ACORN is Obama, and Obama is ACORN.  You cannot separate the two.  ACORN is freaking everywhere."

"You know, they're looking for a new judge to replace Paula Abdul on American Idol.
How about Obama?  He's doing television everywhere else!
I mean, if Obama's willing to call Kanye West a 'jackass', imagine what he could say about some of the talent on American Idol."

"Robert Gibbs said last Friday that the White House was unaware of the DC rally, that he didn't know who the 'group' was.
Gibbs, it isn't a 'group'.  It is the American people who showed up. Protesting you.  And your administration.  And your policies."

"Obama is now booked for Letterman and five Sunday shows -- I kid you not!
And three speeches today!  Now, this is like Castro, and I'm not saying that halfheartedly or lackadaisically."

"Let's examine this. The top news guy at ABC, Charlie Gibson, did not know about ACORN.  Why?
Why did Charlie Gibson not know these things?
Was he too busy tracking the day-to-day activities of Sarah Palin with his reading glasses halfway down his nose?"

"Even if you don't think you're conservative, if you showed up Saturday, trust me:  you are."

"Joe Wilson might be censured today in the House of Representatives.
This is going to come back and bite these people.  I hope they go ahead and do it."

"If the House of Representatives actually vote to censure Joe Wilson, you know what's going to happen?
Folks, don't tell anybody this.  Just keep it between us -- but we want this to happen.
He'll become the single largest fundraising member of Congress in history!"

"Does Obama really think that the way to get middle class support is to go out and kowtow to unions?
The middle class is paying for these people who have already been stimulated!"

"If it's not in the New York Times, I'm telling you -- these elite leftists don't know about it."

Continually repeat ...

It's not about me.
I'm the President.

From Kids on Bus to Kanye West:  Race Rules All in Obama's America.
Post-racial America?
It turns out to be quite the opposite.

September 15, 2009

VIDEO:  FoxNews:  Bus Beating Caught On Tape

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH:  Hey, look, folks, the white kid on that bus in Belleville, Illinois, he deserved to be beat up.  You don't know about this story?  Oh, there's video of this.  The school bus filled with mostly black students beat up a white student a couple of times with all the black students cheering.  Of course the white student on the bus deserved the beating.  He was born a racist.  That's what Newsweek magazine told us in its most recent cover.  It's Obama's America, is it not?  Obama's America, white kids getting beat up on school buses now.  You put your kids on a school bus, you expect safety but in Obama's America the white kids now get beat up with the black kids cheering, "Yay, right on, right on, right on, right on," and, of course, everybody says the white kid deserved it, he was born a racist, he's white.  Newsweek magazine told us this.  We know that white students are destroying civility on buses, white students destroying civility in classrooms all over America, white congressmen destroying civility in the House of Representatives.

We can redistribute students while we redistribute their parents' wealth.  We can redistribute everything.  Just return the white students to their rightful place, their own bus with bars on the windows and armed guards.  They're racists.  They get what they deserve.  Newsweek magazine told us this, post-racial America.  I wonder if Obama is going to come to the defense the assailants the way he did his friend Skip Gates up there at Harvard.  I mean the assailants are presumed innocent due to the white racism we all know runs rampant in America.  The Drive-By Media is ginning up all this criticism of Obama.  Again today it's all based in racism, the criticism of Obama's health care plan or whatever, it's all based in racism and so, if he's going to apologize for America, Obama needs to apologize for the right reasons.  White Americans are racists who have created what they call free markets that really just enslave the rest of America and her trading partners.  It was white Americans that ran off Van Jones.

Let's just follow Eric Holder's advice and not be cowards about all this.  Let's have an open conversation, an honest conversation about all of our typical white grandmothers.  You had one, I had one.  Obama had one.  They're racists just like our students are.  ACORN, hey, nothing but racism fueling the pursuit of ACORN.  Greetings, folks.  How are you? (interruption) What do you mean you can't look at everything through a racial prism? Obama does.  And his media is looking at everything through a racial prism.  The left looks at everything through a racial prism.  Hey, they hit us; we hit back twice as hard.  Greetings, folks, Rush Limbaugh behind the Golden EIB Microphone and the telephone number if you want to be on the program, 800-282-2882.

Look, this thing on the bus cannot possibly be a hate crime.  The cops are probably lying about what happened even though we have the video.  The video was probably doctored and edited.  We all know that cops are liars, racist pigs, and that the white kid deserved it.  I mean that's modern 2009 going into 2010 America.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Now, Kanye West.  Kanye West, well known rapper.  In fact, audio sound bites, I'm going to switch up on the broadcast engineer.  Let's do 17, 18, and 19, let's get those ready because I got an idea.  I think I've unearthed a nest of racists in journalism, another nest of racists in the music business.  What is all this criticism of Kanye West?  Okay, so he goes out there and he's drunk, he's drinking cognac or whatever and he steals the show from the legitimate award winner, but I mean what the hell, the award winner was white, he's black, there's racism going on here.  They're criticizing Kanye West.  They are demeaning Kanye West.  Ladies and gentlemen, Kanye West is African-American, and as we are learning from the State-Controlled Media, any criticism of Obama is racist and therefore it follows, any disapproval of whatever Kanye West did has to be racism.

What did he do?  It's MTV, for cry out loud.  This is mild compared to what happens on MTV.  Look, I know he was upset that Beyonce didn't get the award, I understand all that, but so what.  He drank?  That's nothing.  That's like eating jellybeans compared to what else is going on backstage at the MTV Music Awards.  Okay, and plus he got drunk on cognac.  That's an elite drink.  It doesn't take a whole lot of cognac, so he gets liquored up on cognac, he walks out, he's standing up for his sister, he's standing up for racial unity.  Beyonce should have gotten it.  Instead, the 19-year-old white country chick got it.  And now we're all ripping into Kanye West.  Oh, it has to be racism, folks.  There's no other reason why people would be criticizing Kanye West.  He's entitled to be egotistical and stupid, just like Obama is entitled to be egotistical and stupid but any criticism of Obama is racist.  Look, forget Kanye West for a second.  I'm going to have to prove my point here.  Let's go to the audio sound bites.  We have a montage.  Last night, CNN, too many people to list, State-Controlled Media action line, the protest against Obama is racist.

CAMPBELL BROWN: (music) ...vicious, racist imagery attacking our first African-American president.

LAWRENCE O'DONNELL: (newsroom noise) Gentleman Joe Wilson has done much to make the racist history of South Carolina jump back into our present consciousness.

CANDY CROWLEY: (b-roll) Critics think this is about resistance to a black man as president.

JAMES CARVILLE: People are upset with President Obama because of the color of his skin. Who cannot believe that?

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Could there be a refusal to accept the legitimacy of Barack Obama as president because of his race?

WOLF BLITZER: A small but disturbing minority within the tea party movement is also blatantly anti-black.

JOHN RIDLEY: When you talk about racial image, this is not just standard debate.

ELAINE QUIJANO: (b-roll) A small but passionate minority is also voicing what some see as racist rhetoric.

JOHN AVLON: Hitler. Communism. Racism. All this ugliness is bubbling up.

ANDERSON COOPER: There is an undercurrent of racism in some of the criticism of the president.

JUAN WILLIAMS:  An attack on somebody because you really don't like the fact that they are president or because of their race.

ROSS DOUTHAT: Clearly Barack Obama's race plays some role in the kind of anxieties that are roiling the political right.

CLARENCE PAGE: (outdoor noise) People are not just mad at Obama. They are mad at Jesse Jackson. They are mad at Reverend Wright. They are mad at Al Sharpton. They are mad at people who have nothing to do with Obama except they all happen to be black.

RUSH:  That's Clarence Page there at the end.  So you could see my progressive logical thinking here is that if all of this criticism of Obama -- look at this, now.  There's absolutely nothing wrong with this health care bill, there's nothing wrong with cap and trade, there's nothing wrong with card check, there's nothing wrong with owning the automobile -- nothing wrong with any of it, it's all racism, everybody bit of opposition is racism.  Therefore it only follows that the white kid getting beat up on the bus deserved to get beat up 'cause he's born racist, according to Newsweek magazine.  It's understandable the other black students on the bus would cheer.  And now Kanye West being ripped to shreds for playing to type.  I mean this is the MTV Music Awards.  This is where this kind of aberrant behavior is supposed to happen.  The only reason anybody can be criticizing Kanye West has to be, based on what we're learning from the State-Controlled Media, because he's racist.  Surely some of these critics of Kanye West can look themselves in the mirror and ask themselves, "Will you ever stop criticizing a guy just because of his skin color?"  Mike Lupica, you got a column here. Eugene Robinson, you got a column here.

