Looks like STEALTH OBAMACARE has already moved into NC.

The Federal GRANT is FEDERAL TAX DOLLARS going to provide government run healthcare for low income working parents.

How can Gov Perdue do this? She and the Dems are in total control of government, taxes, spending in NC....

I’d ask for the cash up front.

Could end up like the car dealers in the Cash for Clunkers Program.

Yes it is - corrupt and socialist!

How I would love to see a march on the Legislature and Governor’s office akin to what we saw in DC!

Or, I’d just settle for a complete overhaul of our corrupt Demcommies in power.

False hopes to me.

It doesn’t come in till 2014, not next year.

It will be unfunded mandates. Again.

It will be Medicare on steroids as that is the only framework in place. And it doesn’t work.

USPS is not running a profit. AMTRACK has shrunk over the years and still needs more funding. OSHA has written rules to stifle business.

The government can’t manage a program at a profit (not their mandate any way), let alone to break even. The governments track record at managing anything is atrocious.

What possesses anyone to think healthcare would be different.

Well those parents who don’t work can get medicaid.

The problem is - and I do not mean to be mean - that it is the foot in the huge door that will flood us into nationalized healthcare.

It started with “Healthcare for the children” - and now is being added and portrayed as “healthcare for the parents of the children”...

Bottom line it is just a HUGE expansion actually of Medicaid type services....but to only a very limited number of people.

They know this small amount of tax dollars will NOT SUFFICE and once the program starts it will just mushroom, balloon, and voila we have Obamacare even without it passing in Congress.

I am not against working parents having healthcare, of course.

But it is totally taxpayer funded. It is another handout.

It is socialism.

If that makes me a “meanie” then I guess I am one.

You are totally correct.

It sounds so heartless to not want people to have healthcare...but here we are.

We don’t want government paying for everyone in this country’s healthcare - whether it is through private or government providers - because we simply CANNOT AFFORD IT!

As a born optimist, I always try to look on the positive side of everything. After reading your post, I can find no room for disagreement.

Somewhere there is a solution. Some way it has to be found for the health and well being of all Americans.

But I feel listing to the rhetoric and the incessant name calling ... the priority is to spend money. That way if it does fail Congress and politicians could say “we did our part” ... ‘they’ (whom ever) caused it to fail.

I don’t really think funding is the ‘biggest’ part of the problem. I believe other aspects need closely examined as they are the points of weakness and ultimate cause of failure and high costs.
