More Photos from DC 9-12 Tea Party

My husband and I took part in one of the most exciting events in Washington DC in our lifetimes. The crowds were huge, spirits were high, people were polite, smiling and pumped up, and overall, the experience was AMAZING!

We are a force to be reckoned with - and this is only the beginning!

Here are my personal photos from the March and Rally......

You're right - it was very, very tidy. Trash cans were overflowing, but people made an effort to find extra trashbags or to anchor the overflowing trash to prevent it from blowing around. Great crowd, great day.

I think one of my favorites had to be the sign "Tea Today, Tar Tomorrow".

Thank you so much for posting your photos!!! Your picture of the 28 foot long, yellow “Silent No More” sign is of me and my sign... after flying all night from California to march Sat morning.

Oh, I'm sorry.......no it wasn't.

It was just a guy standing in front of us, and I asked if he minded if I took a photo of it.

Isn't it a great shirt? Might be able to find it online.

Oh, Nan! I thought about you as we drove through WVa!

It was just amazing! I'm still pumped about it.

A London paper (Daily Mail?) said it might have been the largest gathering in DC EVER!

Are you holding up the left end (in the photo) of the sign? Is that you?

I am holding the left end of the sign (right side of picture), only half visible, in the Veterans of Foreign Wars uniform. My thanks goes out to both the guy in the black T-shirt and the gentleman in the red/white top hat & his wife from Nevada that went beyond the call of duty to hold the opposite end of the sign for six hours with me, while fighting against the constant wind... truly great Americans.

ohioWfan, I seem to be the only one getting the message “bandwidth exceeded, upgrade to Pro today - Photobucket!” I have high-speed DSL so don’t understand this. No trouble with other photos. I’d love to see a photo of you. Wonder if we’ll ever get back “home”.

It's not you. The server hosting the pictures has capped the bandwidth on the account holder that placed them there.

The only thing that could have made me happier than the turnout Saturday is if all those patriots had been armed.

Bingo. It was a HONOR. I loved every minute of it. I was so proud to have my 13 yr old daughter by my side. I was with Ohio also.

I have a "Pro" account at Photo bucket. They should be showing without any trouble.

Weird. Anyone else not seeing them? If I can adjust anything at Photobucket, I'll be glad to do so.

(Goldwater Chick. I certainly hope we get to go "home" sometime.......and soon!)

Maybe I talked with you! Was anyone with you carrying an “Ohio” sign?

Well, YOU are a great American! Thank you!

ohoWfan, I consider Ohio my home too—both my sons live there—even tho I left 27 years ago! There’s just something about that state that latches on to you and doesn’t let go!

I am just so proud of every single one of you who made the trek to D.C. I heard one fellow interviewed who said he rode for 3 days on a bus from Washington state! It seems to me that there’s a parameter which says if one person writes a letter, say to a tv channel, it actually represents 99 people who wanted to write but didn’t. I’m thinking the same is true of those who weren’t able to attend Saturday’s gathering—the actual number of disgruntled citizens is probably astronomical. We’ll certainly see if that’s true on Election Day!

I've heard that same figure, GC. We each represented ourselves and 99 others.......and that makes a LOT of people!

btw, check the photos again. I have TWO Photobucket accts and had only upgraded one of them. They should be OK now.

(Let me know if you still have trouble).

No......

I wish I did. Great people, everywhere.

I am going to order from Cspan the video for my daughter to keep. She knows why but I think in her later years, she will really understand why we came together and marched and more so appreciate what we did.

Thank you, ohioWfan—they are just beautiful! What a terrific collection of original signs in all these threads. Watch out Congress and Barack Obama—this is just the beginning!
