A woman thought a store clerk ripped her off, so she punched him and attacked him with scissors. Only later did she discover that she'd been wrong. But when she returned to the store to apologize, police were waiting.

This is someone who has experienced little or no consequences from bad decisions in her life. To physically assault someone and then expect everything to be OK after a quick apology is an indication of a dysfunctional upbringing.
