Days after the shooting death of anti-abortion activist James Pouillon, some abortion opponents are asking why abortion rights supporters havent condemned the slaying.
Harlan Drake has been charged in the deaths of Pouillon, a 63-year-old retired autoworker who was known locally for wielding signs depicting aborted fetuses, and another man Friday in Owosso, Mich. Police say Drake, 33, intended also to kill a third man.
According to the Associated Press, prosecutors say Drake had been irritated by Pouillons protests, but police have said little about what might have led Drake to kill, other than that he had a grudge against the men.
President Barack Obama condemned the killing on Sunday. But over at Politics Daily, Jeffrey Weiss finds Obamas comment to be too little, too late, and wonders about the silence of other supporters of abortion rights.
He compares the relative quiet to the reaction that followed the killing in May of Dr. George Tiller, the Wichita physician long targeted for performing abortions, allegedly by an anti-abortion activist.

‘cause the abortion boosters are dirty rotten rats when it comes to this kind of thing
because the pro-death crowd is happy that this innocent man is now dead.
Because he was pro life, thusly the silence.
Which merely exposes their hypocrisy further, if aborting a child is a natural act then what difference if a pro life advocate is murdered?
The concept is the same, but they do not have the intellectual courage to admit it.
The value of human life is VERY relative to leftists.
How did this happen? He was in a gun-free school zone.
I haven’t seen that photo before with the Obama sticker. There must be some story behind it. There’s no way that this man who spent over a decade educating people about abortion could support Mr. Infanticide.
He was guilty of protesting against abortion—so his death doesn’t matter. A bit like when a young man in Todd Co., KY, was shot dead in 1994 by four black men because he had the Confederate flag flying from his pickup truck—because he liked that flag his death was considered no big loss...the important point for the public was to be against the Confederate flag, just like for the media no opposition to abortion is considered legitimate.
...meaning guns freely used by criminals, but not by law-abiding citizens.
If Mr Pouillion was, say, Mumia The Cop Killer, the pro-aborts would be whining about it...
Pro-Aborts only support life when its a criminal. Innocent children, pro-life Americans....they are expendable to the Pro-Aborts
I really don't know, but given what was probably on the poster, I wonder if the sticker wasn't not to support Obama but to associate Obama with abortion. If that was the intent, though, I can see confusion ensuing.
