Senator Lamar Alexander remarked on President Obama's use of czars in his administration: "According to news accounts, there are 32 or 34 so-called czars in the Obama White House. Respected voices in the SenateSenator Byrd and Senator Hutchison, a senior Democrat and a senior Republicanhave pointed out that these czars are an affront to the Constitution. Theyre antidemocratic. They are a poor example of a new era of transparency which was promised to this country. They are a poor way to manage the government and they seem to me to be the principal symptom of this administrations eight-month record of too many Washington takeovers.

The czars are another baby step towards dictatorship, that one day the blowhards of the media will champion. The center is not holding, primarily because the people in charge of America’s finance have looted us blind.

Wow. He actually made a derogatory comment. He got it pretty bad last week from FReepers across the country. It might have done some good to give him some hell.

By what law or ordinance does Obama have the power to appoint all these paid, un-vetted czars in the first place? Are they all just getting in under his rights to have his own “advisers”? They are being paid by tax dollars, they are given office space and staff, they are given access to information (secret?), they are given authority. How many advisers does a president get or need anyway?
C’mon, Congress, we the people demand some answers!

The drycleaner accidentally put starch in Lamar’s boxer shorts.
Don’t expect this on a routine basis.
