Surrounded by middle-aged white guys — a sepia snapshot of the days when such pols ran Washington like their own men’s club — Joe Wilson yelled “You lie!” at a president who didn’t.

But, fair or not, what I heard was an unspoken word in the air: You lie, boy!

Everytime I see the rules enforced in a Dowd-diatribe thread, I think to myself that Michael Douglas is either the smartest SOB on Earth, or the luckiest.

Either way, he most definitely UPGRADED!

At some point the “Boy Who Cried Wolf” has got to kick in with this country.

I think there is tone deafness to the loose use of 'racist/homophonbe/whatever'. Obama offered to rise above race in this country, and indeed some declared the end of the race wars with his election. What we're seeing now, IMO, is just the old knee-jerk reactions from a group that's watching their champion and ideology flounder. IOW, they're like old generals--they fight their wars the only way they know how: the good old-fashioned way.

So doesn't that mean that Ozero CAN be called liar because he's just as much white as black?

Maybe it means we can only holler, "Your white half lies!" ... or maybe, "You, half liar, you!"

Or maybe better yet, and I admit it is a little wordy...we can say, "Your white lies, proving your white half is so racist against your black half!"
