As much as I dislike Obamacare, I don’t see a problem with Michelle trying to clean up the ER.
You cannot have people using ERs as a primary care clinic.
ERs are for people who have true emergencies.
I don’t think you will get much traction on this issue, especially if Michelle developed a program to get these patients to see a family practice/primary care physician.

I’ve heard complaints from a handful of constituents, but I’ve also had calls from people in the health care profession complaining,” said Ald. Toni Preckwinkle, whose 4th Ward is just north of the hospital. “The medical professionals who have come to me are accusing the university of dumping patients on its neighboring institutions. ... Whether it’s being implemented in the way that’s in the best interest of the patient, I can’t tell you.”
Oh, good, Michelle is going to single handed send ILLEGALS home and tell welfare cheats and baby mamas they can't just dump the sperm donors kid at the local ER. /s
You are absolutely right about that. If she was merely trying to counter this practice, she was doing the right thing. People have to learn alternatives to ER abuse.
The issue is whether her hospital went overboard and turned away real emergencies because of the patient's ability to pay. That is the allegation and it deserves a full and fair airing of the facts.
