Girl faces deportation over vaccine (Gardasil)
UPI ^ | Sept. 12, 2009 at 7:19 AM | Staff

Posted on 09/14/2009 11:22:07 PM PDT by Paleo Conservative

An adopted teen who has lived in Port St. Joe, Fla. since she was 3 faces possible deportation to England for refusing a vaccination, she and her mother say.

Simone Davis, 17, said she has no need for the vaccine Gardasil, which guards against the sexually transmitted human papillomavirus virus, because she is not sexually active, ABC News reported.

But the U.S. government requires female immigrants between the ages of 11 and 26 to receive Gardasil shots before they can become citizens.

Simone was abandoned as a baby in England and adopted at 3 by her paternal grandmother, Jean Davis, who married an American and moved to Port St. Joe, Fla.

Jean Davis started applying for citizenship for Simone nearly 10 years ago, ABC said.

As a devout Christian who has taken a virginity pledge, Simone argues she is in no danger of getting cervical cancer and sees no reason to get the vaccine. American-born girls are encouraged, but not required, to get the vaccine.

Simone and Jean Davis sought a waiver on moral and religious grounds, but were turned down. They have 30 days to appeal the ruling. Without citizenship, Simone can be sent back to England, ABC said.

"I kind of feel like they may be experimenting with immigrants to see how we will react and then give the vaccine to citizens," Simone said. "If it is such a great vaccine, why isn't it mandatory for everyone?"

The boy in the picture above your post has ears but he does not hear and he has eyes, yet he does not see.

I ask you this, the next time you read an article about anchor babies around here I want you to log all the pleads for due process in that thread that you can.

You can start with this thread:

Please tell me as soon as you find the post pleading for due process....

Do you see the anxiety people are having for family seperation in that thread?

It’s like Dane isn’t an American.

It's hard to appreciate your country when you post from your mother's basement and she pays all your expenses.

Dane will grow out of his/her Che loving, Marxist leaning ideology when he/she has to make a living.

What you don’t think that the parents of “anchor” babies are gaming the system? Shouldn’t primary care-givers be permitted all the legal opportunities available to them to stay with their children?

Dane,

You're comparing apples to oranges. The adoptive parents are in the U.S. legally. They brought this adopted child into the U.S. legally.

The criminal invaders you love so much jump the line and enter illegally.

My wife is from a foreign country. She entered the U.S. legally.

I know you won't "get it," but I had to try anyway.

Now please get out of your mother's basement and find something productive to do.

Simple solution ... Withdraw the request for citizenship

this is no longer America... We are now Amerika, home of the wonton and undeserving. Hopefully we will be able to snatch the dream out of hell before the country is to far gone... Which, sadly, may already be too late

besides, illegals in the US get all the benefits and pay no taxes... So why bother anyhow?

Your arguement is full of holes and assumptions.

So by the standard of your arguement the only criteria to stay indefinately is that the individual enters legally and has an anchor to maintain the status.

So would if a hispanic couple with a wife that was 8 1/2 monthss pregnant were to enter the country legally and had their child here. Should they be permitted to extend their stay indefinately based on the fact that their child is a citizen?

In both cases you have individuals that are fully aware of the law but are willfully pushing it’s envelope?

Would you make the same arguement for the couple whoms stay is about to expire, that there status be maintained indefinately?

Your childish attacks add nothing to your arguement. But I’m sure they make you feel more secure about your... lacking areas...

Not only that, but did you catch Bernie Goldberg on Hannity tonight? He said that the public is fed up with the race name calling, that we don’t care about it anymore... ...and he was right.

I first noticed this with the whole Gates and Beer Summit thing. Gates and Obama played the race card and it backfired. First time I'm aware of even the most inappropriate use of the card didn't work.

With O's election I think the card lost a whole bunch of its usefulness. It will take the race-baiters a while to realize this, though .

She refuses to obey the law of the land

The law of the land? Show me this law? All women in the United States are required to use this pharmaceutical product. I don't believe it is the law of thew land, but I couldn't support such a Soviet law. I answer to a higher authority.

Shortly before Dane got the ZOT, someone asked Jim Robinson his opinion on one of Dane's posts.

Mr Robinson replied, "The poster is an idiot."

It was sad, really. Mr Robinson gave Dane a lot of chances and really didn't want to ban the poster.

However, some never learn.

Remember freedom my fellow citizens? Liberals have stolen it from you. Under the FALSE pretense of saving us from ourselves (code for justifying their failed and immoral world view) they demand you take things that you do not need. Especially at the age we are speaking of...ALL THE WHILE crying and whining about how its “MY BODY” when they are busy murdering babies in the name of their selfishness and convenience.

Liberals...the REAL baby killers.

Please tell me as soon as you find the post pleading for due process....

Do you see the anxiety people are having for family seperation in that thread?

Different set of circumstances.

1.The mother was an illegal alien who was deported.

2. The daughters were vouched for by a Texan and so therefore they were allowed to stay.

3. That particular story is about illegal immigration.

4. The English child is not an anchor baby. The grandmother adopted her granddaughter. The grandmother did not illegally immigrate to the US in order to have a child to serve as an anchor baby.

I don't think you have the first clue about the definition of an anchor baby. You appear to be under the misunderstanding that any child not born in the USA somehow qualifies as an anchor baby.

If you really think the child in this article is an anchor baby then why in the world has the grandmother spent 10 years attempting to get legal citizenship for her grandchild. That's not exactly hiding the child in order that she not be deported.

Based upon your posts on this thread I believe you should be deported to the country your ancestors immigrated from.

By the way, I need no assignments from someone who is incapable of reading and understanding sets of different circumstances. After all, the grandmother in this particular story is an illegal immigrant. Go read the story you chose for me to read and please feel free to point out any similarities in legal status of the guardians.

OK — Nine out of ten freepers say you are a certified lunatic. Are you happy now?

Her skin is the wrong color to live here free as a bird and suck off of welfare and be illegal alien

Immigration laws are very very selectively enforced. There are tens of thousand of diseased illegal aliens who live care-free in Los Angeles. The law will never bother them

Quite a contrast to this legal immigrant who is in violation of nothing. Her case is in court.
