that's what was always done, but my generation doesn't see racism in a Joe Wilson or racism at a tea party or a town hall. We're looking at the issues. These issues are too important to racialize them and project this imagined racism onto health care or any other political issue.
RUSH: Yeah, projection, they're projecting who they are on to everybody else. That's S. E. Cupp just handing it to Larry King. He needed a cup to have his guest be S. E. Cupp. I want to expand on this generational thing here because I have -- actually the thought came from the editrix from the Limbaugh Letter, Diana Schneider Allocco -- no, Allocco is the last name. People might think I was calling her a loco, that's the big guy's last name and like a traditional woman she took it when she got married. She said, "Rush, O great one, I've been reading the analysis --" well, she didn't put that in there. I just kind of threw it in. "Rush I've been reading the analysis of Obama's bad poll numbers among seasoned citizens and I've seen a lot of mention of retirees and seasoned citizens at town halls and tea parties as well as the big 9/12 march." You know, it occurs to me, this is kind of an upended version of the sixties. In the sixties, the radicalized Baby Boomers, then in their teens and twenties, protested the establishment, their parents, remember don't trust anybody over 30? The media was celebrating the whole generational split thing. Generation gap were the buzzwords of the day.
Guess what, the generational split has come home to roost. The old generation is now picketing the former "hell, no, we won't go" crowd that is running Washington. The oldsters are marching on Washington against their kids. And against people their kids' age. Obviously it's not a race thing at all. This is generational. It's actually what S. E. Cupp said. Did you Google S. E. Cupp? All right, now you know. So it's exactly what S. E. Cupp said here on Larry King Alive. My generation doesn't see racism. It's a generational thing here, not to mention the long-in-coming smack down by those of us Boomers who have had it up to here with our arrogant anti-American boomer peers. The Baby Boomers make up a lot of people. I'm a boomer, but I'm embarrassed by over half my generation, a bunch of putzes, a bunch of spoiled rotten malcontents, have too much time on their hands and everything is about me, me, me, me, me, and that too much time on their hands and that me, me, me, me, me is what gave us Center for the Science and Public Interest, and that's what gave us the animal rights movement, and that's what gave us all these other movements to deny people freedom and liberty because these people don't even have to go out and get jobs.
They can set up foundations, ask for donations, and make a nice living off everybody else, while pretending to do good works. And they infuriate me as much as they infuriate others who are older than they are. So it's a great point Diana Allocco makes -- did you catch that? -- of course it has nothing to do with race. It is generational. It has been upended because these tie-dyed blue jean longhaired, maggot-infested, dope-smoking Cretans from the sixties were blowing up bank buildings saying, "Hell, no, we won't go," they're now running Washington. They got their foot in the door with Clinton. Some of them are still there. Obama has sealed the deal. And now the very people they were protesting against are saying, "Screw you! We don't want what you are. We didn't like it when you were blowing up our banks back then, and we don't like it when you're destroying our country now, so to hell with you. Hell, no, we aren't going to go. You say, yes, we can. We say, no, you the hell won't." And that's what's going on out there. It's exactly what's going on. Now, that was S. E. Cupp. See what that inspired? Here's Gibbs yesterday at the White House, Jake Tapper says, "ACORN, a group the president's had some ties with over the years, Census Bureau has thrown 'em under the bus and the Senate overwhelmingly voted to cut off housing funding."
GIBBS: As it relates to ACORN, obviously the conduct that you see on those tapes is completely unacceptable. I think everyone would agree with that.
RUSH: (laughing) Right, Gibbs. Until we hear Obama throw 'em under the bus -- remember, Gibbs, we all have the tape of Obama going to meet ACORN and telling them they were going to be fundamentally involved in setting the agenda of his presidency. He told them that during the transition period. Now, Charlie Gibson, remember we had him on Don Wade and Roma, WLS, The Big 89 in Chicago. (doing Gibson impression) "I never heard of this ACORN story. I guess that's for the cablers. I never heard of it." Well, last night ABC's World News Tonight, Charles Gibson finally reported on the ACORN scandal because the New York Times did yesterday. I told you. Because the New York Times reported on it, Washington Post reported on it, so ABC is on the case.
