Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.), under fire since his shout of "You lie!" at President Obama during last week's presidential address to Congress, took to the House floor Monday afternoon but did not offer the public apology that Democratic leaders have been demanding to avert a vote to reprimand the lawmaker later this week.
Instead, Wilson, who has been hailed as a hero by conservative activists -- and whose supporters have filled his campaign coffers with nearly $1 million in less than a week -- gave a short summary of the town-hall meetings he held on the proposed health-care legislation during the August recess.

So now “Speaking truth to power” is a hate crime?
If Queen Nancy summons Joe Wilson to stand in the well of the House, every true conservative there must go stand with him. Otherwise, they will betray a lack of character and do not deserve our vote next November.
****
I saw a better version of that phrase, credit to LLS:
Speaking truth to evil.
The left better fear the time when
we determine that being civil to
them has just lead to their empowerment,
and we decide to act differently than
we have treated them for 70 years.
So now Speaking truth to power is a hate crime?
Only when the democrats are in power!
The reader comments at the site are a hoot.
Awesome photo using You lie, but if I see that face turned up one more time I just might slap my computer!
:)
I think the Democrats and their MSM, in their infinite wisdom are making it bigger, much bigger, than it ever would have been.
“In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.” - George Orwell
I should have hit refresh first, great picture!
Wilson should just tell Pelosi, “you first”, as in she owes the CIA an apology for accusing them of lying.
So if the Kenyan interloper can say that in the US House then any member should be able to call him on his lies. And 'queen Nan' can take a flying leap.
US Constitution, article I, section 6
Black letter constitutional law...
Stand your ground Joe we are all with you.
I think we should hang the nickname “Stonewall” behind Joe’s
Name. ie: Joe Stonewall Wilson.
“There stands Wilson like a Stonewall. Rally behind the Conservatives”..
This was the dumbest thing ever. EVER!!!
Never, ever allow your opponent to define the terms of the debate. NEVER!!!
It was really at that point when I began to feel the Republican Party, as it exists today, has become irrelevant in most all areas of social contracts viz á viz the politics of Constitutional liberty.
The new breed is slowly emerging, led by one Sarah Palin. There are others out there who are active and a bit vocal, but thus far none of them do it quite like Sarah.
The next year or so will define the parameters of that social contract as it applies to this government and the people it purports to represent.
These will be very dicey, very trying times.
