Rush Limbaugh: "Beware, Folks: A Third Party Will Reelect Obama and the Democrats"
RushLimbaugh.com ^ | 14 Sep 09 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 09/14/2009 5:01:13 PM PDT by seanmerc

RUSH: And you enjoyed it for all the reasons that you've mentioned. But we've gotta be really, really careful here, Dana, about this left versus right government thing. You mentioned third party, and we've been through this with Perot.

CALLER: I know that. I know that. And I think Perot helped Clinton get in, I don't doubt that. I do believe there has to be a huge movement before people can vote that way.

RUSH: But a third party is not going to do anything other but ensure the reelection of Obama and every other Democrat running for office because even if you come up with a charismatic third-party presidential candidate, still isn't going to have anybody of any significance running in that party for seats in Congress of the US Senate unless this movement happened to become the majority movement in the country, and that's not what's happening. I respectfully disagree with you here. I understand the anger at the Republican Party. Hell, I've got it, too. I've had it for a long, long time. But don't make the mistake of thinking this is not a left versus right thing. This is a conservative ascendancy that's going on out there. You didn't show up and protest like this when the Republicans were in power.

Conservatism is the optimism of mans soul yearning to be free. Conservatism believes in the good of man and gives us the means and tools with which to deal with our humanity when we fail. If you want to truly understand Conservatism, then you must learn of our Founders and their intent. They were not acquiescing to mans frailty when they created our Nation but were creating a place where we could live by and for gifts given to us directly by GOD himself!

The only way a 3rd party will NOT emoerge is if the R’s turn their backs on conservatism for the next two election cycles. Man up, Mike!

I can remember when Pat Buchanan ran in several pubbie primaries. I always voted for Pat in the primaries, knowing all along that he probably wouldn’t be nominated, in the end though I always voted for whichever pubbie was nominated. I disagreed with Buchanan on several issues pretty deeply, but I still liked him.

Sorry, I don’t care what Rush says. Any GOP candidate that wants my vote will have to earn my vote.

Valid argument.........if one can explain:

If there were a dimes difference between the two parties, why are our borders still wide open?

Why does our government on both sides of the aisle ignore the billions of tax dollars to educate, medicate, incarcerate millions of illegals?

Republicans and democrats alike turn their backs on multiple felonies committed by illegal aliens everyday, yet hold American citizens to a different standard. Why?

Republican or Democrat control, why are we still deindustrializing America?

Two party system? Why are they both spending our country out of existence?

Why is it that both republican and democrats dragging their feet when it comes to auditing the federal reserve? A private banking cartel that drives monetary policy in the United States, yet unaccountable to the citizens of America.

Tax cheats fill our government such as Geithner, Rangel. Sandy Burger steals government documents from the national archives, Bill Clinton commits felony perjury, Finstein channels contracts toward her husband and on and on and on. Dems and Pubs alike either turn their back or slap them on the wrist. If were you or I, we'd be in jail.

Despite economic hard times, congress (on both sides of the aisle) vote themselves pay raises. Order several new luxury jets, lavish themselves with trips to exotic places, enjoy platinum parachutes...not golden. Neither party moves to stop such abuses...why?

Years of Dem control, then a decade of Pub control. Government has gotten bigger and bigger and bigger. Inner city schools are just as pitiful, the homeless are still homeless.

Social security is headed for insolvency...under Dem and under Pub control....why?

Why do you suppose BOTH democrat and Republican parties spend millions to defeat third party candidates?

There are some ideological differences between the two parties, but under the surface, it's the same old shell game.

The reason slick willy got into office was not because of those wayward misguided independents who voted for Perot. It was because those lifelong democrats and republicans buried their heads in the sand and refused to recognize the corruption and mismanagement by the two major parties who have held control for decades.

Sorry, this independent is not sold. If we keep fishing from the same ol pond, were gonna keep catching the same ol big mouth bass.

The message of a successful third party candidate being elected to national office would reverberate through the halls of government as a voice from the people. We've had it with the crooks on both sides of the aisle.

We've had it with status quo, business as usual, the good ol boy network up in Washington.

Wonderful. The Republicans and the Democrats continue to make the environment so conducive to the effort to build a brand new principled and practical vehicle for conservatism that one would almost think we were paying them or something.

Perhaps we CONSERVATIVES should get involved in our state parties to oust these senators.

We can take the party back if we stop carping about RINOS and get out there and DO IT!!!!

Also—make sure the SOS in your state is a CONSERVATIVE. The commies have been very canny with their “Secretary of State” project getting Demons elected so they can perpetrate their voter fraud.

Quit conducting “open primaries” where people purposely vote for a liberal. How do you think we got McCain?

That’s what the Christian Coalition did. They took over grassroots organizing at the state level and got Newt the votes to takeover the House.

Then, the media, Clinton, IRS, RINOs and many Freepers began to go after Pat Robertson and Christians in general...

We can’t have the America we all love without the participation of Christians.