GIBSON: We're going to turn to a political firestorm that is in Washington. For years Republicans in that city have been taking aim at an umbrella group of community organizers called ACORN. Opposition to the group intensified when ACORN helped President Obama in his election campaign. And now a videotape has surfaced which has prompted calls for investigations of ACORN's activities. Here's Jake Tapper.
RUSH: New videotape? How about four videotapes with more to come, Chuck? Let's go back. Tuesday morning, WLS, Chicago, The Big 89, Don Wade and Roma. They ask Charlie Gibson about ACORN, underage, illegal prostitutes being advised on how to get away with it.
GIBSON: (Laughing) I don't even know about it. So I -- you've got me at a loss. I don't know, uh, but, my goodness, if it's got everything including sleaziness in it, we should talk about it this morning.
ROMA: Well, I think that this is a huge issue because there's so much funding that goes into this organization, and it's a multi--
GIBSON: I know we've done some stories about ACORN before, but this one I don't know about.
ROMA: Jake Tapper did some blogging on it. I know he's at least blogged once on this scandal.
GIBSON: You guys are -- you guys are really up on the -- on the website.
RUSH: (laughing) And they don't even work at ABC anymore. ABC sold WLS, The Big 89. Now CNN's on the case, that's the next bite, Snerdley, CNN is on the case. This morning, American Morning, here's a portion of the correspondent Jessica Yellin's report on the ACORN scandal.
YELLIN: The two are conservative filmmakers. Giles is the daughter of Doug Giles, now an Internet sensation, she's appeared on Fox News. O'Keefe says he's a filmmaker dedicated to exposing corruption he believes the mainstream media ignores. Experts in investigative journalism say reporters are wise to be cautious about posing as fake characters and using hidden cameras to get a story.
RUSH: Hey, Jessica, you ever heard of 60 Minutes? (laughing) So, you got the ACORN story and CNN's on the case investigating the filmmakers and their questionable journalistic tactics. Now, did you catch this? Giles, this is the woman that played prostitute, "Giles is the daughter of Doug Giles." Yeah, who's that? You didn't know who S. E. Cupp was. I don't know who Doug Giles is. Google Doug Giles. Who the hell is Doug Giles? "The daughter of Doug Giles," is he some subversive conservative, is Doug Giles some well known racist provocateur? Are we all supposed to know? Does CNN think we all know who Doug Giles is? Is he related to Warren Giles and Bill Giles of Major League Baseball? Who is he? Tell me who it is. (interruption) What kind of radio? Creator of ClashRadio.com, but do we know that that's the father of the Giles woman in the ACORN videos? CNN thinks we all should know who Doug Giles is. I don't mean to insult Doug Giles. There are probably 1500 of them in America. That S. E. Cupp though, I'll tell you, I was going to say, Snerdley, I can't believe you don't know who S. E. Cupp is. S. E. Cupp, you heard her, I mean she's awful pretty sharp, both cups, in fact.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Okay. Here's who Doug Giles is -- and, by the way, that CNN reporter Jessica Yellin? She wasn't all that concerned, was she, about child prostitution be discussed and promoted? No, no! We gotta find out who these two journalists are!" Doug Giles is a conservative Christian columnist at TownHall.com. He has a town hall blog. Oddly enough, he endorsed Obama for president. Doug Giles, TownHall.com, conservative Christian columnist, "Endorses Obama" August 31st, 2008. There were no comments to this blog post. That's who Doug Giles is. No wonder CNN didn't know who he was! He was a great guy: He was a Republican who endorsed Obama. No offense to Mr. Giles, by the way. It's just a comment here on CNN's report. "Giles is the daughter of Doug Giles." Now, I originally thought, "This guy must be some kind of great guy if CNN wants to impugn him." So... If that's the Doug Giles. As I say, there are probably 1500 Doug Gileses out there in the country. All right, who's next on the phones? Sally in Fort Myers, Florida, it's nice to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.
CALLER: Hi, Rush.