Let's go to Kanye West.  I actually think what got all this going was that Terry Moran of ABC News put on a Tweet that Obama had called Kanye West a jackass.  And then they took that down because Obama did say it but not in a formal interview, he said it outside a formal interview setting.  He called Kanye West a jackass.  So I think, you know, they're looking for a new judge to replace Paula Abdul on American Idol.  Obama!  He's doing television everywhere else.  Nobody wants Ellen DeGeneres on there to be a judge, Paula's gone so put on Obama, going to be on TV every Monday or Tuesday and Wednesday night in the important winter months when people are staying at home.  So let Obama, if he's willing to call Kanye West a jackass, imagine what he could say about some of the other talent on American Idol.  Yes, the criticism of Serena Williams was most definitely racist.  Good point, Snerdley.  My criticism of you is racist.  Serena Williams, what did she do, she got screwed.  The line judge was right but the line judge is a racist because the line judge isn't black.  This is all stuff we have to admit, folks, we all know this.  Let me go to the tape last night of Jay Leno's debut. Kanye West comes out.  Leno says, "Tell us about your day.  Have you had a tough day today, Kanye?"

WEST:  I immediately knew in the situation that it was wrong.  It wasn't a spectacle -- you know, actually someone's emotions, you know, that I stepped on, it was very -- it was just -- it was rude, period, and, you know, I'd like to be able to apologize to her person.  So many, you know, celebrities they never take the time off and I've never taken the time off to really, you know, I just music after music and tour and tour, and I just ashamed that my hurt caused, you know, someone else's hurt.  My dream of what award shows are supposed to be caused -- you know -- and I don't try to justify it because I was just in the wrong, that's period, but I need to after this take some time off and just analyze how I'm going to, you know, make it through the -- the rest of this life, how I'm going to improve.

RUSH:  You know, I've rarely heard such articulate, clean, brilliant logic in my life on this program.  If more people in this country were able to express themselves the way Kanye West did on the Leno show last night we would be far better off.  We wouldn't have any misunderstandings at all.  I mean, it's rare, folks, to have this kind of clarity, clean articulation on primetime television on the network.  (interruption) Yeah, great looking guy, great looking guy, especially with the cognac snifter in his hand.  I mean the guy's got elegant class, no question about that.  Let's go back September 2, 2005, concert for hurricane relief all over GE.  Here's a portion of Kanye West's appeal for money.

WEST:  We already realize a lot of the people that could help are at war right now fighting another way and they -- they've -- they've given them permission to go down and shoot us. / George Bush doesn't care about black people.

RUSH:  And, see, therefore the criticism of Kanye West has to be rooted in racism.  Again some brilliant formulation there.  You know words are beautiful things.  You find the beautifully strung together words normally in literature.  But Kanye West, folks, I mean, we are in the midst of a charismatic brilliance here that is as difficult to absorb in one setting.  Here, September 24th on Nightline, Terry Moran interviewed the noted rapper Kanye West.  "What did it do to your life when you said that, 'George Bush doesn't care about black people'?"

WEST:  I think it changed my life for the better.  I think people understood me a little bit more.

MORAN:  Do you think it was fair?  Reflecting now, do you still believe George Bush doesn't care about black people?

WEST:  I mean I have a hard time believing that George Bush cares about anyone. (laughing) So, side-bar black people also, you know. (laughing)

RUSH:  There you have it, Kanye West described as a jackass by President Obama.  I think Obama is probably just jealous of Kanye West's communication skills.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH:  A companion story.  The UK Telegraph headline: "Oprah Winfrey's Reign as Chat Show Queen May be Coming to an End." That, of course, must be racism as well.  Oprah's ratings are falling.  Some people are reporting it, but nervously so, and are wondering: Is this going to be a permanent drop-off?  She's had these before, but she's surged back.  But if Oprah's ratings are plummeting it's just another thing to throw in the must-be-racism-is-the-cause problem.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: St. Louis. Let's grab a call quickly. Bob I'm glad you waited welcome to the EIB Network.  Hello.

CALLER:  Hi, Rush.  Hey, I just want was commenting on the Belleville incident with the kids on the bus.  You're right. They did report that last night as being racially motivated, but I just heard the news before your show started and the police chief over -- I think he was a police chief, some law enforcement -- there said that after further investigation of it would be not racially motivated. He said he should have been more professional before he commented on it and investigated it more before he decided and stated that it was racially motivated.

RUSH:  Well, did he say why, in Obama's America, that incident with the white kid getting beat up on the black school bus was not racially motivated?

CALLER:  I hear him comment about that.  No, sir.

RUSH:  Because we've seen the videotape. Have you seen the videotape?

CALLER:  Oh, yeah, sure.

RUSH:  We can't hear what's being said.

CALLER:  No.

RUSH:  So we don't know what obvious taunts this lone white student was dishing out to the whole bus.

CALLER:  Right.

RUSH:  We don't know what obvious taunts.

CALLER:  Right.

RUSH:  Worse than the obvious verbal taunts, we all know the racism that was in the kid's mind.  I mean Newsweek magazine says he was born a racist. So you know the white kid is sitting there thinking N-word and all kinds of things being surrounded by these black students. They knew that. They knew that and so they just descended on the kid and beat him up. We've seen the videotape.  What did the police chief investigate?

CALLER:  He did not comment on anything other than he said more investigations shows that it was not racially motivated.

RUSH:  I think the guy is wrong I think not only was it racism, it's justifiable racism.

CALLER: True.

RUSH: I mean, that's the lesson that we're being taught here today.  Kids shouldn't have been on the bus anyway.

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: We need segregated buses. It was invading of space and so forth.  This is Obama's America.

CALLER:  Yes. Could I ask another question, not related to this issue?

RUSH:  By all means, since you're here.

CALLER:  Yes, sir.  I used to live down in Cape. I had met your dad on a couple occasions, and wondered if you have any knowledge about how your grandfather became a Christian. The reason I'm asking that is I knew that way back in the twenties and thirties when your grandfather was in that area, they had Billy Sunday revivals in Cape Girardeau, and you know Billy Sunday was kind of the predecessor of Billy Graham today.

RUSH:  Yeah?

CALLER:  I wondered if you knew anything about how he became a Christian?

RUSH:  Born that way.

CALLER: (laughs)

RUSH: No, no.  Born and raised a Christian.

CALLER:  Yeah.

RUSH:  He was a Methodist through and through, was a standing member of the Centenary United Methodist Church. He was on the board for many, many years, great fundraiser and donor to the church and so forth, so I don't remember him saying anything about Billy Sunday and whatever influence that Billy Sunday might have had on him. But I know that he was born into Christianity. He was just like I was, our whole family was born into Christianity.

CALLER:  Okay.  Well, 'cause you know the reason I was saying this -- and I hope you don't mind me commenting on this, 'cause this is kind of personal to you.  But nobody in current America -- publicly in the public eye, in the public scene -- could go through the things that you have gone through without their Christian values and family background connections. If anything, it is a commentary on what a lot of people in this country could make available to them if they would get it like you.

RUSH:  It is personal.

CALLER:  I know. I know.

RUSH:  We don't do religion on the program because I'm not a preacher and I don't do sermons here.

CALLER:  I know. I know.

RUSH:  I don't like arguing people's faith with them because faith by definition is what it is.  But I appreciate your saying that.  I do think that one of the great problems we have in the country is that we have lost sight and even connection to the religious nature of our founding.  I don't think there's any question about it.  I don't think you can have 1.3 million abortions a year without any guilt whatsoever on the part of so many people, and not say we've lost one of the most important roots (r-o-o-t-s) to our founding.  You know, it's safe to say that in many acts of crime that take place in this country you could say that part of the country has lost its soul.  I don't think there's any question that that's happened and is the case.  So I appreciate your call, Bob.  Thanks much with the update on the chief of police in Belleville, Illinois, saying upon further review there was no racial element in the school bus full of black students beating up a white student and cheering about it.

