“NYC Terror Plot Suspect, Father Arrested in Colorado”

SNIPPET: “Federal agents Saturday arrested Najibullah Zazi, the man under investigation in a terrorism probe in New York, and his father after swarming Zazi’s Aurora, Colo., apartment.
At 9:30 p.m., 15 to 20 law enforcement cars reportedly swarmed into the parking lot of Zazi’s apartment.
Both Najibullah’s Zazi and his father, Muhommad, were removed from the apartment in handcuffs by armed FBI agents.”

SNIPPET: “Suspected mastermind Najibullah Zazi, 24, and his father, Muhammad Zazi, were handcuffed as authorities raided Zazi’s suburban Denver home, television broadcasts showed. It was not clear what charges they faced.
Two more arrests were expected in New York City, CNN reported.
One suspect in the probe - that now reaches from New York to Colorado and overseas - told investigators that Zazi was expected to decide when the cell would launch their attack, a law enforcement source said.
ABC News reported Zazi also had used his computer to research football stadiums and sites where recent Fashion Week events were held in Manhattan.
Zazi also had a cell phone video of Grand Central Terminal, sources said.”
SNIPPET: “None of the potential stadium sites was identified by name, although both New York and Denver - the two cities at the heart of the investigation - host multiple professional sports stadiums.
It was unclear if the stadium information was tied directly to any specific plot hatched by Zazi, an Afghan national who moved to Denver from New York six months ago, sources said.”
