Obama Shrugs Off Political 'Circus' Over Healthcare
His proposal will still pass, he says, dismissing Rep. Joe Wilson's 'You lie' and the ensuing uproar as a distraction. The heckler, meanwhile, says one apology was plenty.

Reporting from Washington - President Obama on Sunday dismissed the uproar over Rep. Joe Wilson's heckling during the president's Wednesday speech to a joint session of Congress, suggesting it was only a distraction -- even as some members of Obama's party threatened to punish the South Carolina Republican.
"This is part of what happens. I mean, it becomes a big circus instead of us focusing on healthcare," Obama said in an interview on the CBS news program “60 Minutes.”
Obama noted that Wilson later apologized, which "I appreciated."
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and other senior Democrats in the chamber indicated last week that unless Wilson went to the House floor to apologize, they would advance a resolution admonishing Wilson for shouting "You lie" during Obama's address.
Wilson's outburst, which outraged many Democrats and embarrassed some Republicans, has helped galvanize many of the president's supporters as well as some of his fiercest opponents.

He has the big crook Axelrod saying they were Conservatives and have a right to protest. They are dismissing this event and those all over the country. Pretending it is nothing. Just kooks.
Here’s a vid of ACORN trying to set up a photo op to make the tea party people look like members of militias... Janet Napalonio said to watch for people with “don’t tread on me” flags. So ACORN had some made up to distribute free. My guess is they might have had an “in” with CNN to make the tea party people look more extreme than they are - but didn’t get the picture. You’re right. And maybe at the next Tea Party - as a way to “give the finger” to ACORN - we should all have one. How dare they try to steal our symbols and try to divide us — how dare they. ACORN needs to be exposed on this - and whoever they were setting up a photo op for needs to be exposed. And the people at Homeland Security should give us an explanation for their position. It’s awful.