Liberals Declare:  Obama is Failing
Don't doubt: Obama is failing, but hasn't failed yet.
September 15, 2009

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Politico has an amazing story today by Jeremy Lott, editor of Capital Research Center's Labor Watch newsletter.  He's a lib.  He's the author of The Warm Bucket Brigade: The Story of the American Vice Presidency. Here is the headline: "So far, Obama's Failing Miserably," and wait 'til you hear what Obama's failing at in the liberals' own words.  This is more testament, folks, to "do not doubt me."

"When he ran for president, George W. Bush promised to be a modest reformer at home and a humble representative of the United States on the world stage." Al-Qaeda changed all that.  "Barack Obama's initial approach to the office of the presidency has been as grandiose as Bush's was restrained. It's not hard to recall that he ran as a transformative candidate, promising sweeping, though somewhat fuzzy, 'change' during the campaign." Oh, now they call it "fuzzy."  It was hard to call it "fuzzy" during the campaign.  It was always sweeping and it was massive and it was overwhelmingly great. Hope and change!  Now, who said this first, Obama's failing miserably?  Was it Jeremy Lott here at Politico or was it me?

"For the first several months of his presidency, Obama has labored to deliver on that pledge" of fuzzy change. "He pushed a controversial stimulus bill through Congress to help rev up the economy, turned Bush's reluctant bailout of Chrysler and General Motors into a giant government auto buyout and appointed a record number of 'czars” to help regulate bureaucracies in both public and formerly private sectors. Then, Step 2. Obama is trying to fundamentally alter the American economy by backing sweeping environmental, labor and health care legislation. He wants to change the way Americans consume energy, unionize and see their doctors. So far, he's failing miserably." This is exactly what I had hoped for, but I'm not ready to proclaim him a failure yet.  The libs are upset because he is failing.  He is failing at fundamentally altering America in their view.  This is why I wanted him to fail from the get-go, and I still do. And now the libs are starting to write about how, "So far, he's failing miserably" because he's not delivering on what they thought he was going to provide.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Jeremy Lott in Politico of Obama, "So far, he's failing miserably. Consider the following: Cap-and-trade legislation had to limp over the finish line in the House ... Environmental legislation generally has taken a drubbing in public opinion polls when people consider how costly it is. The Employee Free Choice Act [Card Check] may be stripped of its 'card check' provision in the Senate... On health care, forget the rage set off by private citizen Sarah Palin tweeting about 'death panels.' Forget the misleading talk about whether there will be a 'public option.'" This guy gets it right here. He says: "The ever-evolving plan is one giant public option, folks."

That's the point that I've been trying to make!  Whatever they do is a public option, national government-run health care plan.  He says, "Forget the angry voters who crowded into the town halls during the August recess. Forget that a number of Democratic senators ... are still not willing to sign on to a bill. Right now, even after Obama's address to the joint session of Congress last week, it's possible Democrats don't even have the votes in the House -- where they currently enjoy a 77-seat majority. It's entirely possible -- nay, likely -- that Obama will lose on all three big issues. He'll probably take that personally." No, no, no, he won't, Mr. Lott. It's not about Obama.  Ah-he-he-ahem.  Of course he's going to take it personal.  "The question that most political handicappers are considering right now is not 'Will Republicans make gains at the midterm elections?' but 'How large will those gains be?'

"What all this means is, barring some unforeseeable world event, Obama's will probably not be a historic presidency." Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Wait a minute! I thought it already was.  He's already written two memoirs about his first five minutes of his life.  He's the first black president.  Every time he opens his mouth it's historic, I thought.  "So Obama now has the chance to be the sort of president Bush would have been if the World Trade Center towers had not come down. Here's hoping he makes the best of it." So the libs, they're out there proclaiming Obama a failure already.

Luanne:  How the Poor Cheat IRS
Who was first to poignantly propose this?
Tax the poor!

September 15, 2009

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: This is Luanne in Jacksonville, Florida.  Welcome to the EIB Network.  Hello.

CALLER:  Hi.  How are you today?

RUSH:  Very well.  Thank you.

CALLER:  Good.  Hey.  I'd like to make a comment that you made earlier on the ACORN tax preparers.

RUSH:  Yes.

CALLER.  You know what, you are exactly right and I hope everybody out there realizes that the upper class of people do pay the majority of taxes, and those rarely cheat on their taxes.  I am a certified tax preparer -- and not that I am a fan of the IRS, but had I been able to bust these people, I sure would have.  I saw daily people coming in and actually sharing children where they didn't even have the child's Social Security number. They had them written on paper napkins, backs of envelopes, didn't know the child's middle name.

RUSH:  Wait a second here!  You are confirming that it is the poor who are the tax cheats in this country. The poor and the middle class, not the rich. While all the ACORN babes... Look, everybody thinks it's the rich who are the tax cheats, that have all the lawyers and people like to you advise them how to cheat.  You don't advise them how to cheat. You just know the law and you tell them how to file taxes according to the law to limit what they pay but the ACORN babes are helping people cheat on their taxes, and we always thought it was the rich doing this.

CALLER:  Oh, let me tell you.  And me personally in the offices that I have worked in, we are not allowed by law to tell them anything or tell them that they are breaking the law.  We have to say, "You might be audited by the IRS now."  Of course what I have done is I haven't. Just as times I haven't even touched --

RUSH:  Wait a second.  Why can't you tell them they're breaking the law?

CALLER:  We're not allowed.

RUSH:  By whom?

CALLER:  We're not allowed.

RUSH:  Who doesn't allow you?

CALLER:  By the companies that we have worked for.  We're not allowed to say that.  We are not lawyers. We're not allowed to portray the law to them.  We can advise them that: "Are you sure this is what you want to do?" and in the notes on their tax returns.

RUSH:  What, is your company afraid of offending them or something?  What is this?

CALLER:  Most of them are. Most of them, yes.  Absolutely they are.  Apparently social services, HRS, welfare department, they do not communicate with the IRS because here's one example.  I had a gentleman that came in, he had a Social Security number written on the corner of an envelope. He didn't even know this child's middle name which we have to have, that or the middle initial. He was on the phone making phone calls, making sure the Social Security number was right.  Now, what we found out is the person, these people... Let's say you have a lower income single mom who has three children.  Now, if she collecting welfare --

RUSH:  I gotta stop you because I have an obscene profit break here, but hold your thought there.  I want to hear the end of this.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: we want to go back to Luanne in Jacksonville, Florida.  All right, so the guy came in, he's got the Social Security number on the corner of an envelope; he doesn't know the name of the kid.

CALLER:  Correct.  Making phone calls, you know, trying to find out the correct information on the child.  And of course by that time to know you know that this isn't a child.  Of course it turns out to be his niece who moved in with him the last few months of the year.  And by law, if a child or someone has lived with you the last six months of the year you can claim them for the full year, and what these people do is, like I was saying before, you have this single parent who has a couple of children who let's say is on welfare, food stamps, and they don't have per se an income from anybody, they'll give a child basically to somebody they know to collect taxes, you know, a tax refund as they call it, which it's hard for me to say because you can't have a refund if you don't give, right?

RUSH:  I am sitting here, I'm heartbroken, stunned and shocked.

CALLER:  It's horrible.

RUSH:  America's poor are gaming and cheating the IRS.  America's poor.

CALLER:  Look at me, there are thousands and thousands of dollars that me personally saw go out, thousands and thousands to people who don't get it.  I talked to my kids telling them what I was seeing, they would say, "Yeah, mom, we see it all the time, we hear it all the time," people so-and-so over in this part, given this -- where they would give -- let's say if I was a parent, what they would do is if Joe Schmo received an extra $1500 in taxes, Joe Schmo would then split it with the person whose child it really belonged to.

RUSH:  Shocking, absolutely shocking, my friends.

CALLER:  It's horrific, it's horrific, and I don't know whether to go back and continue. I'm what you call a rule follower and I am following the rules and it's not by responsibility by law --

RUSH:  You only have one choice and that's to send these people over to ACORN.

CALLER:  Yeah.

RUSH:  I'm sure there's an ACORN office in Jacksonville.  You don't want any part of this.

CALLER:  It happens all the time.  If there's a hundred people that come in the office I guarantee you 25 of them are tax cheats, 25 of them, and they're not the upper middle and upper class.  When I get the upper middle in, they have everything laid out, every insurance policy, everything they've ever done they've got a folder full of paperwork.

