On September 12, 2009 American conservative of all persuasions showed that they had awaken . Millions of Americans all over the country protested the out of control spending, economic-ruining, socialistic and unconstitutional tendancies of the current politicians in Washington DC, and particularly the Obama administration. Estimates ranged from 2 million by the Daily Mail in the UK, to near one million by Homeland Security, to several hundred thousand by NBC. Watching it on TV, I believe there were a million or more in Washington DC. See the pictures below and decide for yourself:
And the Official Obama administration response? You guessed it... American citizens are intent on restoring the Constitution. . Conservatives consistantly poll as a large majority of the polical makeup of America...conservative Republicans, conservative independents, and conservative democrats too. When Jimmy Carter ran down America during his presidency between 1976 and 1980, Americans reacted against him and he was defeated in a landslide. The Obama administration policies are worse for America than Jimmy Carter's were, moving more rapidly and with far more abandon than even Carter tried, or Bill Clinton for that matter. The results are going to be the same. Americans want to restore the Constitutional Republic, based on the US Constitution and its foundational moral and republican principles. They are not asking for this...they are demanding it. And they will have satisfaction. Starting in 2010 with the largest overturn in the history of the House and Senate in a single election, and proceeding through 2012, the American people showed on 9/12/2009 that they are willing and more than capable of taking these measures into their onw hands. Current liberal, socialistic, marxistic, and RINO politicians ignore this at their own mortal political peril...and justifiably so. Neuter them in 2010...send them packing in 2012! These libs and the admin are in abject denial.
Let us therefore resolve:
Over 10,000 views yesterday. GREAT thread! How about the ole’ JH2 mega-ping?
Bump
Yeah, America!! I was unable to attend, living overseas, but I was thrilled to see the pictures and when we retire next year, I plan to be very involved locally, in our own community!
Blessings to all who participated, and to those who have prayed all along for our country to wake up and respond to this takeover. I say that we now start demanding term limits...and if they shove this healthcare bill and/or the cap-and-trade bill through, we show them that YES, WE CAN! send them packing in 2010. They think that they cannot vote for term limits, but we voters can...one way or another!
Self-ping for later printing.
The Black Family Reunion was apparently scheduled before the 9/12 Tea Party, so they already had the permit for the Mall.
In all fairness, on one expected so many people to show up. I think I read that the Tea Party organizers expected a maximum of 20,000.
RESTORE THE CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC !
As it was...the numbers were there and spread out around the other event. The picture looking from the large intersection all the way to the Capitol (over a mile distant) with the intersection and the 8 lane road leading to the capitol absolutel full of people (and it remained full of people moving towards the Capitol for almost 3 hours!) tells the tale.
We were told to turn away at the capital because it was at capacity for the permit for the event and that there was no permit for the mall area for OUR event.
We did hear DC Police (very nice and respectful), say our March was backing up side streets onto the interstates coming into the city causing a real “mess” out there!!
BTTT
Pic not showing up.
Thanks for the BTTT!
