(CNN) -- The FBI is investigating as a possible hate crime an incident in which a woman was beaten to the ground in front of her child at the entrance to a Cracker Barrel restaurant in Morrow, Georgia, south of Atlanta.
Troy Dale West Jr., of Poulan, Georgia, is facing charges including misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct after allegedly beating Army reservist Tashawnea Hill, 35, after the two had words at the entrance of the Morrow, Georgia, restaurant the evening of September 9.
Hill, an African-American, told police that West, 47, yelled racial epithets at her as the attack took place.
"He did punch me with a closed fist repeated times. My head is still hurting today. I have knots on my head," Hill told CNN Wednesday night, adding she also was kicked.
Police said witnesses confirmed her account.

Thank God for hate crime legislation. It’s so much worse to beat someone up because of hate as opposed to beating up someone you like.
So a man beats up a woman, a black man beats up a white woman and the law is considering it might be possibly a hate crime but then again they could change their mind.
They don’t call it “Cracker” Barrel for nuttin’.

I guess some animals really are more equal than others. :)
It may be because that situation lacked racial epithets and one of the kids laughing and being entertained by the beating is white. Plus, there were other white kids on the bus not being bothered.

So this white guy beat the crap out of this black woman for no reason at all. Yeah, I know it happens, just wonder what set him off? Mow, if they charge this guy with a hate crime are they going to charge those black punks that beat the crap out of the white kid on the bus with a hate crime too? I think I already know the answer.
I love the fact that this is a hate crime yet the white kid who had the crap beat out of him on a school bus by blacks w/other blacks hooping and hollering on the sidelines is NOT a hate crime....what the hell am I missing here....
What most Americans missed when they passed the Hate Crime Bill was the timing. This was a strategic weapon that the progressives put into the arsenal FIRST, then and only then they were ready to launch their full scale assault on America. The only justification in enact such a stupid law is to intimidate Americans (the wrong kind of Americans) into keeping their mouths shut while they take over the country.
I was watching CNN because they were going to have the big
Acorn CEO in for an interview. It was even Rick Sanchez...first time in a long, long time that I watched, but the man who did the beating is reported to be saying that the woman spit on him. Of course, both she and her lawyer denied that she provoked him at all. They will be on CNN again tomorrow because there are expecting to release new developments in the case. It was a real rarity for me to watch CNN, but sometimes it is good to see what the FRINGE media is reporting. Fox, to my knowledge, has not been covering the Cracker Barrel incident.

Well you see, it’s like this. If a white guy murders another white guy that is ...murder and for this you get the death penalty. But, if a white guy murders a black guy that is hate murder, which is much more serious because the black guy is now dead and for hate murder you get the death penalty. See, its easy to understand.
You’re not missing anything. In Obama’s America, some people are more equal than others. (and the ones who are more equal just happen to be darker)
Also, a black kid on the bus helped break up the beating.