RUSH:  How much do you charge these people for assisting them?

CALLER:  Well, and that's it.  It goes by a percentage of what their refund is.

RUSH:  Oh, my God, so you're a coconspirator.

CALLER:  Not me.  I pass 'em off.

RUSH:  No, but the company is.  If the company won't let you tell these people they're cheating and you go ahead and file a return, you're a coconspirator, unindicted --

CALLER:  Correct.

RUSH:  Man.

CALLER:  Not me, the company is.  I can't do it. I told them I can't do this.  I'll give them to somebody else or I refer them to somebody else.  And most people when you see that they're doing it, they won't handle it, either.  It's horrible.

RUSH:  You know, back in 1989 or '90, I did a poignant commentary on how we need to raise taxes on the poor.  We need to raise taxes on the poor.  Little did I know how poignant that was, and that's 20 years ago.  Thank you, Luanne, I appreciate it.

ABC's Charlie Gibson Claims He Hasn't Heard of ACORN Scandal
The ABC News anchor is this clueless?
Maybe not.
September 15, 2009

VIDEO at links below.

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH:  All right, let's get to ACORN.  There are developments and updates regarding ACORN.  This first, this is such a telling sound bite, this just says it all.  It happened on our 50,000-watt affiliate in Chicago, WLS, The Big 89 this morning with Don Wade and Roma, and I guess they have a regular scheduled Tuesday morning interview with Charles Gibson, the anchor of World News Tonight.  And Don Wade of WLS Chicago, The Big 89, says to Charlie Gibson, "Senate bill yesterday passes, cutting off funds to this group ACORN.  Now we got the bill passing, we got the embarrassing video of ACORN staff giving tax advice on how to set up a brothel."   You know these ACORN people are better than H&R Block?  I mean there's a great piece here, folks.  Where is this?  Oh, it's at Big Hollywood, Breitbart site, Leigh Scott.  All these fired ACORN babes, he wants to hire them to do his taxes.  These babes have shown how to evade taxes, how to get away from the IRS. This guy says these women could make more than they could ever make at ACORN by being hired by big corporations or individuals to do their tax returns.  These women at ACORN could put H&R Block out of business.  So anyway, back to Don Wade and Roma, WLS, The Big 89 Chicago, talking to Charlie Gibson, "We got this embarrassing video of ACORN staff giving tax advice, how to set up a brothel with 13-year-old hookers. It has everything you would want, corruption, sleazy action, tax funded organizations, government ties, but nobody's covering the story, Charlie.  Why?"

GIBSON:  (Laughing) I don't even know about it.  So you've got me at a loss, I don't know.  But my goodness if it's got everything including sleaziness in it we should talk about it this morning.

ROMA:  Well, I think that this is a huge issue because there's so much funding that goes into this organization. It's a multi--

GIBSON:  I know we've done some stories about ACORN before, but this one I don't know about.

ROMA:  Jake Tapper about some blogging on it.  I know he's at least blogged once on this scandal.

GIBSON:  You guys are -- you guys are really up on the -- on the website.

RUSH:  This is only the anchor of ABC's World News Tonight.  The ACORN story is a week old.  There are videos, there are now three places -- Baltimore, Washington, and Brooklyn -- where the ACORN operation has been exposed for what it is.  And you know what it really is?  You know what these ACORN people really are?  This guy Leigh Scott at BigHollywood.Breitbart.com makes a point.  They are superb capitalists.  They're out gaming the system for themselves. They're looking at capitalism, how it works and how to get themselves involved in it. I mean, they have a leftist agenda obviously but they're not going about their organization in a socialist way, all this advice is kind of interesting in a way, but here's Charlie Gibson, Charlie Gibson, the anchor at ABC's World News Tonight publicly admitting on WLS Chicago, The Big 89, that this is the first he's heard of it, and you know why? Because it's the New York Times every morning that sets the agenda for the evening newscasts.  It's been that way since Walter Cronkite, and ACORN has not been a story.

If it's not in the New York Times I'm telling you these elite leftists don't know about it.  This is incredible.  He hadn't heard about it, he's laughing about it.  He hasn't heard anything about the story.  This is a guy, he claims in his interviews with Sarah Palin, claims to be far more intelligent, far more informed, far more sophisticated -- yeah.  I find this laughable.  He didn't even know about it and you ought to see the looks on the people on the other side of the glass here in my sprawling studio complex.  They're all shocked.  I'm not shocked.  This is the Drive-By Media we're talking about.  We're talking about the most closed-minded, ignorant, if it's not in their worldview they don't know about it and they specifically tune it out.  I'm not surprised.  Look, you've got to watch Fox to see the video or look at the Internet and I'm not sure that Charlie is computer literate.  A lot of people Charlie's age just never got into computers.  He might still be using an IBM to type up his news stories.  Who knows? (interruption) What front page?  There hasn't been anything on ACORN on the front page, that's the whole point, the State-Controlled Media hasn't covered it.

In all the news sources that Charlie Gibson thinks are the news, it hasn't been covered.  And of course they don't watch Fox, and they don't watch YouTube videos.  Their producers do all the news gathering.  The producers, editors, and writers do all the news.  Charlie Gibbs, managing editor, it's all a schmo.  The whole thing is nothing but a giant PR thing to show us how worldly, important, and involved these anchors are.  They've traveled the world, they've seen the wretches, they have seen the best, they have seen the worst, their lives have been personally touched by all the horrors and they don't know diddly-squat about what's happening in their own country.  This is why I've always joked they need a visa to get into Missouri.  To them it's a foreign country.  Brooklyn's a foreign country, for crying out loud, the latest ACORN office to get busted.  Now, these ACORN babes, you stop and look at it, this brilliant tax advice. It may be illegal but they're telling people how to set up brothels and get these underage whores to be called dependents and so forth, illegally in the country and so forth.  Now, folks, I thought it was only elitist rich people who knew how to evade taxes, but this is shedding all kinds of light.  Here we have these agents for the poor who are probably better at helping people cheat on their taxes than the best tax lawyer working at GE.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH:  Did you hear Charlie Gibson say to Don Wade and Roma at WLS, The Big 89 in Chicago, "You guys are really up on those web pages. You guys are really up on our web pages."  Now, folks, just being fair here, we have to consider the possibility that Charlie is not being totally honest about not knowing about the story.  It may just be a cover.  It looks bad saying you don't know about it, but it does explain why you haven't done it, that means nobody at ABC knows about it.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: You gotta hear it again. This morning on WLS, The Big 89 in Chicago, Don Wade and Roma asked Charlie Gibson about ACORN.

(replaying of sound bite)

Now, Charlie Gibson is either pleading ignorance, incompetence, instead of bias.  He's claiming he doesn't know about this.  Now, let's examine this.  The top news guy at ABC -- this is the anchor for World News Tonight -- did not know about ACORN, which means he didn't know that the Census Bureau kicked ACORN out of the operation.  That has been news.  Did they not cover that, either, at ABC?  And Charlie Gibson didn't know that the Senate voted to stop all payments to ACORN.  Why?  Why did Charlie Gibson not know these things?  Is he too busy tracking the day-to-day activities of Sarah Palin with his reading glasses halfway down his nose?  Remember that arrogant, condescending interview he did with Sarah Palin?  He must be too busy tracking her daily movements here as a private citizen to be aware of what's happening in the country.

Do we really believe he didn't know?  Do we really believe his plea of ignorance rather than bias?  "Boy, you guys are really up on the Web page."  I, frankly, think that Roma here was quite restrained.  If I had been talking to Charlie Gibson, and he told me he didn't know about that, I would have been incredulous.  But ABC's Citadel is somewhat still in the family.  Now, from BigGovernment.com's Mike Roman: "Last week, we saw some pretty disturbing activities revealed in the undercover footage from ACORN Housing's Baltimore office. By any measure of conduct, the actions of ACORN’s employees should never have happened. It turns out the actions shouldn’t have happened for another, very simple, reason: ACORN can’t legally operate in the state of Maryland."  By the way, this is Obama's America, and I have to tell you, ACORN is Obama.  Obama is ACORN.

Just like Van Jones is Obama.  Obama trained ACORN people back in the eighties when he was community organizing.  He trained them. He had a big meeting with them during the transition period. "We're going to be involved in every one of you putting together the agenda for the next presidency of the United States." He had a meeting with ACORN. He is ACORN.  You cannot separate the two.

