A leading group opposed to organized labor will release a web video Wednesday likening incoming AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka to notorious mafia leaders. The Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) assembled a two-and-a-half minute, potentially incendiary web video likening the comparing leader of the powerful organized labor group to organized crime bosses. The video, featuring music in the background meant to mimic the soundtrack of mob classic "The Godfather," compares quotes from Trumka to words from mob dons like Carlo Gambino, John Gotti, Al Capone, and even the fictional "Don Corleone." "Mob Boss vs. Union Boss: Should it be so hard to distinguish between the two?" the ad asks. The ad comes as Trumka prepares to assume control of the AFL-CIO from John Sweeney this week, the outgoing president.

Do two young journalist - usually pretending to be a pimp and ho - have “union goon tapes”?
The only difference that I see between the mobsters and the union goons is that mobsters usually carry violins around with them.
My family was TERRORIZED by the Teamsters in the 70’s. I had to be escorted to elementary school with an armed guard for TWO YEARS....as did my siblings. They would phone my mother with threats when my father would leave for work. They constantly drove down the drive-way (and, no, I’m not kidding, here) in a big, white Cadillac EVERY DAY. Once, they even sent a motorcycle gang to circle the drive. The police and telephone company could do NOTHING.....and we had ‘taps’ on the phone (the old suction kind). It died down, eventually.
Employees were constantly harassed to join ‘the union’. Thank GOD they were loyal (as they were VERY well treated by my family since my grandfather started the biz).
What about the SEIU Stern Gang godfather? No mention of *him*?
Trumka and sycophants will view that as a compliment.
We can all win against the goons of the world if we stand together - just like your family did... thanks for sharing.
They are just NOW waking up to the fact the unions have been racketeers for the past 40 years?
Unions are nothing but thuggish gangs.
