Bush was preparing to give a speech to the annual meeting of the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC. The conference is the event of the year for conservative activists; Republican politicians are required to appear and offer their praise of the conservative movement.
Latimer got the assignment to write Bush's speech. Draft in hand, he and a few other writers met with the president in the Oval Office. Bush was decidedly unenthusiastic.
"What is this movement you keep talking about in the speech?" the president asked Latimer.

“As a conservative, Bush delivered on two of the main reasons I voted for him: the Supreme Court (Alito and Roberts were great picks)”
You wouldn’t have had Alito if Bush had his way. He wanted Harriet Miers.
This is parody, right?
As long as conservatives keep blindly following the GOP and drinking its Kool Aid, all it will give us is people like Bush, McCain, Olympia Snowe, and the like. After all, that’s all you demand.
You are right, he has been out of office a whole NINE MONTHS! I would be interested in your defination of “for some time”.