Now, "According to the following documents," that are attached here to the BigGovernment.com story, "ACORN, Inc. – the parent organization of all things ACORN," and they got 300 or so different organizations with different names, and then there's all ACORN International.  ACORN is freaking everywhere.  But according to the documents attached to the story here,

ACORN, Inc., "forfeited its corporate charter in Maryland in 2006. ACORN Housing forfeited its corporate charter in 2008. Any ACORN office in the state of Maryland is potentially operating illegally. The Maryland Attorney General has made noise about prosecuting the intrepid journalists who undercovered [sic] the misdeeds of ACORN employees. Perhaps he should focus instead on how ACORN was able to operate without a license in his state." Yesterday "Senator Mike Johanns (R-NE) introduced an amendment to the HUD and Transportation appropriation bill to strip ACORN of all federal funding.  A week ago, Johanns wouldn't have gotten the amendment to the floor." Ed Morrissey points this out at Hotair.com. "Today, however, after three straight days of BigGovernment.com's video exposés of ACORN offices in Washington DC, New York City, and Baltimore ... he got an impressive bipartisan showing.  The Senate passed the Johanns amendment 83-7."

Charlie Gibson didn't know this!  The senators knew. The senators knew all about it, but Charlie Gibson at ABC World News tonight didn't know any of this had happened.  Here are the seven who voted for continuing funding, federal funding of ACORN: "Dick Durbin (D-IL), Roland Burris (D-IL), Robert Casey (D-PA), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI)." So as Ed Morrissey humorously observes: "So can we assume that Illinois and Vermont are especially sympathetic to child-whoring pimp assistance?" These seven people voted to maintain.  Now, "Today House Republicans will introduce a bill that would end all federal funding to ACORN and its affiliates. Republicans are also sending a letter to President Obama on the same subject" since he is ACORN.

"The action comes after the release" of these videos and the action in the Senate yesterday.  "House Republicans point out that they have long pushed for a cutoff in government funding for ACORN. Republican leader John Boehner last year sent a letter to President Bush asking for the defunding of ACORN. There is already Republican legislation calling for the total cutoff of Housing and Urban Development Department funds to ACORN, and Rep. Darrell Issa, the ranking Republican on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, took a leading role in pushing for the Census Bureau decision." ACORN's out there, supposedly (I'll believe all this when I see it) and now defunded in the Senate but of course that has to also happen in the House.  In the meantime -- and I say to this: Bring it on, baby! Bring it on!

"Facing intensifying scrutiny after the release of several disturbing hidden camera videos...ACORN, is threatening to sue Fox News, the website Breitbart.com and the two conservative activists who produced the exposes." Bring it on, sue 'em!  Why did you fire the employees if this is all trumped up and phony?  "A lawyer for ACORN said Monday that statutes in Maryland and the District of Columbia made the undercover filming illegal and that the same laws should prohibit the rebroadcast of the tapes by the Web site BigGovernment.com, where they were first posted last week, and on Fox News... 'It is clear that the videos are doctored, edited, and in no way the result of the fabricated story being portrayed by conservative activist "filmmaker" O'Keefe...'"  Mr. O'Keefe stop calling yourself an "activist;" Call yourself a journalist from now on.

You've gotta stop calling yourself a journalist, and then you can do all you want. You're just 60 Minutes 2009.  60 Minutes is now "60 Minutes with Obama" anyway. 60 Minutes has ceded what was the role that put them on the map.  So Mr. O'Keefe, call yourself a journalist; get rid of this activist business and the world will open up to you.  So I want to see this lawsuit.  Bring it on.  Because they fired the employees.  Now, here's Leigh Scott, BigHollywood.Breitbart.com.  "I just found out that the two women featured on the undercover ACORN video posted on our sister site Big Government were fired by the community organizing group.  This is really good news.  First, it proves that the ridiculously funny and unbelievable video is real.

"At first glance, it's so over-the-top that one assumes it must be fake.  Now, we have the proof that these women really were ACORN employees and not the most talented improv actors to ever live.  Secondly, it means that these two women are now unemployed. And I want to hire them immediately. These women can navigate the tax code so well that they managed to gin up dependent child tax credits for underage El Salvadorian prostitutes.  They provided detailed instructions on how to obtain a low interest, government subsidized mortgage for a [whorehouse].  They gave clever insight into laundering a pimp's take of prostitute earnings into a campaign account for a would be Democratic politician.

"I look at them, as an independent film producer, and think; 'must hire.'  With these two on my side, imagine what I could accomplish.  My tax credit revenue would triple.  My financing schemes would abandon foreign pre-sales and network television deals and embrace government grants and subsidies.  Bureaucratic and confusing union paperwork would dissolve in their capable hands.  At the end of the first show, SAG and IATSE [the unions out there] would owe me money.  Ladies, whatever ACORN was paying, I'll double it!  And I'll give you gross points.  Joking aside ... this little video tells us a lot.  It's not simply that ACORN is a corrupt and shady organization ... we already knew that.  That's no more a revelation than the fact that Lindsay Lohan has some issues with [adult beverages].

"No, it shows us that the default mode of human nature is capitalism.  There is no way around it.  These women were supposedly working to benefit their community.  A noble and selfless pursuit.  What they were really adept at is gaming the system.  Just like an independent, scrappy filmmaker.  At the root of Communism and Socialism is the undeniable truth that there is always someone at the top.  Capitalism rewards ingenuity, smarts, and hard work.  Socialism rewards cronyism, manipulation, and collective thought.  If the politicians in Washington really believed that we should all 'pitch in' as their policies dictate, why wouldn't those millionaires donate their federal salaries to charity?  If they were really true believers they would live like monks, sleeping in their office and shopping at Goodwill.

"Instead, they're eating Kobe steaks and buying ... jets!  Get real.  I've always been baffled by the fact that people who rabidly embrace Darwinism over Christian Doctrine don't see Natural Selection at work in the political, economic, and social realms. That seems backwards to me. Shouldn't the followers of Jesus, not Darwin, be the ones who push for all of us to be 'our brother's keepers?' I can understand how a Christians can interpret their beliefs to gel with Ben Franklin's 'God helps those who help themselves,' but I can't for the life of me figure out how 'people of science and reason' have adopted the belief system that they have.  Communism and Socialism fly in the face of natural law.  All that I can conclude is that the Socialists and Communists have selected their ideology as a means to consolidate power and money."

"It's a way of getting money and power without having to be ingenious, without having to be entrepreneurial, and without having to get a job, for crying out loud!  You just freaking "fund-raise," or you live on federal grants.  "They are averse to hard work and true entrepreneurialism and have found a shortcut to wealth and control.  Communism is Capitalism for schemers.  ACORN," in their own little universe, "is no different than AIG." Both exist to game the system while pretending to do something else. "As a side note," the writer says, "I would like to further commend the two women in the video.  We 'typical white folks' get a sort of racist vibe from the whole ACORN thing, so I applaud those two African-American women for their treatment of the Caucasian pimp and his ho.  I can only hope that white ACORN workers show the same respect for all the black hustlers and trick-turners who seek their assistance.  So ladies, consider me impressed.  From one Capitalist to another, ready to work the system to our benefit, please consider my offer."  I need your tax expertise.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH:  You know this disease that Charlie Gibson has, he didn't know about the ACORN story.  Last Friday, Robert Gibbs, the most competent, I mean the best press secretary the White House ever had, country's ever had, was asked what he thought of the upcoming rally on Saturday.  And Gibbs said last Friday that the White House was unaware of the rally.  He didn't know who the group was.  Gibbs, it isn't a group.  They are the American people that showed up protesting you and your administration and your policies.  Gibson didn't know about ACORN, and Gibbs didn't know about the rally last Saturday.

An Update on Barry's Hut Brother
Obama's Kenyan family needs help.
Will Rush step in?

September 15, 2009

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Ventura, California, Dale, hello, and welcome.  Great to have you with us.  Hello.

CALLER:  Mega dittos, Rush.  It's a pleasure to talk to you.

RUSH:  Thank you, sir.  You bet.

CALLER:  I'm just wondering if everybody's forgetting the fact that about a year or so ago Kanye West blew up and went into a tirade about the fact that the music awards were racist because he didn't get one.  And I shudder to think that if it was a black artist receiving an award up there, he wouldn't have interrupted her.

