SNIPPET: “Quoting an unnamed law enforcement source, the Associated Press reported Tuesday evening that Najibullah Zazi, a 24-year-old airport shuttle driver from Aurora, is under surveillance in connection with a possible plot to make homemade bombs. Federal agents raided three homes in New York City early Monday as part of the investigation.
But Zazi, who spoke at length to The Denver Post Tuesday from the doorway of his southeast Aurora apartment, said he is not connected to al Qaeda and said he has not been contacted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”
SNIPPET: “One raid was conducted at 144-67 41st Ave. in Flushing. Naiz Khan, one of the men who was questioned at the building, said the agents were most interested in an acquaintance who had stayed at the apartment on Thursday but was not there when the raids occurred.
Khan said the acquaintance lived in Flushing at one time, attending the same Afghan mosque in Queens, Masjid Hazrat Abubakr, as the five men who live in the apartment that was raided. The man moved to Colorado about eight months ago, but had returned to New York.
Akbari Amanullah, a cab driver who lived in an apartment with four other natives of Afghanistan, said when he arrived home from work afterward, he was told that one of his roommates had been taken away.”

Also, the study still has passages that "criminalize religious behaviors," said Aliya Latif of the New York office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a coalition member.") The "Target: America" memos, which Counterterrorism and Homeland Security Reports identified as "very good reads for CT professionals," provide detailed insight into terrorist targeting strategies and tactics.") SNIPPET: “Zazi was stopped at the George Washington Bridge on his way into the city, sources told The News. Authorities later seized his rental car from a Queens street, sources said.
In the car, sources said the feds found documents and papers about bomb-making and bombs. The massive federal response was “an indication of just how serious a threat they see this as,” said Frances Townsend, a former counterterrorism adviser to ex-President George W. Bush.”

SNIPPET: “Red flags about an impending attack went up last week when Zazi visited with several people in a single day, combined with worrisome information collected from wiretaps, sources said.”
