Senate Democrats are going to have to move forward on healthcare without a single Republican supporter after Sen. Olympia Snowe said Tuesday she could not back the Finance Committees bill.
Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) failed to win any Republican backer despite weeks of intense negotiations behind closed doors to strike a deal.

Hey Demmies....feel that draft? Feels lonely dosen’t it :)
Amazing!
I think if any Republican backs this thing - they will be toast. They will have a primary challenger and people around the country will probably donate $5 million to beat them.
Now when Senator SNOWE starts to stand her ground with Democrats, you KNOW the Tea Party had an affect.
Olympia Snowejob has been a co-conspirator/useless idiot for so long...it’s foolish to try and fool us now. Go ahead and vote for it, statist.
with Specter gone from the GOP ranks, Olympia was the Dems best hope to show ‘bipartisanship.’
2010, the year of the political slaughter house.

Keep making those calls. If your representatives don’t know you by name, you’re not calling enough!
Yup, 912 had a HUGE effect, and turned out to be GREAT timing!
They can still push it through by reconciliation though, can’t they? Or dont they even have the 51?
Can you say: FILIBUSTER????
“Senate Democrats are going to have to move forward on healthcare without a single Republican supporter”
bttt
That will be a first.
Amazing! Not one single Republican in either house will be voting for this Universal PUBLIC Health Care Plan! I’ll believe it when I see it.
The article also makes it very clear that the Dems will move forward and pass the bill without a single Republican vote if necessary. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Tuesday that Democrats are prepared to use budget reconciliation as a last resort.
If they use this tactic, we sure as h*ll better hear the Republicans screaming bloody murder. The Dems had a hissy fit when the our side thought about using the "nuclear option"! Is that the same thing, or am I remembering wrong?
Hold the line, Madame.
I hate to think this way, but this is how I interpret that statement: She asked for a HUGE pork project to be thrown into this thing in order to get her support and the Dems told her to take a hike. So now she says she has some "concerns" the can possibly "be addressed" in order to get her support.
I say the Dems cave, give her her pork feast and put her out there on all of the talk shows this Sunday to sell the bill for them.
I dont trust that b8tch. She’s stabbed the GOP in the front and back so what’s her angle?