RUSH:  Yeah, okay, I'll grant that but he's entitled because all white people are racist.  We are learning this from the mainstream media.  Of course Newsweek magazine says that by six months white kids can distinguish differences in skin color of people and they become racists and their parents can't do anything about it.

CALLER:  Well, Rush, I think the racist here is Kanye.  He needs to look close in the mirror when he takes his time off.

RUSH:  Kanye can't be the racist.  He doesn't have power to be a racist.  Jesse Jackson once said that African-Americans cannot possibly be racist because even if they are they don't have the power to implement their racism or to wield it over anybody.

CALLER:  Could I make one more quick point about the media?

RUSH:  Yeah, besides, I mean if you're Kanye West and here's some 19-year-old country western virgin, and what's she doing on the show in the first place when you got somebody like Beyonce out there, it's all totally understandable if you look at it from Kanye's worldview.

CALLER:  Yes.  Could I make one quick point about the media, Rush?

RUSH:  Yeah.

CALLER:  The hypocritical yellow journalists in the media are conveniently forgetting while they're vilifying us as racists, that they went to great lengths in the campaign to let us know that Barack was half black and half white.  So are we now racist for opposing one of our own?

RUSH:  Well, did the State-Controlled Media make that point?

CALLER:  Yes.

RUSH:  I thought it was Obama himself that was doing that with his typical white racist grandmother.

CALLER:  And it was being reported by the media.

RUSH:  Well, I guess it was.  And they did do the 'Magic Negro' piece in the Los Angeles Times.  By the way, is Obama's brother still living in a hut?  Have we got an update on that?  I think he's still in the hut, right?  Hut, hut.  "Hut, Sweet Hut," Obama's brother still in the hut.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I've got a good question here, I have a serious question, stop everything for a minute, I have a serious question I want everybody to consider.  Newsweek magazine is essentially saying this racism is inborn.  I mean their cover story is all about children, white children being born racist.  I mean that's the cover.  Did you not hear me discussing this yesterday, Dawn?  No.  No, no, no, no.  A long time ago they did we're all socialists now.  September 14th cover, children born racist, like TIME Magazine, boys and girls are actually born different?  This is white kids are born racist and at six months these babies are able to distinguish skin color differences and they become racists and their parents can't do anything about it.

Now, if racism is thus inborn, as Newsweek magazine says, not me, now, Newsweek magazine says, and if homosexuality is inborn, it's not a choice, then I, ladies and gentlemen, El Rushbo admit to being confused, which doesn't often happen.  I'm Mr. Clarity here but I admit to being confused here.  If homosexuality being inborn is what makes it acceptable why does racism being inborn not make racism acceptable?  I'm sorry, I mean this is the way my mind works.  Apparently now we don't choose racism, we just are racists, we're born that way.  We don't choose it.  So shouldn't it be acceptable, this is according to the way the left thinks about things.  Seriously.  Well, no, sensitivity training cannot cure racism.  If sensitivity training could cure racism there wouldn't be any.  How much sensitivity training have we had about racism starting with the Civil War?  You can't get more sensitive than the Civil War and following we've had the Voting Rights Act, we've had the Civil Rights Act.  Eric Holder says we have to have a national conversation about race.  We've never stopped the national conversation about race.  I mean the sensitivity to this is, it can't get any higher.

So if homosexuality is not a choice, if you're born that way, and if racism is not a choice, if you're born that way, then as homosexuality, well, it's acceptable because you're born that way, you can't criticize it, then how can racism be criticized?  We need to ask the editors and the writers at Newsweek this question because they of course have posited the theory.  I just casually off the top of my fertile mind moments ago asked if Obama's brother is still in the hut.  During the break I got this story.  It is from Kenya, September the 13th, it's in the Boston Globe: "'African Kin Seek Obama’s Help -- But president offers no special aid or access.'  After Barack Obama was elected to the US Senate in 2004, a delegation from the remote African village where his father was raised journeyed to Washington, seeking financial help. But Obama offered them advice, not money.  Now that Obama has moved to the White House, expectations of financial benefit have grown even greater in this tiny hamlet where water is still delivered to thatched huts on the backs of donkeys." The village where his father was raised, water still delivered to thatched huts on the backs of donkeys there.

Nicholas Rajula, a businessman in the village, said, "There are still those who are waiting for him to send millions." So is his brother.  "Dreams alone seem to be sustaining those counting on an economic boom in this rural corner of western Kenya, near Lake Victoria, where the American president’s father - also named Barack Obama - grew up and where many of his relatives remain. In Kogelo, the village where Barack Sr. was raised, there is no restaurant or post office to speak of." What's that mean, no post office to speak of?  Means there's a post office, but it's unspeakable?  What is it, an ACORN whorehouse?  I mean what the hell?  Why can't you speak about the post office in this village?  "Two hours from the nearest city, it is not on most maps.  Still, the price of land here has skyrocketed because of rampant speculation about an Obama family museum that the Kenyan Ministry of Tourism has promised to build."

Oh, my God, I don't believe this.  They've been waiting since 2004 for millions, Obama sent them not a penny and already land prices are skyrocketing on the dream there's going to be an Obama family museum in Kenya?  "And there have been some modest, but tangible, signs of progress that seem tied to the village’s new notoriety. Within a week of Obama’s election victory last year, the government began to pave the main road to town. It also brought in electricity and water lines to Obama’s step-grandmother’s compound." Wait a second.  They brought in electricity and water lines, one each to Obama's step-grandmother's compound, not to the whole town, just to Obama's step-grandmother.  How in the hell do you have a compound in a village that's not on the map where donkeys still deliver water to thatched huts?  (interruption) Okay, three hut compound.

"Some relatives have also set up foundations, trying to raise money for development projects using the Obama name. And strangers are suddenly a common sight in the market, attracted by safari companies that advertise heritage tours about the first African-American US president. A tourist hotel is planned.  But what is missing is a direct infusion of cash from Obama or the US government, say local residents and members of the extended Obama family, some of whom say they have relayed funding requests through e-mails and letters to Washington. That expectation might come as a surprise in the United States, where such gifts are not an obligation and Obama is not considered a particularly wealthy man." Well, ACORN is. "But in Kenya, where politicians are often judged by how much financial help they funnel to family and tribe, the lack of cash donations from the president has caused some consternation."

"The Kogelo businessman who funded the delegation’s trip to Washington in 2005, said Obama encouraged the group - which included his own uncle - to form self-help organizations and apply for funding through official channels, such as USAID.  'There is no money that comes from his pocket,' Rajula said.  A White House official said: 'The president’s policy of pointing aid requests to official channels is consistent with his message of good governance.'"  So here's the headline again: "African Kin Seek Obama's Help -- But president offers no special aid or access." But he is his brother's keeper.  That's what he says.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH:  Folks, I got a solution to the whole problem of tourism in Kenya.  I've been thinking about this.  By the way, you heard me describe the village where Obama's dad grew up and where relatives still remain. And the great-grandmother, the step-grandmother, whatever, has a compound that are just now running water line to it and electricity.  This place sounds like a green paradise.  They got water being delivered by donkeys and people lived in thatched huts. There's no electricity.  I mean, man, this place sounds like exactly what they're trying to turn this country into via "green" policy.  The place must be paradise.  Land values are skyrocketing, waiting on the forthcoming Obama family museum.  You know how to get that thing built?

Here's what the village elders ought to do.  They ought to say to the birthers in this country that they've got Obama's birth certificate and that they will put it on display if somebody donates the money to start the building of the family museum.  Would that not be cool? The birthers could build the Obama family museum! All the Kenyans would have to do is say, "Hey, the first exhibit will be the birth certificate!"  Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Oh, I got a quick question, folks, serious question here.  I'm still struck by the story that ran over the weekend the Boston Globe about Obama's relatives in the green paradise Kenyan village waiting, they've been waiting since 2004 for a little money from Obama.  He's got family that live there in huts.  If you're Obama why -- do you realize, just send ten grand over there, it's probably ten times the annual village budget!  Do you realize what ten grand could do?  Why not send the ten grand and get rid of these stories that you are a cheapskate and a skinflint?  Why not do it?  No, I'm serious.  Do you not take care of your family when they're in trouble?  And this bunch has been waiting for five years.  This bunch, his step-grandmother, is just now having a water line run to her hut compound and an electricity line.  Water is still delivered by donkey to thatched huts, to Obama's family members in Kenya!  Why not just send ten grand?

