If ACORN were an honest organisation they should thank the bloggers for pointing out these indefensible actions of their people.

Actually, this is part of their MO - "fire" the "bad apples" and declare the rest of the organization pristine. They DID thank someone for pointing out the "11 workers turning in fraudulent signatures".

The multiple films, trickling out as necessary, really put the lie to this tactic.

ACORN is also planning to sue the bloggers for illegally recording ACORN employees without their knowledge, California ACORN officials said.

Which presents a problem for both sides, as the Crapafornia legal system, crooked judges, courts and prosecutors are the most Marxist and biased in the nation.

The bloggers case rests with the jury, the only protection they might have, other than the huge publicity nightmare for Acorn and DemoRats if the news of the persecution can be forced into the Rat MSM.

Maybe because they think most men listen to conservative talkradio?

educated, white male, married, sucessful career, planned for retirement

Years ago I had to serve jury duty. I figured my education and career in engineering would disqualify me.

Whistleblowers reporting fraud by recipients of taxpayer largesse getting sued by the fraudsters. Yaeh, that makes sense.

And now that I think about it: They have to retrain folks to not break the law?!

Law-breaking is the default position, eh..?

Women are a victim sub-class.
If you’re darker than a paper bag, AND a woman, you’re a “double victim”.

What federal whistle-blower laws might be used in the defense of the videographers? Since ACORN is funded by the feds, and they were giving advice on government regulation and tax advice, are they agents of the federal government?

Be cool.

In a civil suit, there is this double edged sword known as “discovery”.

Under the rules of discovery, there are very few things considered to be private and out of bounds.

The process is available to and will be used by both sides.

So can you imagine ACORN putting themselves in the position of being forced by the court under the rules of discovery to open their records on all things that relate to the case?

Not everything found during the process is allowable in court, but the lawyers then use this information to make their taking of depositions more effective. The person being deposed is sworn in under the penalty of perjury, so a lot of the information found under discovery ends up documented and sworn to.

This would not be a happy road for ACORN.

They are criminal, but they are not crazy.

You know, educated, white male, married, sucessful career, planned for retirement, you know all those traits they don’t want as a jurist.

In June of 2008 I was called to serve jury duty in the county where I reside. Of the approximately 45 people who were called, I was the only one that showed up in a suit and tie. Most others wore shorts or blue jeans, t-shirts, flip flops, etc. When the pool was asked to state their level of education I was the only one in the pool who had a college degree and I was the first one to be dismissed by the attorneys for the defendant.....

One office doing this is isolated but FIVE offices spread out over the U.S. is a RICO case.

ACORN had to have a training guide for ALL their employees since ALL the employees that got caught were giving the SAME advice.

True, however, ACORN is coming to the defense of a white woman and a man. Clearly they have no problem throwing their black employees under the bus.

Maybe they can get Van Jones to do the internal review. My guess the internal audit will include use of the shredder.

Oh, that would be just perfect..... ACORN IS filled with idiots...

IF they sue, and they just might, then they open themselves up to "discovery".... and they don't want that..

I'm thinking they'll try to destroy the filmaker and the young lady, CRIMINALLY prosecute them and if all else fails they will harm them as a lesson.

ACORN is a corrupt organization that basically shows low life parasites how to "work" the system and screw the taxpayer. It's a perfect vehicle for voter fraud and faux demonstrations.

The little rats that were video taped are just the tip.... go up the food..er money train and then you'll see the organizational make up similar to the mob.....

What I'd like FReepers to do though is to start looking into the "investment" banks that all the democrats and FAMILY seem to work for as they make millions with little background in "business" or "financial" knowledge... then slide back into the public trough again. .....then you'll see some real squealing by the little piggies.

well... since they emptied their bank accounts to pay for this ... I don't think they will be getting much in the settlement.

ROFL

Never sue someone who is broke.
