It's Almost as if the Public Doesn't Believe Obama's Promises Anymore
NRO ^ | SEPTEMBER 16, 2009 | Jim Geraghty

Posted on 09/16/2009 12:47:49 PM PDT by RobinMasters

Gallup asked, "As you may know, President Obama is proposing a healthcare plan that is designed to expand coverage to nearly all Americans without raising taxes on the middle class or lowering the quality of health care. If Obama’s plan is passed, do you think it would or would not be able to accomplish all of these goals?"

Only 38 percent said yes, 60 percent said no.

And that's just with three of the promises about the plans. As I observed after the speech:

We're expected to believe a Democrat-controlled Congress, with deep divisions in its ranks, will put together a bill that will keep everything the same for those who have health insurance through their jobs, Medicare, Medicaid, or the VA; mandate coverage of pre-existing conditions; ban caps on coverage; mandate coverage of routine checkups and preventive care, like mammograms and colonoscopies; offer health insurance to 30 million uninsured; provide tax credits for small businesses; painlessly mandate coverage for the young healthy uninsured; provide hardship waivers; provide choice and competition; keep insurance companies honest; avoid taxpayer subsidies for public option plans; keep out illegal immigrants; not pay for abortions; and not deny care to the elderly because of cost-benefit analyses, all while not adding one dime to our deficits — either now or in the future.

Never trust a puppet of a President. Remember, this guy only has a few more years to lie and keep the American people in line for the money changers. New World order is the plan but the American people can stop it......if they want to.

Hehehe. Obama has been lying and lied to a joint session of Congress and Joe Wilson called him on it.

It’s one thing to lie and another to deliver on the lies. Even fools get tired of being duped.

Exactly. I’m not the least bit disappointed.

Disgusted; but not disappointed.

Amen brothers!!!! A tiny bit of discovery about Oabama before the election was all anyone needed to realize what to expect. I hate to say it, but what were the voters missing, a smidgeon of intelligence?

Let’s do a little sumary:

IF there are 50 million uninsured persons in America who are legal citizens ENTITLED to our support of tax payer dollars:

50 million is about 1/6 of the rough population estimate of 300 million.

We have not added a single doctor- nurse- lab tech- chair in the waiting room- clerk at the admission desk- space in the parking lot- bed-toilet-room-sheets- all the support items it takes to hand out more ‘health care’.

We are expected to swallow NObama’s words that the government can add all this service at a lower cost !@!!!

IF I own a theatre that seats a CAPACITY of 2500 people, and NObama declares overnight with the agreement of Congress that I have to seat 3000 people for every performance at absolute no increase in cost...even a reduction of cost...
PLEASE, Freepers, explain how this can be accomplished???

“PLEASE, Freepers, explain how this can be accomplished???”

The only way I can imagine you might be able to do it is if a large percentage of your customers are half-a$$ed Democrats! (Snicker-snort!)

You tell the last 500 people that they must sit in someone’s lap, you give them a discount for their inconvenience, then you give the people whose laps they are sitting on their money back plus a small payment to compensate for their agony. You must also get one thousand people to sign a waiver saying they will not sue you. Presto you serve 500 more customers while lowering overall costs, of course you give up a chunk of profit, I hope there is something left after you pay your costs.

Now if you can translate that into medical terms you know how they will do it.