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: You know what I'm thinking of doing?  Obama's not going to send any money to the village.  It just isn't going to happen.  Yeah.  Let me think about this.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH:  I can just envision here the Rush Limbaugh Wing of the Obama Family Museum.  I mean, people that donate get their names put on things, right?  Like, you know, "the Mervin Snerdley Heart Attack Center at Presbyterian United Methodist Century Hospital" or whatever. It's true. You get your name on things.  (interruption) Mmm-hmm.  No, no, no.  My name would not go in the hut.  I would not tolerate my name on a hut.  I want one of the donkeys named after me.  I want one of the donkeys delivering water to become the Rush Limbaugh Water Express. Mmmm. (interruption)  No, I don't think that would work.  It opens it up to too much mockery.  But I'm seriously thinking about that.  We just need to find the channels necessary to do this.  The money is not a problem, unlike it apparently is for Obama.

Maybe, maybe what Obama could do is bring some of his ACORN buddies into the White House and get some tax advice on how he could send 'em the money and get a whole refund from the IRS for doing so.  Maybe set up... What's that place out in Vegas, the Bunny Ranch?   You know, if you set up the whole village as a brothel, you know, using ACORN funding -- I mean it doesn't have to actually be one, you just say it is. These babes at ACORN are professionals in getting... (interruption)  I don't want to go through Aunt Zeituni. I don't know that Aunt Zeituni would be forthcoming with me.  We'll have to go through... I know people.  Don't worry about that. I know people.  I know ways to get this done: The Rush Limbaugh Wing of the Obama Family Museum.  What can it possibly cost to, you know, break ground and staying laying the foundation?  And the Obama family museum has to... You know, it can't be an architectural disaster.

It has to look like the rest of the town so you're basically talking about building a hut, a multihut museum with thatched rooves. How expensive can that be? (interruption)  Yeah, and because they've got an unspeakable post office.  The guy writing at it story in the Boston Globe says the post office... What was his word? What was his term?  "Nothing to speak of."  What's unspeakable about a post office?  No priority mail. Well, I don't think anybody sends mail to the place anyway, but don't worry. We have ways of getting this done.  I do my share of charitable giving.  Most of it never is known.  This would be known.  Yeah.  All right.  My mind is exploding here, folks. The neurons are firing.  I have ideas bursting forth, my skulk barely contain them.

Let's go back to the phones.  Deborah in, what is this, Boswell?  Doswell, Virginia, hi welcome to the EIB Network.

CALLER:  Hey, Rush. If you remember me, I'm the Barbaro lady -- and, as you know, I deal in facts, not suspicions.  And I have three kids in their mid-twenties, and more than 25 years ago I learned through the research of companies like Johnson & Johnson and articles published in the Journal of the American Medical Association that newborns and young children respond to images that are presented in black and white.  It has to do with the development of the cones and rods in their eyeballs.  And they first respond to black and white images, so newborns and six-month-olds are not racist. They're simply responding to how their eyes develop.

RUSH:  Wrong.  Newsweek says they're racists.

CALLER:  Well, I'm sorry, Rush, but --

RUSH:  And Newsweek is the Obama administration.  Newsweek is State-Controlled Media.  And they say by six months it's too late and the parents can't do anything to stop it.

CALLER:  Well, that's not the case because my kids looked at black and white images to attune themselves to being able to move their eyes.

RUSH:  Yeah, yeah, yeah.  Yeah, but, see, here's the thing: What's black to somebody is white to somebody else.

CALLER:  Well, can I say one other thing?

RUSH:  Yeah.

CALLER:  Okay.  Well, unlike Obama, through the Christian Children's Fund I support a young lady in Angola whose name is Evelina. Through my contributions her family has been able to put a new roof on their house, chairs and other things in their home and feed the young lady and educate her.

RUSH:  Right.  And what did all this cost, 24 bucks, the same price of Manhattan.

CALLER:  There you go.

RUSH:  Really, when you talk about these countries it doesn't take that much money. That's the point.

CALLER:  No, it doesn't.  And you can make a significant difference in their lives.

RUSH:  Huge.  I mean, the percentage increase is incalculable to them.

CALLER:  Right.

RUSH:  It's like winning a lottery.  That's why we'd have to send those lottery babes over. You know, the people that counsel lottery winners. We'd have to send somebody overly to make sure that they don't blow the donation in the first six months.

CALLER:  Right.  And so neither are our children racists nor are we racist because there are so many people who contribute through organizations like the Christian Children's Fund to countries like Africa that, you know, Obama doesn't have any leg to stand on.

RUSH:  Well, I don't know.  I know what you're saying sounds right, that we're a decent, good country; but I'm hearing every day that we're racist.  I mean, Newsweek says it. Obama says it. The Drive-By Media is saying that any opposition to Obama or criticism is racist.  Maybe we just have to face it: We're born that way.  It ought to be some... It's just like I said, I mean it's a serious thing we gotta consider.  If homosexuality, you're born that way, it's inborn, not a choice and that is why it must be acceptable, then why must not racism be acceptable by the same definition, since it's inborn?  We're born that way.  We don't choose.  If we don't choose it, it can't possibly be a bad thing.  Right?  Thanks for the call out there, Deborah.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH:  I'm still pondering here, ladies and gentlemen, because it is a big mystery.  Why it is that Obama refuses to help his brother in Kenya living in the hut and why the family has been waiting with their hands out for four five years, since 2004, since he was first elected to the US Senate. Not a penny, nothing.  And we're sitting here trying to think, "Why?"  And one thing is obviously there's no magic in helping family members overseas.  Maybe it's racism.  No, no, no. I'm serious.  Obama is half white. Maybe his half-white side is to blame here.  The family's... Well, look, I'm at the bottom of the barrel here trying to come up with logical explanations here.  I'm just going on Newsweek, that we're all born racists -- and Obama had "a typical white grandmother."  Those are his own words.  Maybe the half-white side's winning out here.  There's a dual battle going on inside the cranium there.

Obama Talks to Stimulated Buddies
The president works himself up into a Marxist sweat.
September 15, 2009

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Tom in Williamsburg, Virginia, you're up next on the EIB Network.  Hi.

CALLER:  Rush, it seems to me that ACORN is just replacing the mob.  They're doing the work, it seems, that the mob refuses to do, just like you're doing the work that Charlie Gibson refuses to do.

RUSH:  Well, except the mob is still there.  What ACORN's doing -- your analogy is somewhat close -- what ACORN's doing is the work Obama is doing, but they got caught.  You know, Obama is ACORN.

CALLER:  Right.

RUSH:  Obama inspires ACORN.  Oh, by the way, I am watching -- I'm not listening, of course, because I am hosting the program -- but I am watching Obama in Pittsburgh and somebody is going to catch hell because he has no powder on and the lights there are reflecting off his forehead.  This is not godlike, this does not look good 'cause it looks like he's got the Nixon sweat going.  Looks like he's glistening out there.  Look at the way the lights are reflecting.  It's especially bad up there on PMSNBC, which is, of course, his official outlet.  But he finished a speech in Ohio to the autoworkers.  Now he's in Pittsburgh at the AFL-CIO.  So you could say ACORN's a mob.  I thought we were the mob, wait a minute.  I thought we were the unruly mob.  Well, regardless.  ACORN is doing the work Obama is doing.  It's all one happy family.  And this is Obama's America.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Obama is in Pittsburgh now talking with autoworkers.  That was in Ohio. Now he's talking to AFL-CIO members.  This is really cool.  Obama's out talking to the groups that already got stimulated.  He's talking to groups that already got their stimulus cash.  He's talking to them about health care.  Now, listen to this.  This is from the State-Controlled Associated Press. "The events are designed to be heavy on working class appeal in hopes of boosting the White House credentials with the middle class voters so crucial to the president's economic agenda."  Is that tone deaf or what?  Do you think going out and making a speech to people who have already got stimulus money and the health care plan is basically to ensure their health care plans... Do they really think that the way to get middle class support is to go out and kowtow to unions?