RUSH: Yeah, by the way, stand by audio sound bite 27, Sally. Go ahead.
CALLER: You want me to go ahead.
RUSH: Yeah, I do.
CALLER: Okay. Yesterday after I heard Maxine Waters talking -- I think it was on your show when you had played the clip --
RUSH: That's right.
CALLER: -- I called Maxine Waters' Washington office and told the man that answered that I had heard Ms. Waters talking to Bill Press and that she said she wants to talk to us --
RUSH: Right.
CALLER: -- and hear what we have to say. So I said, "Here I am! You can ask me anything you'd like to," and he says to me, "Well, she wants for the media to interview you."
RUSH: That's what I was going to say. They want the State-Controlled Media to interview you at one of these racist rallies you're attending.
CALLER: Right, I got that. But I said, "Now, wait a minute, sir. She said, and I'm quoting, 'I am interested in hearing from those people. I want to hear what they are saying.' That's what she said, and I'm taking her at her word. Doesn't she say what she means?" And he said, "She is not interested in what you have to say," and I said, "Well, sir, this is not complex. Would you like to hear what I have to say so you can pass it along to her?" He said, "We don't care," and hung up on me -- and that's in a nutshell. They don't care. It
RUSH: What she wants... She doesn't really want to know what you think. She's got it in her head that you're a bunch of racists and if the media goes out in the heat of the moment when you're out there racially motivated and protesting and everything, that you're going to say things that embarrass you and expose the movement for what it is. She knows you're not going to do that when you call the office. That's why she wants the media out there in the heat of your passion exposing your sorted personalities.
CALLER: You know what I say?
RUSH: Yes?
CALLER: I say, "Bring it on!" Have them come talk. It's not complex. It's about our children and our grandchildren. It's, "Stop it! No more. No more taxes. No more spending. Clean up the mess that you've already created up there." I'm a grandmother of five, and my kids are out working to support their children. And that's what this is all about. What you said a while ago is really true: It's the generation here saying "Enough, enough, enough, enough, enough."
RUSH: Well, look, I don't want to throw cold water on you. I know that's what you're saying, but...but... (sigh) I'm going to say this again, because I'm still getting e-mails from people. In fact, somebody posted a column at World Net Daily today that was listening to me on Monday saying this thing in Washington on Saturday was aimed at both parties. I said, "No, no, no, no. This is left versus right. This is people mad at Obama and this is Obama's a tipping point. This stuff has been effervescing for years." Yeah, people are mad at Washington and Republicans, but the Republicans never did anything near bad enough to cause this kind of outpouring of sentiment. Now, the columnist says (paraphrased): "Rush is wrong. This is against everybody. It's against government. It's against Washington. It's against Republicans, Democrats," and so forth and so on.
Folks... (sigh) I know that you desperately want to believe that there's something virtuous. Oh, this woman also says that I'm running defense or defending somehow (and I'm paraphrasing what she said, I don't have it in front of me) the Republican Party. Nothing could be further from the truth. I made it plain on Monday I have nothing to do with the Republican Party. There is a conservative ascendancy happening out there. That's what's happening on the streets of America. It's not a Republican ascendancy. It's a conservative ascendancy. To have it defined as something else is going to inflict great harm. It's going to lead to some third-party movement which is guaranteed to elect Democrats for the rest of this country's existence. Now, let me... I know you're upset. You don't want any more taxes. You don't want any more spending.
Let me review for you what is happening. Do you understand they've taken over the mortgage market? Ninety percent of it. The federal government is in charge of determining who gets a mortgage -- and it's not just the federal government. It's the Obama branch of the federal government. It's the Obama administration. This is Obama's America. The Republican Party is not taking over Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. That was done by Chris Dodd, Bill Clinton, and Barney Frank "the Banking Queen." The House today just voted to take over in its entirety the student loan program as soon as next year. There will be no private lending for the student loan program in six months. Now, what this adds up to is that the federal government is in charge of who gets money. The Obama administration is literally taking over all control of access to money in this country.
