* The Daily Mail first reported 2 million, then scaled it back to 1.2 million. * Barbara Espinosa reported that actual traffic counters from the march organizers reported about 450,000 crossing Pennsylvania at 11th after about an hour of the march, and nearly 1.5 million total. * There was also the time-lapse photoset from the traffic camera over the Freedom Plaza, which is where 14th St NW crosses Pennsylvania Avenue at E street. * Our own estimate of more than 850,000. * The Noble and Ancient Order of the Gormogons, with an estimate of about 1 million. * Another estimate by Henry Vanderbilt, reported at Transterrestrial Musings. Using two different methods, Vanderbilt arrived at one estimate of up to 320,000 in the march down Pennsylvania alone, and 350,000 to 500,000 on the Mall and Capitol grounds. * The estimate of 350,000 from Political Gumbo and let me just mention: this is the way its done, kiddies. Ken Vaughn looked at my computation, made his own, documented his assumptions, and came out with a different number for the number marching on Pennsylvania Ave. Frankly, from his argument, I probably trust this estimate over my original one; remember that its only the marchers, though, so its certainly a lower bound number as well...

The official Obama Stream Media count is 10’s of thousands.
I am sure the ABCCBSNBCMSNBCCNN will report this as a gather of right wing, fringe racists who dress funny. And Maxine Waters will wonder why they were not interrogated.
The lesson here is that future marches and demonstrations need to do some work in advance to have some method for getting an accurate crowd count. I can think of at least a dozen different approaches, any one of which would be more accurate than the current practice of everyone issuing their own guess.
One of the big differences between liberal and conservative gatherings in DC is that conservatives want a good, reliable and accurate crowd count. Liberals, OTOH, don’t want an accurate count, they prefer to make up their own figures.
Go figure.
Sadly it doesn’t matter now. The media has finished the reporting, other than branding them racists and O’reilly has put in his 2 cents.
The event has been marginalized. I asked many people I know about it and they either didn’t know or said it was too bad the crowd wasn’t bigger.
The “official” count that O’Reilly accepted was 75,000.
O’REILLY insists it was 70,000.
They will finally cop to the correct estimates only as a reason to show how out of control and wisespread the ‘right wing whacko racists/terrorists’ have become and MUST be dealt with and reigned in.
Betcha....
I wonder if they’d report a more accurate count had they all been armed?
O’Reilly’s a complete tool. I heard him last night bending over backward to defend Obama and it was pathetic.
And I sent an angry email to Fox about that. The guy shouldn't be reporting every piece of BS that rolls of the AP teletype.
“SCORES RALLY IN D.C. TO PROTEST OBAMACARE”
Is not the mainstream (state-run) media pathetic?
The only reason I still watch O’Reilly is for the guests and Dennis Miller. When Juan Williams and Alam Colmes and other lily livered liberals are on I put the tv on mute.

Not one of them went to a good university like Harvard , Yale or Columbia and they spend their Saturday evenings burning crosses.
Okay, maybe there were 39.
The minumum estimate should be 300,000 to 400,000. We were told to stay off the mall because they did not have a permit to be there. (There was another event taking place there as well.) That caused people to spread out all around the capitol building. Plus, the march had to start early because Freedom Square was overflowing. Many people like myself were leaving early and I’m sure there were many late arrivals due to the Metro system being overloaded.
GOE has a good report here:

This article along with several images can easily be used to prove that the mainstream media is biased. Again. With each new piece of proof, more and more people will discover that truth.
