Kudos to “Jim Thompson” and the rest of the organizers, as well as the DC chapter hosts. I enjoyed the weekend thoroughly.

We are a great group of oddballs.

Also, thanks to the staff, especially the shuttle drivers at the Sheraton. They did a fine job making me feel welcome. The drink prices were obscene, but the place was OK.

I guess it’s time to change my tag line.

While I’m at it, I’ll always remember the view from the shuttle through the revolving glass doors as I pulled away from the Hotel in the shuttle: JimRob was holding court with a small group of Freepers, including a couple of the DC folks. They were all grinning from the obvious pleasure of eachother’s company.

What a great way to remember the weekend. Thanks guys.

Next time we do this, we'll have to take a walk up the hill to the K-1 Liquor store; it's only about a 1/2 mile walk one way...I know this because I walked to the CVS across the street three times....Gotta pack better next time!

$12.50 for a martini up ... beyond obscene.

The bar setup in my room however was quite reasonable, although lacking in good company.

On banquet night I was able to scarf up enough free drink coupons from teetotalers to dine in comfort.
