Obama misspoke. We’re all gonna croak.
Unfortunately, this is like those situations where a judge instructs the jury (in this case, the audience) to disregard a falsehood made by a witness (in this case, the PREVARICATOR-IN-CHIEF).
The damage has been done.
Yes, the damage is done. I wrote Weisman, who wrote the article, and told him that he had a double standard. I don’t really know what else to do.

That has the makings of a great protest sign, "Obama misspoke, people croaked!"
Of course, he is still responsible (well in theory) for what he gathers from the teleprompter.
A real press would have mentioned this in balance to the Wilson pillorying of the last week.
Amen to that. Southerners may “talk funny” (in Yankee minds), but at least you know that they tell the truth. Politicians excepted, of course.

Well, I mean, I’m shocked.... Truly shocked.
Now, what I’m not shocked at is that “You lie” but rather at how many times “You Lie” SHOULD have been cried.
There were, what, 22 direct lies in that short little speach - ignoring the exaggerations, of course.
His second example was a Texas woman "about to get a double mastectomy when her insurance company canceled her policy because she forgot to declare a case of acne." He said that "By the time she had her insurance reinstated, her breast cancer more than doubled in size."
President Obama's story is contradicted by the transcript of a June 16 hearing on industry practices before the Subcommittee of Oversight and Investigation of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. The woman's testimony at the June 16 hearing confirms that her surgery was delayed several months.
However, her testimony also suggests that the dermatologist's chart may have described her skin condition as precancerous, that the insurer also took issue with an apparent failure to disclose an earlier problem with an irregular heartbeat, and that she knowingly underreported her weight on the application.
So . . . it's convenient to say it was acne and it makes the insurers sound particularly evil.
I guess it wouldn't be as compelling, would it Mr. President, if you told the truth? That she failed to disclose precancerous skin conditions (were they treated?) and an irregular heartbeat, and underreported her weight (and I'm guessing by quite a bit -- not that I have the facts, but it's clear that President Obama didn't have the facts either).
Should the insurance company have denied coverage? Perhaps it shouldn't. I don't know enough about her previous conditions.
Should the President have left out precancerous skin conditions, an irregular heartbeat and (perhaps grossly) underreported weight? Nope. That's lying by ommision -- because his anecdote wouldn't have been as compelling had he told the truth.
Obama is STILL telling this story in public. To claim that it wasn’t properly vetted is deceitful. They KNOW now and continue to spread THE BIG LIE.
A protester called Obama a LIAR when he told it again this week and the prestitutes say that the protester was “mimicking” Joe Wilson. NO, both were pointing out precise moments that OBAMA LIED.
Goebbels would be proud of the propaganda machine of the DNC.
