The House of Representatives, on the heels of an impassioned and lively debate, voted Tuesday to formally admonish Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., for accusing the president of lying during a joint session of Congress a week ago.
The vote was 240-179. Five lawmakers voted "present."

Again I have to say, do they have NOTHING better to do? He apologized. That’s more than Bush ever got. This whole thing has me severely irritated.
Sounds like the dems are making another campaign contribution to Wilson. I’m in!
7 Republicans voted against Wilson ... They are listed HERE (http://www.thepatriotsflag.com) with their email links.
The House is run by bozos.
And Rep Markey?
What exactly is an “admonishment?” Are they going to publicly excoriate him? Tar and feather him? Make him wear a scarlet “A” for admonishment????
They ignore Charlie Rangels tax evasion.
They can accuse their opponents of donning white hoods and riding across America but will punish those who tell a liar that he lies.
awwwwwwwwwwwwww ... how nostalgic.
I live in Louisiana, but Cassidy’s my Rep. Cao won against Jefferson (yes, the crook). I tried to e-mail my irritation with him on his Wilson vote, but to no avail because he makes it clear on his site that he only wants to hear from his district - and his e-mail system rejects any zips not within his jurisdiction. I wish some stronger more loyal Republican would run against him in 2010 (or whenever he’s running next).

A "resolution of disapproval" is not one of the four forms of discipline typically meted out in the House. The most commonly used means of punishment are expulsion, censure, reprimand or fine.
Oh wahhh, his punishment it that they have declared him punished. Big deal, it was worth it.
Rep. William Delahunt [D, MA-10]
I guess Rep Delahunt felt so strongly he voted twice!
Just kidding, thanks for posting the information.
Wilson needs to wear this as a badge of honor.
Tried to email Bob Inglis, even though I do not live in the 4th district. Cannot get through to his inbox! These scoundrels know how to hide from the people.
Did they recently vote down some kind of admonishment or sanction for Rangel?
Joe must be looking forward to being “disciplined” by Dominatrix Pelosi.
Will this go on his permanent record?
Popcorn, Peanuts. Get your Red Hots. Popcorn. Peanuts.
This is the ONLY positive thing going on for democrats (it entertains them) - and it only shows how arrogant, bullyish and hypocritcal they are in doing it. Joe Wilson was correct and most Americans support what he said and are disgusted with democrat theatrics and will remember this for a long time to come despite what liberals are attempting to make it be.
