Report: Man Fathered 4 Kids With Daughter
Australian arrested for raping daughter over 30 years, newspaper says
MELBOURNE, Australia - An Australian man has been arrested on charges of raping his daughter for 30 years and fathering four children with her, a newspaper reported Thursday.
The exclusive report by the Herald Sun newspaper said the man began raping his daughter in the 1970s when she was 11 years old, threatening her with violence against her mother. He was arrested in February after the woman approached police, the report said.
Victoria state police would not immediately confirm the newspaper's details, saying a court suppression order was in place.

You wake up one morning, 30 years later, and think, today’s the day I go to the police about all of this?

It could be that they live in a very isolated area and she has no way of transportation.If the old man did all the shopping and business and she had no way of getting away into town which could be 100 miles away then this could be true.
He started raping her at 11, who knows what her state of mind has been all of her life.
I used to prosecute sex crimes against children years ago. My experience is that a great number of child victims end up rather emotionally spent as adults.
That might be plausible, yes.
True. On of my history professors told us about a child rapist who got dealt with “hick style”... I think this would be appropriate in this case. Or drawn and quartered.

HOW exactly is these possible? I’ll never understand women who turn a blind eye to child abuse. Sickening.
Especially as her mother was living in the household and apparently either an active or passive enabler.
Several years ago, the daughter did try to make a police complaint about her father, but then withdrew it. She is in a very difficult situation - it is extremely hard to defy established authority figures and upturn one's whole life.
If you’ve never experienced abuse, you cannot know how it affects your life. I had an abusive husband and kept it from my family. I was afraid to leave him because I didn’t want our baby daughter to have to go with him for visitations. I have lain awake in bed for hours in fear. It just cannot be explained how frozen with fear you can become & I consider myself to be a strong person.