They've got the banks under their spell. They are sitting on Wall Street. They've got their favorite players up there. Goldman Sachs and the rest have bull's-eyes painted on them. So if they can take over the student loan market, if they can take over the home loan market, and they own the car companies, pretty soon the Obama administration is going to sit there and be the determining factor into who gets money in the form of loans to grow a business or to send a kid to school. This is not the Republicans doing this, and this is not "what Washington's always done." This is the biggest power grab ever! This is radical leftism fascism that has gotten its hooks into this country, and if you want to sit out there and say that there's no difference in the two parties, you go ahead and delude yourselves.
And I say that not defending the Republican Party. I'm telling you what we face is an onslaught of radical leftism like we have never faced before. This is not "Washington as usual." This is Washington as usual on steroids being run by radical leftists who have had designs on this since the sixties, and even prior to that. You think it might matter whether you're Republican or Democrat when you want to get your kid a student loan? You think it might matter who they can find that you contributed to in elections campaigns? You think it might matter when it comes to health care when they take that over? You think it might matter whether your procedure gets approved or not, depending on where your political loyalties lie?
Now, don't tell me the Republicans are doing this kind of stuff. The Republicans' big sin is to sit back and say nothing while this is happening! The Republicans' big sin is sitting around and letting all of you people lead this way. There is no charismatic leader in charge of this. People are fed up. It's a generational thing. We went through that mere moments ago. It's fascinating to watch. There's no racism involved here. There's just deep patriotism, people finally at the boiling point. This has been effervescing for years. I understand totally the overwhelming disgust you have for Washington, and I understand the overwhelming desire you have to lump them together. But, folks, you gotta be more discerning. As inept and as elitist and as monitor blue-blood country club as the Republican Party is, they are not fascists. They are not socialists.
They do not look down their nose at the private sector and try to destroy it! I know they all want to get rich and I know they all want to get power and I know the Republicans wish the pro-lifers would go away because they embarrass them in the party. That's chump change compared to what's going on here! Mike, I'm going to grab a sound bite here. I went past it because I didn't think I would have any need for it but it's going to dovetail just fine with what I just said. Yes, sound bite number eight before we get to 23. I want to play for you the prevailing sentiment at elitist Washington, DC, cocktail parties attended by Republican moderates. This guy is a Republican. He's on MSNBC last night. He's Frank Schaeffer, former Republican and author of Crazy for God. And the hostette says, "It doesn't seem like facts are relevant in trying to move people away from their worried beliefs here."
SCHAEFFER: We have a village idiot in this country. It's called "fundamentalist Christianity," and until we move past these people -- and let me add, as a former lifelong Republican, until the Republican leadership has the guts to stand up and say, "It would be better not to have a Republican Party than have a party that caters to the village idiot," there's going to be no end in sight. There's a fundamentalist subculture which has become a cult. It's fed red meat by buffoons like Rush Limbaugh and other people who are just not terribly bright themselves and they are talking to even stupider people. That's where we're at.
RUSH: Now, this is your average, elitist, country club, New York, liberal Republican. Frank Schaeffer is his name. First time I've heard of him. I never heard of him. This is the first time I've heard his name or heard him speak. But the point is that this illustrates exactly -- maybe not as extreme as the way this guy put it, but I'm telling you -- at the upper levels, the upper echelon of the liberal, country club, blue-blood, Republican Party is that exact sentiment toward pro-lifers: Village idiots, embarrassing, wish you'd get out.
The Republican Party has got problems, do not misunderstand me. But nothing posed by the Republican Party is as threatening as what Obama is doing. You may not want to admit this. You may want to believe something else. I'm telling you, this is about ideology. We are a fascist, socialist, whatever-you-call-it takeover and remaking of the United States of America. I don't know the Republican yet who wants to tear up the Constitution and rewrite it. I don't know who that Republican is. I don't know the Republican that wants to take over the mortgage business. I don't know the Republican that wants to put the federal government in charge of every dollar the American people have access to.

“But I’m telling you, folks, we are at the triage stage right now where our country is concerned, and that means you deal with what you can deal with and you leave aside what you can’t save. And right now, the biggest threat that we face is not Washington per se. It’s who’s running it.”
