So sad and way too young. He lived a life pretty much not of Hollywood, married the first woman he fell in love with and loved and lived a good life... he will be missed by me. Dirty Dancing and Ghost are still two of my favorite movies.

No, it just reflects your interests. When they were alive, I was more interested in projects Swayze involved himself with than ones Farrah or Michael involved themselves with. Thus, his death has more of an impact with me. Just like as a fan of Three’s Company I was hit pretty hard by John Ritter’s death. Of course, I think everyone was due to his age and the sudden and unexpected way he went.

This bothers me most because I thought he was a fine craftsman. He won’t do anything else that I can enjoy.
There are so many of his fellow actors who just bore me. He found the place in me when I needed it found. Never high art. For that I thank him. I am too ordinary to suffer through that.
I liked him most in Roadhouse. He had a lot of faces. Tough guy. Sensitive goy. Nice guy. The kind of guy most of us would like to be.
You move on, Swayze.
Know that you had people.
