Really, though, it doesn't matter. Our march was a HUGE success!! I don't want to argue about it . . . but I will say one more thing: The DC Police don't do crowd estimates. At all. As I was walking out I asked one (who was standing with the officer who did the orientation that morning with us volunteers) and they both said, "It is our policy to not estimate crowd sizes." But it WAS much bigger than they were prepared for. The one DC Policeman chuckled, "I'll tell you this: there's more than one person here." :o)
Yes, it WAS huge, and 200,000 people ain’t chicken feed. Depending on the other estimates, 1 million to a hair over 2 million people joined the DC marchers in their own way by holding simultaneous protests across the country.