The middle class is paying for all this! The middle class is paying for these people who have already been stimulated.  Meanwhile, the shovel-ready jobs are still shovel and they're still ready and nobody's working on them.  Stimulus payments have slowed except to Obama's buddies to whom he's now speaking.  And they think Obama is speaking to his buddies is going to inspire the middle class to get back on board?  And try this from the New York Times: "For Obama, a Chance to Reform the Street is Fading."  Now, "reforming the Street" in this case means Wall Street.  "After bailing out most of them, Obama warns them not to expect it next time.  He also warned those on Wall Street cannot resume taking risks without regard for consequences and expect that next time American taxpayers will be there to break their fall."  So you're going to get more government oversight as if they were outside observers in the first place.  This is typical.

"Hey, we didn't know what was going on. We're spectators here and you guys are gaming the system and you guys are unfairly paying yourselves bonuses."  It's already very highly regulated.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: You want to hear some Marxism?  There's no other way to describe this.  I'll let you hear some Marxism.  This is Obama this afternoon in Pittsburgh at the AFL-CIO convention talking to his friends who he's already bailed out.  Here's a portion of what he said.

OBAMA:  And the fundamental test of this century, of our time, is whether we will heed this lesson, whether we will let America become a nation of the very rich and the very poor, of the haves and the have-nots, or whether we will remain true to the promise of this country and build a future where the success of all of us is built on the success of each of us.  (applause)  That's the future I want to build.  That's the future the AFL-CIO wants to build.

RUSH:  Now, folks, that's straight Marxism and it's not true.  Build a future where the success of all of us is built on the success of each of us?  I mean that's the fundamental test of the century, is spread the wealth around, redistribute the wealth.  But the fact of the matter is your success doesn't depend on anybody else's success!  It doesn't.  This is proven every day in this country.  Your success does not depend on everybody else. It might depend on some others but it doesn't depend on everybody.  We've proven this.  But let's take these words.  "The success of all of us is built on the success of each of us."  He wants to build a nation while his family members live in squalor in a village where water is still delivered by donkey to the thatched roof huts in which they live.  Here's the next sound bite we have from his remarks to the AFL-CIO.

OBAMA:  I refuse to let America go back to the culture of irresponsibility and greed that made it possible.  Back to an economy with soaring CEO salaries and shrinking middle class incomes, back to the days when banks made reckless decisions that hurt Wall Street and main street alike, we're not going to go back to those days.  It would be bad for unions, bad for the middle class, and bad for the United States of America.  We're not turning back.  We're moving forward.

RUSH:  This guy's becoming a laughingstock.  This guy's becoming an insane laughingstock.  He has destroyed the middle class single-handedly.  Do you know what the unemployment rate is?  And it's not Wall Street's fault.  It's Obama's fault, it's Obama's policies' faults.  Unemployment rate is 9.7%, it's headed toward 10%.  None of what he said would happen because of his policies has happened.  And, by the way, this from Reuters:  "Some of the largest U.S. banks will remain caught in the government's financial bailout program for months, as officials do not expect to grant the next wave of exit approvals until near the end of the year." So Obama is publicly sending a message that banks are shedding government help, and yet he won't let 'em get out of the government, he won't let them get back and be independent.  Then he comes out with this nonsense that we're not going to go back to the culture of irresponsibility and greed that made it possible, back to an economy with soaring CEO salaries and shrinking middle class incomes.  He's taking care of both.  Nobody's incomes are going to grow when this guy gets through, nobody's!  This is a dangerous guy, but he's becoming a laughingstock.  Let's listen to even more.

OBAMA:  That's how we'll grow our great American middle class. (woman screaming, "I love you!") I love you, too, sister.  Although it sounds like you been hollering too much.  Your toes all -- (laughing)  We're going to grow our middle class with policies that benefit you, the American worker.

RUSH:  Pray tell how does government do that?  How do you grow the middle class with policies that benefit you?  The only answer to that is you start taxing the achievers and you give it to people like this woman.  "I love you!"  "I love you, too, sister."  And here's the final sound bite, whipping them into a frenzy over health care.

OBAMA:  When are we going to say enough is enough?  How many more workers have to lose their coverage?  How many more families have to go into the red for a sick loved one?  How much longer are we going to have to wait?  It can't wait.  (crowd chanting, "We can't wait.")  We can't wait.  My friends, we have talked this issue to death year after year, decade after decade.  That's why I said last week, before a joint session of Congress, I said the time for bickering is over.  The time for games has passed.  Now is the time for action.  Now is the time to deliver on health insurance reform.

RUSH:  Keep talking, Barack, buddy.  The more you talk, the more the polls go against you.  Keep making speeches like this to your buddies, largely held accountable by the American people for many of the problems that we have here today.  Find a business in trouble and you will find a union involved.

A Great Idea for Fox News Sunday
A panel of shrinks to discuss the narcissist president .
September 15, 2009

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Ladies and gentlemen, Obama is making three speeches today.  He has now booked on Letterman and five Sunday shows.  He's doing every Sunday show but Fox News Sunday.  I kid you not.  Three speeches today, and speaking of the speech today, why is this guy having to whip up support like this with his best supporters who have already been stimulated with stimulus money?  Why is he giving this kind of speech now?  The tone, the need to talk to a union crowd, is he down to just the union kook thugs that will cheer him now?  Does he think he's losing them, too?  There's nothing bipartisan about what he's doing.  I mean this is incredible.  This is like Castro.  I'm not saying this halfheartedly or lackadaisically.  Five television shows this Sunday, Letterman he's booked on, three speeches today.  You know what I would do?  You know what I would do if I were Fox News Sunday?  I would get a shrink. I would go get a psychiatrist.  I'd have a panel of psychiatrists with the topic being, "Why does Obama need to be on television every minute of every day?"  There has never been a president like this.  This need, this hunger to be on television every minute, to be on the cover of every magazine, this is a lust that is sick!  This is like Castro.

Castro gives five-minute speeches occasion or five-hour speeches, Obama is doing the same thing today in three different locations, a total of five hours of speeches or what have you to his buddies.  And when you listen to the sound bites we played, a campaign speech to union supporters.  Odd.  Odd speech, odd tone at this point in time.  "We can't wait, the time is now."  And not for four years we're going to implement this, not for four years, we gotta get it done now.  And then the chants coming along.  I mean I'm reminded of things I don't want to mention here, when I hear these crowds.  Five Sunday shows, every one of them but Fox, and Letterman, which, of course, that's going to be a kiss-ass episode.  That's gonna induce vomiting.  All those other Sunday shows are going to be the same thing, they will be vomit-inducing.  People are going to be hurling all over the country on Sunday morning when they watch this garbage.

And, meanwhile, over on Fox, you know, I'd go out, I'd get Jackie Mason on there and Raoul Felder and a panel of shrinks, a panel of psychiatrists, to analyze why, and clearly state, "Look, we haven't seen the president as a patient, but we are highly trained in the field of neuropsychosis.  And we do want to endeavor to explain here just why this man has this unquenchable thirst and lust to be on television all the time."  Especially why he has to do this when it's known that the more he's on TV the worse his numbers get.  You know, as a subtopic I'd have the shrinks explore also why it is that Obama refuses to help his family living in a village where water is still delivered on donkey back.  His family has been waiting for money since 2004.  He's taking money from everybody else and giving it to everybody else, but not to his family, the brother George Obango Onyango Obama living in the hut, six by nine.  He hasn't even sent a sign, "Hut, Sweet Hut."

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Anyway, that's my idea.  That's what I think Fox ought to do.  I would love to be on Fox this Sunday -- and  I'm going to be in Washington, but I can't do the show, and I'm not a psychiatrist anyway, although I could explain.

With the other O on the tube so much, how can Oprah compete?

I wonder if she has Buyer’s Remorse yet? Probably not. Her cash is secure in off-shore accounts.

Wonder if she got the news today that soon Government will OWN 48% of private businesses in America? Pretty scary.

(See Michelle Bachmann, R, MN thread...)

Re: Oprah. When she first started, I really liked her show. It truly was full of helpful info, and her book club picks were awesome reading and put a lot of unread authors on the map.

Now, it’s either all about her, or about sex, and some of her shows really border on Jerry Springer-ville. Blech!

She’s been on nearly 25 years and I think I’ve watched a total of two hours of her in the past 20.

She lost me long ago, but of course her support of 0bama was the final nail in the coffin. Pity.
