NC residents...your taxes will go up...and your kids will have less of an opprotunity for a college education

And, all those international students, who did everything legally, are going to be quite POed. The fact that illegals will be let in without the required visas, proof of health insurance, and out of state tuition waived...Intl’ students are going to be testy

Any form of Illegal Alien Amnesty is Anti-American Bigotry

"I do think today was a step in the right direction," said Nancy Gallman, an educator who was representing El Pueblo at the committee meeting.

"What this simply means is that more and more students are driven to go to college. I don't see that as a problem for this state. I see that as something we should be proud of."

What part of the word illegal is it Nancy that you can't grasp.

I wonder what their previous policy was. The CC my wife works at you have to prove your a legal US resident that meets their AZ residency requirements to get in state tuition, but anybody else can get in with out of state. They don’t really care where you’re from, you pay and you’re in, if you want to pay the cheap rate there’s got to be proof but if you’re willing to pay the expensive stuff all they care about is that you pay in US$.

They don’t care how they misuse taxpayer money.

Here in Texas, illegal aliens are accepted in all public universities and colleges and pay in-state tuition.

This is apparently just a "committee" proposing this, and having been there, that is not yet by any means definitive for the system.

But how can such a thing even be legally considered? They are illegal!

What I do not understand is even in high schools, how can illegals be permitted? They have no tax standing. They have no legal standing. They stand on no principle for being there in the first place. Can I just sneak across the Canadian border and let my kid go to high school there without any documentation whatsoever? There are indeed RICO laws which say servicing or harboring illegals is a crime. So how can a Governor, or Principal, or Committee, violate the law as well as spitting on the legal taxpayer?

Where are the legal heavyweights who should be all over this? Are there not any reasonable, well informed litigants anywhere who wish to protect the burdened American taxpayer?

Is there something going down which I don't see?

Are our laws simply employed at the emotional whims and feelings of transitory government authorities?

***

NBC News (forgive me - I don’t have cable and NBC News is the ONLY one that I can marginally stand) had a piece on last night about Community Colleges being flooded with students due to the economy.

Overcrowding, less classes, less financial aid ...

NOW, THIS ???

What a bunch of maroons !!!

Illegals should only be considered for enrollment if not enough US Citizens and legal foreign students have applied for enrollment.
