Time Warner Cable confirms that it has pulled the Democratic National Committee's ad claiming that Republicans want to kill Medicare.
A Republican National Committee lawyer wrote the cable provider to complain that the ad was false, and the RNC said Friday that the ad was being pulled, which the DNC denied. My colleague Andy Barr spoke today to Rich Ambrose, Time Warners vice president for political ad sales.
As of midnight Friday, the ads were pulled. There were no ads scheduled Saturday or Sunday by the DNC. And we are currently in the process of getting more information from the DNC so they can get back on, said Ambrose. What their next step is if they want to get back on the air is make some adjustments in the script.
